"Mm, this is so sweet, but I would have preferred, um, you know, like the blackberry flavor, but this strawberry is awesome, I'm not a picky eater," Jewel said as he spread the jam over the bread, pushing it into his mouth and chewing g like he had no care in the world.
Gideon stood at the other side table, watching someone else finish his food in the space of one day.
His hand was gripping the edge of the table very tightly as he gritted his teeth in withheld anger. He stared at Jewel, who kept helping down anything edible he found in his fridge; he didn't like this.
The moment Jewel had woken, Gideon had pushed the Flash into his hand and asked him to leave, but Jewel had refused, calling Gideon a heartless jerk because he was insensitive to his situation.
Gideon was at a loss; how was the death of an unknown goldfish any of his business?
