Chapter 149 Space

Someone pulled her and hugged her from behind. She could feel how her heart was beating so fast. Looking at the spick fruit she felt so relieved that she didn't fell form it. She will be wounded and disfigured.

Hu'er's attention went to who is hugging her right now. His heart is also beating fast, the way he holds her is a bit tight as his arms tremble from fear. His scent have a hint of lotus.

"Song Li…" She immediately recognized his smell. No one will hug her like this with that smell except for Song Li.

He made her turn towed him and took a hold of her face. "Hu'er… You need to be careful. What were you doing? Why did you suddenly fall? Is your foot hurting? Are you in pain?"

Song Li looks really anxious and worried for her. He kept on inspecting her body if she got any wounds or scratches. Song Li then, kneeled down and looked at her feet.

When he saw nothing, he sighed in relief.

Hu'er just watch him all the way. He looks really handsome and mature. She didn't see him for so many days and never expected that his change would be this big. He grew taller and buffer. He looks really strong yet the gentleness of his is still there.

"What happened?" Her Dada appeared at the door. He looks confused.

Shocked that her Dada suddenly appeared, Hu'er didn't know how to explain what happened and could only mutter, "I don't know…" as she looked away. The thing that happened is not something she could say.

It might put her in trouble. Them knowing about the secret of having 'future' vision is already making her feel a bit troubled, telling them another one will make her too special. A person who is special and powerful comes with the obligation to use it for the wellness of everyone. At least that's what she believes in.

She didn't want to be responsible. She didn't want any obligation. She only wants to live for herself or for her family. Giving them a bit of direction is enough. No one will grow up if they all depend on what power or ability she holds.

On the other hand, Jiu Hu looks at Hu'er and knew that she's hiding something, instead of pressuring her to speak up he looks at Song Li. "Then tell me everything you did as you got in the room."

Song Li saw no wounds or swelling on her feet. He nodded and explained, "I came in to take some fruits that will be dried. Then I saw Hu'er was about to fall down. If I haven't rushed…. Those spikes will…" He looks at Hu'er and shook his head, "No. You should not come to the storeroom anymore. There are too many dangerous things here."

Her Dada coughed, "Alright. Calm down. Hu'er, you can go to your room first."

"Yes, Dada." Hu'er immediately went out the room and closed it behind her. She then starts walking away, slowly.

"Song Li." She heard Dada's warning voice, making her flinch. She glanced at the closed door before continuing with her slow walk.

"Sorry. I… I was panicking…." Song Li's voice trembled. Hu'er knew that he is in trouble and Song Li is also aware of it.

Hu'er heard Song Li sighed as she went down the stairs to go back to her own house. Their voices were getting lower and she couldn't hear them clearly. 

Just as she went out the door someone pulled her to his arms. "Aw…"

"You're snooping around." She looks up to see Jiu Lin smiling at her. His eyes holds amusement.

She chuckles, embarrassed. "Jiu Lin, have you been watching me?"

He chuckles, "Yes. Let's go back?"

Hu'er nodded and they started walking quietly. As they go in the house, she couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you going to ask me anything?"

"Hmm?" He looks at her confused.

She couldn't help but reach out to his hand and sway it. "Well… I promise not to go to the storeroom anymore…" She looks at him coquettishly and move her body much closer to his.

Jiu Lin chuckled, "It's alright. You can go there whenever. Just be careful and keep attention." He playfully poked her nose and after that he sweep her off the floor. He carried her to their room.

It's great that Jiu Lin didn't restrict her. After all, she still wants to put more things in her space.

Hu'er smiles happily as she heard him say, "Your body recovered. Shall we…?

When the moon is already up. Hu'er Daddies and future mates, as well as Jiu Lin are transferring the food to the newly underground storeroom.

Song Li walked towards Jiu Lin and took a sack of fruits. He didn't speak not until both of them were walking alone. "Sorry."

Jiu Lin looks at him and chuckles. "It's alright. You can just let me see her for a bit when it's your turn."

".... Okay." Song Li didn't like that idea but he did break their promise and it's only fair to do so.

"Let's finish this so I can go back."

Song Li just hummed and they continued to transfer all their stocks.

Jiu Lin walked faster. He wanted to go back and guard Hu'er to her room. He is a bit worried that she will wake up and look for him.

She often does that. Hu'er will go out of her room in a daze and look for him. It was too often that she now remembers some of the arrangement of their house even with her eyes closed. Of course, she did bump into things from time to time especially when they move things when needed.

And just as he thought, Hu'er woke up in a daze and muttered, "Jiu Lin…?"

Her eyes were heavy and she couldn't open it properly. She groped the bed and didn't feel Jiu Lin beside her, the bed is also cold. She stood up, eyes closed as she walked towards the closed door. She opens it and walks out only to be bumped by a hard chest.

"Hu'er."

She opens her eyes and blinks. It wasn't Jiu Lin…
