She glared at him but still did so, "Hmm.." Face flushed, she grab off her top and immediately took her blanket to cover her breast.

Jiu Lin's expression looks dazed at her covered breast. He blinked and turned normal just in time for her to look at him. He smiles at her innocently.

"What?" She scrutinized him.

He shook his head. "You can lay down. I will spread the cooling oil to your back."

Jiu Lin stared down at her back. He can see her backbone. He became worried. 'She became thinner…' He suddenly blames himself for not taking care of her well. His mind is full of recipes that can fatten her up again.

"Why aren't you starting?" She looks back at him.

"I'm sorry. I didn't even notice that you are getting thinner. I didn't take care of you well."

"What are you talking about?" Confused with how he suddenly thought such a thing. Hu'er wants to sit down.

He stopped her from getting up and tapped her thin arms. "Too thin," he complained.

She chuckles, "You've been great Jiu Lin. It's just that… This heat is making me have no appetite. I don't want to move and sometimes talk. It's just so tiring."

"I'll cook something good so you'll have an appetite," he then began listing some food that can cool her down as he rubs his hands on her back gently and spreads the cooling oil. She hummed with a smile.

After a while, they turned quiet. Jiu Lin heard her sigh. "Summer would soon go away," he said as his hands slowly put some weight on her back and began massaging her.

She moaned softly. To hide her shyness she asks, "You went out these days. How are they doing? What is happening out there?" Hu'er muttered with her eyes closed, feeling relief at how cool her back is.

"Our dad and other beastmen are finding a way to lessen the heat. The females are getting irritated with how hot it is. Even the cubs and little females that just got born are all crying because of the heat. They are afraid that we will all get sick from this heat."

Hu'er muttered, "Yeah…It's so hot…" He hummed in agreement. "Did anyone visit the tribe? Our house?"

"The Swan Tribe… They went to our tribe two days ago and just left before sunset. They delivered salt and traded some other things."

That's when she remembered the salt issue. It's been so long already. She has completely forgotten about it. Jiu Lin has been keeping her mind busy, well not just her mind... "Are we good on salt now then?"

"Yes." Jiu Lin felt something bulging on her back so he lightly pressed it again.

"That's great…" she moaned.

Jiu Lin was taught how to press it again until it went away and so he did. "There is a new Tribe nearby. They relocated."

"A new tribe?" There is a hint of surprise in Hu'er's question.

Jiu Lin hummed, "Yes. It's a bit dangerous but they did promise to never kill anyone from any tribe."

She sat down, interested in what he was talking about. "Dangerous? Kill anyone?"

He gulped, looked away, and gave her the clothes she took off earlier. "They are… meat eaters."

"Do they eat plants? Just a little? Why relocate here?" Hu'er wore her shirt.

When he hears that the sound of clothing is gone, he looks at her again. She is fully clothed and safe. He began to answer her questions, "Some do but most like meat. They are just like our Fox tribe. They are pretty friendly though so it's great. Still dangerous, since Maine coon loves eating raw food."

She tilted her head and couldn't help but blinked. "Maine coon?" That word is so unfamiliar to Hu'er.

"Yes. They are the Main Coon Tribe. I don't know much about them but you can ask the others when our days are up."

"Hmm…"

Hu'er went to the storeroom. No one is in this house. Even Jiu Lin is sleeping in her room these days so it's completely quiet.

Right now, Jiu Lin is arranging some things in the other storeroom where the meat is. However, because she didn't like how it smells, she went to the next store room. This room is full of vegetables and fruits.

The great thing is that they already found out how to make it colder. To make sure the food won't spoil, other beastmen are starting to dig down and create a room there to store their food and make another for the females and cubs.

As far as she knows, after her days with Jiu Lin, her Daddies and the rest will dig into her territory too. Right now, they are taking care of their underground storeroom first. The food in her territory would be stored in their Dads home for the meantime to avoid spoiling it. That is also the reason why Jiu Lin is arranging it now so it will be easier to transfer.

Hu'er has been touching and eating fruits. Looking around she suddenly remembered something, "Space."

She looked at the sack of dried berries and the sack of spiky fruit. Choosing her berries, she touched the sack of dried berries. "Space." Yet it remained there. Confused, she didn't know how to use her space.

She unconsciously put her weight on the sack as she thought about how to put it in her space. Hu'er has never tried to put anything in space so until now she didn't know how to use it. After that one time going in there, she also didn't go back.

Her days have been smooth but hot. Now that they couldn't preserve their food longer she wanted to secretly help. Even just one sack of her dried berries. Yet she didn't know how.

She remembers what the place she went to looked like. Then she thought putting things in there seemed to be off. Is that her space or is there another space?

Suddenly the sack vanished. "Ah!" Her body fell forward. She closed her eyes from fear.

"Hu'er!"
