Chapter 114 Bullied (2)

The scarred man went back to his house. Before he can even enter the house, a female angry voice can be heard. His ears twitched from irritation. He went in and directly walked into his daughter's room.

A very chubby little female is sitting alone in the room. All the beastman are upstairs, coaxing their mate to eat. This is the reason why the little female is alone.

He sighed and took the little female to his small house just beside their house. With this, the little female won't be able to hear her mom shouting.

"Do you want some water?" He asked as soon as the little female was sitting comfortably.

She only blinked at him. His daughter couldn't speak, only babbling. Her body is good though. Only three whole seasons old but could sit really well. Other little females can only do so by four to five. He is proud of his little female.

He has been making sure that his daughter will get the food she needs to strengthen and make her body healthy.

He took the cup and put some water on it. When he is in front of the baby her hands are stretched out wanting to take the cup from him. He helped her out and made her drink the water.

"Your mom is just hungry, that's why she's angry," the scarred beastman explained even though he doesn't know if she can understand him.

The little female giggled. He couldn't help but smile. 

The door opened. "Ruan Li," someone called him.

Ruan Li, the scarred man looked back, "What?" He saw the beastman, the new beastman who got mated by his mate.

"Yuyu wanted some salted meat. She hasn't eaten any salted meat for five days already. Can you ask your sister if they still have some extra?" The beastman said.  Yuyu is the name of their mate, the mother of the little female.

Ruan Li helplessly sighed. "I'll go but I can't promise that I can get some."

Every time something is lacking they would ask him to get some things from his sister. His sister has tons of things. Her mates are a lot too. Everything is covered by his mates.

Even though he would go there from time to time to ask for things, which made him very embarrassed, he would give them back or trade them for something whenever he goes out. Of course, his mate would get angry at him whenever he does that.

The beastman snorted, "Your sister surely has some."

The beastman knows that Ruan Li isn't favored at all. However, he is useful. Very good at getting all those meat and things their mate wants. Ruan Li just isn't good at coaxing females.

Ruan Li looks at him straight. "I'm not sure about that. If there really is nothing… I'll ask dad if we can go to the Aquatic Tribes to directly get some salt."

"Well, that's good too. I'll go and tell Yuyu about it," the beastman boredly said and was about to go off.

"Wait! Call someone to guard Ming'er. I won't go if no one is watching Ming'er," his tone is very determined.

The beastman looked at him and frowned, "Fine." Then he went away.

Ruan Li looks at her daughter who is playing with the cup of water. He picked it up and took the fabric to wipe her.

Ruan Li's ears twitched. Yuyu is quiet now, someone finally coaxed her.

He sighed in relief, "Daddy will go later. Wait for Daddy, okay?"

Ming'er looked at him, blew bubbles, and giggled. Ruan Li chuckled. He lovingly combs her hair with his hands.

He is not going to lie. He loves his daughter more than his mate. Ever since Ming'er was born, he lived his whole life hunting, planting, and getting more food to supplement her body.

"Ruan Li," a very melodious voice called him.

"It's you," he said with a smile.

The beastman who came is Du Wen. Is one of the early beastman who got mated by Yuyu. Of all beastman, Du Wen was the only one who cared about Ming'er.

"En." Du Wen nodded at him and came inside the house. He pats Ming'er's head as she giggles.

"Did you get some wild animals on the bamboo farm?" Ruan Li stood up.

"Yeah. They are cooking it now," he answered. Now Ruan Li knows why Yuyu is not yelling anymore. Du Wen was the one who coaxed her.

"Go on. Don't worry, I'll take care of Ming'er." Du Wen nodded at him.

"Thank you." Ruan Li lightly pinched Ming'er's cheeks before walking away.

"No worries," Du Wen muttered as he watched him go away.

From Ruan Li's home to his sister, he could hear others talking about the lack of salt. Ruan Li never thought that salt could make their tribe helpless.

Ruan Li stopped at a beautiful bamboo house. He pursued his lips and knocked, "Qiqi?"

Someone opened the door. "Brother Ruan Li you're here." The beastman smiled at him.

Ruan Li embarrassingly asked, "Hu Yao, do you guys still have extra salt?"

Instead of answering, he asked back, "You also have no salt?"

"Yeah," he nodded and scratched his neck.

He smiles and offers, "Well, Qiqi will go to the Tribe leader to talk about it. Want to come with us?"

"Yes, I'll go," he immediately answered.

Going there with Ruan Qi is much better than going alone. He isn't that favored or ignored by his dad. But when it comes to Ruan Qi, it's different. She is the lovely little female of his dad. It also made sense.

"Brother?" A delicate female peaked on the door. It's Ruan Qi. She went out.

"Qiqi," Ruan Li greeted her and smiled.

Two other mates of Ruan Qi's also went out with her. They nodded at each other, as a greeting.

Ruan Qi looked behind before looking at Ruan Li again and asked him, "About salt?"

"Yes," he confirmed.

She nodded, "Let's go and talk to Dad." Ruan Qi happily walked away from their house. Her mate got infected with her energy and chuckles.

"En." Ruan Li followed them.
