Chapter 106 Begging

All of their Daddies are busy today. Some are working and the other joined the Spring Hunting Season.

Almost all of Hu'er's Daddies joined it to have more meat for her tenth birthday and first mating. It is to bless her. It's a very important part of Hu'er's life. That day will signify that she finally stepped into adulthood.

She will have a partner, can get pregnant, and even risk her life just to give life to another. They want her to have a safe journey and a safe future.

On the other hand, Qiang Li, Yun He, Jiu Se, and Shui Lan went to the Monkey Tribe and the Panda Tribe to trade for the instruments that Hu'er wanted.

Qiang Li went to protect the two. Jiu Se has a friend in the Panda Tribe so he volunteered and Yun He has someone he saved in the Monkey Tribe. While Shui Lan is the best at trading.

They only have tons of medicine. They hunted and harvested along the way for food. They also specifically went to the wild bamboo to harvest some for the Panda Tribe. They harvested three types of wild bamboo to make sure the Panda Tribe will trade them the flute and hopefully teach Jiu Se how to make it.

The Monkey Tribe often trades medicines when the Fox Tribe goes here. Instead of finding other things to be traded, they just brought medicines for the Monkey Tribe. The meat they got along the way will also be traded.

While everyone was away, the students of Hu'er's Daddies went home. All the physicians are busy at either the treatment house or joined the Spring Hunting Season.

The five future mates of Hu'er didn't join any of those. Instead, they became her guards. Hu'er has been behaving inside the room. Doing either sleeping, eating, or creating a children's book.

Hu'er was told that if she behaves herself, those things, the instruments will be given to her as soon as they all come back. If not, it will be after her birthday. She wanted to have it as soon as possible. 

Jiu Lin just finished his lesson and is resting outside Hu'er's room. He is the third one to guard today.

First, it was Ke Rin and Xin Hua. He was next by midday. And lastly, Song Li and Shun Su will be guarding Hu'er at sunset. They will all sleep outside Hu'er's room afterward.

After a while, Jiu Lin saw the sun was going down already. He sighed and looked at the closed door.

Jiu Lin already read the book, twice, maybe thrice, no he couldn't remember how many times he read it. He is guilty. He imagined the beastman is him and the female, Lily, is Hu'er.

He knew well that Hu'er intentionally made the painting look like them. The beastman has the personality that he has. The female is the same as Hu'er. He is clear with her intention. She really did it on purpose.

Imagining him topping Hu'er or even letting her top him has made him so guilty that he couldn't look at Hu'er.

Those paintings have been haunting him even when taking lessons with those old beastmen. And because of that, he would mostly turn red. Those old beastmen have been laughing at him. He also could tell them that it wasn't because of what they said but because of the painting that kept on appearing in his mind.

Right now, he is very thankful. He is just so lucky that Hu'er hasn't come out of the room. Giving food to Hu'er is also Song Li's job now. That's why after the day Hu'er gave him the book, he never saw her.

Jiu Lin has thought of something. Hu'er has always been fair and doing her best to be fair when it comes to the five of them. If he could get that book. Hu'er would surely give them a book too.

However, he is also sure that it will not be the same kind of book. Maybe it will be her and a beastman who looks a bit like Song Li or the others. He does want to see their book… but he would need to let them see his too.

It's very complicated for him. He didn't want anyone to see his book. Jiu Lin shook his head, 'I will just go with the flow when the time comes.'

"Why are you shaking your head?" A question made him look up.

He saw Hu'er peaking at him with a slightly open door. She blinks at him. Her ears twitched and whispered, "Have you finished the book?"

Jiu Lin froze. The painting of them mating, flashed through his eyes. Pursing his lips, he looks away.

Hu'er saw his face flush, she knew that he did. She nodded in satisfaction. "Good job, Brother Lin." Then, she giggles.

"Those books you made are the same?" he muttered. Still not looking at her.

Hu'er was stunned. She didn't expect him to ask that. "Oh. Yes, I will be giving them too. But it will be after mating with them. So they have something to read after thirty days is done."

He was right. Hu'er will always be the same. She will be fair, as fair as she could be. "Is it the same..?" Jiu Lin finally looks at him.

"Not the same story. But there are those things too," Hu'er winks and giggles after that.

They both just looked at each other after that. Jiu Hu has now confirmed his guess. Hu'er made several books for each of them, with that kind of painting.

Jiu Lin remembers her telling him that she gave the book to him in advance because he already saw it. He wouldn't tell them that they also have gifts. He would let Hu'er do her thing and surprise them. Let them taste being teased. That's how fair he is too.

Suddenly, they heard someone coming up the stairs. Hu'er and Jiu Lin both look at it. Waiting to see who came up.

"Hu'er?"
