Knock…knock…

I heard a knock on the door and quickly wiped my tears.

“Come in.” I said still sitting on the bed.

The door opened and Mrs Green entered the room, closing the door behind her.

“I saw Bryan just now. Did he come here to talk to you?” She asked me.

“Yes.” I said nodding my head.

“What did he say? Is everything fine?” She asked worried.

“Everything is fine. He just wanted to ask me whether I want to go back or stay here.” I replied sighing.

“And what did you say? You are staying, right?” She asked desperately.

“I am staying here. I told him that my dad is not that nice to us, as he thought him to be.” I said looking down.

“Did you tell him about everything?” She asked.

“No. Not yet. It’s…it’s still hard to talk about…I am still not ready.” I replied sighing deeply.

“I understand.” She said nodding her head.

“Oh! I brought you fruits to eat.” She said as she placed the plate on the bed.
