This is it for me. Finally, my door to all my dreams is open.

¨I´m so Proud of you Nica you´ve made it through successfully¨ Dainy said almost crying and hugged me

¨Alright guys, we don´t wanna be late. Let´s go.¨ Trina said.

All set in my Black long sleeved body hug dress and white heels, I looked into the mirror once my and gave a loud sigh of relief. This is the beginning of a new dawn for me. I smiled to myself and walked out of my room confidently.

Leaving the apartment, my gaze was on room 209 and I smiled even more to myself. Eventually out of the building, we got into the ordered Uder ride and on the road to The University of Wales.

The hall was full and I felt a bit nervous shook it off and exhaled deeply. The right side of the hall was dedicated to the student, while the left was to guest which included Parents and Friends.

As I sat, I smiled and waved to my course mate who as well were graduating with me. I watched happily as the Dean of the Faculty gave His speech.

¨I must say, Today is a great day for me and I feel joyful seeing these young proud and bright faces leave this University in bright colors. As the 23rd Dean of the Faculty of Accounting in the University of Wales, It´s been a huge privilege to watch these wonderful Youths from their freshman year, to sophomore and finally graduating. I wish you all the best Life has got to offer and I am confident to say that you all are going to make it out there successfully. Now, I want you to take this piece of advice, Life has its bad sides. It won´t always go as well as you want it to but remember nothing is impossible and you are achievers. You are The Giant Whales¨ He concluded and a standing ovation was given to him as everyone applauded

A young student, most obviously in sophomore year came up stage and began to speak.

¨We would now call on our best Graduating student for the year¨ He paused ¨Miss Veronica Hans¨ He concluded.

I smiled proudly as I got up and walked to the stage. Everyone applauding and I noticed my parents who looked more than happy to have me as their daughter.

I took the microphone and for a second, I watched everyone seated and my past flashed through. I gave a deep sigh of relief and began to speak.

¨Being in the University of Wales has been a great opportunity and privilege for me. It hasn´t been always smooth I must say¨ I chuckled and everyone laughed softly. ¨I.." I paused and looked at Dainy and Trina. "I've had the best people with me, who saw me through my downtimes irrespective of our differences" I looked at my parents. "I got supports, encouragement and the drive to push further" I said as tears welled up in my eyes. "I was always motivated to be the best I can be and this is the result" I smiled. "I am a product of these beautiful and amazing people in my life. And I'm not done yet. I'm going to make you all even more proud" I said finally. "Thank you University of Wales and all my Lectures and my Professors for being there for me. Thank you...Trina and Dainy, Thank you for being my best friends and being there for me. And thank you, Mom and Dad. Thank you for firstly having me and giving me the best opportunities. Thank you for raising me and making the woman I am today. I forever remain grateful." I ended

Everyone got up from their seats as they applauded me.

The graduating speech ended quickly. Everyone went outside to take pictures with family and friends

"Congratulations Baby girl" Trina greeted

"Thank you" I smiled

"Well, our turn is next year. I sure won't be the best graduating student" Dainy laughed and I joined in. "You must come though"

"Hell, I wouldn't miss it for the world" I emphasized.

I noticed graduating students standing together about to take a general picture.

"Hold on guys, I wanna join this" I ran quickly to join them as my graduating gown cruised behind me.

"Ready? 1,2..." The photographer prepared

"Giant Whales!!" We exclaimed as we threw our graduating caps to the air as he took a picture.

Best Day Ever!

It was dark and I could barely see anything, not even my hands. Where am I? I walked gently as I checked around me to point out anything similar but nothing. Somehow, I end up in a house. It was dark and empty. A duplex, it felt cold and nothingness was the aura here. I began to feel warmth on my feet and I checked to see blood flow smoothly through my legs. I looked ahead to know where it was coming from and saw a body. Who is that? The blood flowed and gradually into a stream and I could barely move from where I was. The body wasn't facing me but I could hear whispers. Whispers of please, echoing several times. The blood had gotten above my legs and gradually turning into an ocean. The body was still there but somehow I'm drowning

'Please..please..please..' it kept echoing and it became clearer and it was a man's voice

The blood was now below my head and I still couldn't move. What is happening?

'Please..don't..kill..me' the voice said sharply and suddenly I saw who spoke.

Drops of sweat flowed gently from my face as I sat up slowly on the sofa. That was...me.
