꧁Chapter 7꧂

꧁𝕾𝖊𝖓𝖘𝖊 𝖔𝖋 𝕯𝖆𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖗꧂

Days had passed and his situation is getting better. His wounds were already healed. His fever had been long gone. That's a relief for me though. Yet he's still unconscious.

Meanwhile, I have been training my physique recently so I wouldn't get unconscious that easily. I performed meditation and breathing exercises for a better vigor and to restore my mana.

My vigor is already improving. Yet, I can't still manage the divine powers that was bestowed by me. There were times that my powers would flow into my hair, making them gold again. But that's temporary only.

I stared at James---I mean, Livius. A mortal who has a royal blood that flows within him wouldn't die easily. That's why, even he couldn't drink or eat for many days, he would survive.

But even if that is the case for him, I still prepared some edible foods for him so when he will wake up, he can eat something nice. I cast some magic from the bearing fruit trees so they will fall immediately. If my mana gets weaker, I will use my vigor to climb up the trees and pick the fruits.

Since this is a forest, I am still alert by the dangerous surrounding.

I created my own type of weapon just in case some creatures will harm us. My best option are twigs. Twigs are strong enough and can be used as a self defense weapon. It can hurt others physically if you can use it in a right way and a fixed stance.

Back then, I still remember, there was a wolf who tried to attacked me. Since my will to live is strong enough, I faced the wolf, fearlessly and attacked it back with a twig. And if I am not mistaken, I was only 10 years old when it happened.

Since then, I tried learning how to use twigs to attack someone as a self defense. Gladly, that wolf who attacked me isn't immortal. Though there were wolves who reach immortality, however, there are only few of them. And I am glad that I didn't face such.

Since the sun has risen already, I decided to grab the chance to sleep. Ferocious creatures such as beasts, serpents, and many more will vanish in the morning.

My arms are also swollen already due to fighting several beasts at night. Taking a rest would restore my mana and vigor also.

If I would have been wiser than myself right now, I would probably use my deity powers so I won't feel any pain or struggles. However, I am lacking of knowledge on how to use it. Casiela did not also tell me what type of deity she is. All I know is that she is unknown and unwanted. So probably, no one would write something about her and even her attributes.

I even haven't encountered any priest or priestess in my life that's because they are too holy and was in a seclusion. They also use divine magic or power which comes from a deity. Since they are capable to do so, people believed that they are better to be secluded like deities.

That's why I'm bothered because I am literally clueless.

Casiela did not have any worshippers or believers, so it's understandable that there would be no priest or priestess either to become her apprentice.

Even so, I should still thank her for saving me and giving me another chance to live. For letting me know what should I do to prevent tragedy that is coming before us.

There is still one thing that bothers me...

Though I know only a little thing about Casiela, I managed to encounter a technique from her magic. It was embodied with my own feelings.

Back then, I was able to kill James because of the Frozen Soul Technique. It came with Casiela's divine power.

The Frozen Soul Technique is a type of magic where the user will unleash the magic through a weapon and immediately kill the person in a seconds. The person who will receive the attack would be frozen and so as his soul.

However, I have no any other idea apart from it. Since I only used that due to impulsive decisions.

Until now... It's still a traumatic incident...

No matter how many times I want to forget these things, I have to remember them so clearly so that they won't happen to us again.

And speaking off... Jake must be alive too so I must be careful when he's around.

He's the one who messed up everything.

And of course, unlike before, I have no plans of marrying him, and being a crowned princess of Coronia anymore.

I will decide my own fate.

I can meet Alice and may become one of those people to support her, but I have no plans of taking care the entire empire just like before. I am not suited for that role. Thinking about the situation I have caused back then, still terrifies me.

If I would want to be a noble and live a carefree life, I will work harder but not impersonating her sister, Alyanna anymore. I only tainted her name and reputation.

Thoughts are scattering through my mind. I decided to sing a song to calm my mind before I rest peacefully.

Are you going to scarborough fair?

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme

remember me to one who lives there

for once he was a true love of mine...

This was the song I usually sing when I am not feeling well, with I am sad or when I am happy. And I sing this most of the time.

Back then, I have no identity because I had lost my memories. But there's something I remember.

This song...

This song is the one Lindas's been singing to me when I am sad, when I am disappointed, frustrated or even when I am in tears because of how nobles treat me.

Luckily, I grow up into someone who's now independent and strong.

Unlike before, I won't let others belittle me. Most importantly, I want them to treat me fairly just like how I used to treat everyone.

Tell him to make me a cambric shirt

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme

Without no seem, nor fine needle work

and he'll be a true love of mine

Tell him to weave it in a sycamore wood lane

Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme

and gather it all with a basket of flowers

and he'll be a true love of mine

Just like a magic, I had felt a wonderful rest.

I suddenly woke up when it started to rain heavily. There was a dark clouds coming from the sky. I immediately look for Livius. I ran and looked everywhere as much as I could.

But I was too late...

Livius is missing!

Anxiety flows through my blood and directly to my heart. I couldn't think clearly. I began searching him everywhere. I am disappointed to myself that I didn't guard him well.

I'm worried. Very worried.

Since this body is too young and fragile, my stamina decreases the more I run. My breathe is getting heavier. The rain is still loud and heavy. My knees are trembling that made me fell off from the ground.

Elliana... Calm your nerves... Calm down...

Think of something nice. Think of the place where you can find him.

As far as I remember, there's no such creatures who have spells or magic here.

Except of those high leveled ferocious beasts but they only appear at night. So it is impossible for Livius to be gone!

If he is already awake, that would alert me already. However, I did not felt any footsteps around me. It's impossible for me to have a deep sleep either, in such location!

Werewolfs, Scorpions and some other bad creatures only appear at midnight. So there's no reason that they will abduct Livius because they have no power at daylight.

Unless...

"Elliana... Elliana, wake up!"

I felt a warm hands slapping my cheeks in a soft way.

"Did I faint again?" I asked.

"Yes, and you just summoned me!"

"No way! I must be on my body right now." I replied.

"Then I'll bring you back to your consciousness again but Elliana, don't let your emotions rule over you again."

As I began to analyze the whole situation, my feet immediately stood up. Though I feel the severe pain that's aching my body, I tried to walk.

"Where's Livius?" I raised my voice.

The pounding movement of my heart is very loud and echoing throughout the forest. How could I let him be gone, when he's in such a situation? How could I not take care of him well?

I am suppose to return my favor to him. But it seems like I will live my life with all regrets.

But no!

Elliana calm down.

"Elliana, don't let your emotions rule over you again."

I began to move a little and increase my sense of hearing. Yet I still sense nothing. Where did he go?

Did he wake up already?

Though it was raining heavily and very loud through my ears, I focused on hearing some voices or steps of a mortal being. And yes, I really heard some voices.

I tried to calm down my nerves and closed my eyes. I took a deep breath.

I found you, There you are!
