Andrew sat at the dinning with his mother and his sister, having their breakfast. As usual, he was recovering from his repeated nightmares.
“I'm late for work, bye kids” Mrs. Johnson kissed her children goodbye as she grabbed her handbag and left the house.
Andrew and Teresa glanced at each other, a little puzzled at their mother's growing change in behavior and demeanor.
“Will take sometime to get used to that” Andrew humored.
“Yeah, feels awkward_but I like it” Teresa grinned. They ate their breakfast silently.
“Any plans for the day”? Andrew broke the silence.
“I’ll be doing the grocery. You?” Teresa arched an eyebrow at him.
“I'll be heading out after breakfast” Andrew answered. He cleared his plates from the table, walking to the sink and dropping them there. He wanted to reach for the apron when Teresa's voice stopped him.
“Don't worry, I'll do the dishes” she hollered from the dinning.
