The Wedding Day

"Today was the day"

"The day she wishes would never come"

Gina inhaled sharply as she held the banquet of flower tightly against her chest. Today she was going to get married to an unknown vampire.

Although she never wanted to get married because of her dreams, she couldn't help but wish she was getting married out of love. But...Ha!! it was only her wishful thinking.

She was wearing a velvety red gown which hugged her tightly, showing her womanly curves. Gina had prepared herself for this day and yet here she was wavering with fear and panic. Her body trembled slightly as her heart continued it's parade, pounding loudly against her chest.

The church bells rang loudly, indicating for her to move but she just stood there not showing any signs of moving. Katherine's who saw this placed her hand on her shoulder giving it a light squeeze to encourage her.

Katherine stood behind her, she was wearing a floral blue gown that matched her blue eyes.

Soon the door was split open revealing the deserted church. She looked around and saw her parents, Katherine parents ,Katherine elder brother and .... No one else. Not even the relatives of her soon to be husband .

When her father saw her, he stood up and walked up to her. He stood next to her before hooking his arms around hers, urging her to move.

In the blink of an eye, she was already standing on the altar.

Then the priest words resounded in her ears

"l now pronounce you Husband and Wife."

Here goes her dreams...

"You may now kiss the .....".

Before the priest could complete his sentence, she felt someone move making the priest to stop speaking. She dragged her eyes from the floor to see who it was, and there he was, her husband was walking out of the out of the church. When she saw him leave the church, she breathed out in relief.

Gina couldn't thank him enough for not kissing her.

The last thing she wanted was to give her first kiss to a complete stranger.

But tonight a stranger was going to take her innocence. It hurt her so much but that was the truth..

"Georgina, come here." she heard her father call her. Putting a fake smile on her face she humbly walked to where her father was standing at a corner away from everyone.

"I have something to tell you." he said as he patted her head gently like a loving father would do but Gina knew otherwise.

"Go on, Papa." she replied softly.

The more her father spoke, the more the fake smile on her face turned real. When her father was done speaking, Gina wrapped her arms around him, hugging him briefly before pulling away.

"Thank you! Papa"

and with that they both walked to where everyone was.

After everyone had wished her a 'happy married life' which she accepted halfheartedly, it was time to go to her husband's house.

They all stepped outside with Gina, And their mouths nearly fell open .There stood a black carriage, the edges were decorated with golden flowers, tied to a black horse.

There was nothing so fancy about it, but for the people of low status like them who always used the local carriages, this was heaven.

Just the thought of sitting on it made their butt itchy.

Gina hugged everyone, and right now her hands where still wrapped around Katherine. She felt her eyes water as she sadly told her

"I'll miss you so much, Kate"

"Me too." Katherine pulled away, her eyes teary, before placing an affectionate kiss on her forehead as though telling her ' Take care of yourself, i love you, Bye'

Gina swiftly turned around, before walking steadily into the door of the carriage by the help of the chauffeur. Once she was seated , the tears she had held back poured down heavily as she just realized that she had lost the only person she had always trusted, loved and cherished. The only person that equally loves her and understands her.

Today she had lost her Best Friend..

And Gina was very sure she had lost her happiness along with her best friend...
