Past 3 days

Gina ran through the thick trees of the forest which had turned eerie as it was midnight. After running non stop, She turned breathless. She checked her surroundings to see if anyone was still following her. Finding no one she was about to breath out in relief, when suddenly someone grabbed her left shoulder from behind making a scream erupt from her throat.

She quickly turned around to be greeted with the sight of two sharp fangs. But before she could see who the fangs belonged to, her head was forcefully jerked to the side giving the so called vampire access to her neck.

Gina tried to break loose from the creature's tight grip, she didn't want to give up so easily.

But all her efforts were in vain.

She shuddered in fear when the creature brought it's fangs to her neck.

"NOOO..." She screamed in anguish when something sharp which was obviously the fangs pierced the skin on her neck....

Gina eyes shot open with a start.

She quickly sat up on the bed which was then followed by her hands that flew to her neck. After she was certain that her neck was fine, she let out a tired sign

It was yet another nightmare...

For the past three days after being told she was getting married to a vampire, she couldn't sleep without having nightmares.

Nightmares about vampires.

It was getting too much.....

Sometimes she wished she wasn't some weak human. But then she never wanted to be a vampire.

She dreaded the idea.....

Not because they were creatures who depended on blood. But because most of them she had come across had cruel and selfish personalities.

The vampires mostly the pureblooded one's were of high status. They would do anything to be at the top even if it meant they would have to kill.

And the King was barely bothered

Come to think of it...

The King of Peritian Kingdom was a vampire, a pureblooded one at that. He was a tyrant....

She signed again before letting her body fall back on the bed.

A knock on the door resounded inside the now quiet room. A feminine voice called softly from behind the door.

"Gina, are you awake?"

When the person outside received no response. She slightly opened the door and took a peep inside the room. There she saw Gina who layed on the bed sleeping. She quietly and quickly entered the room, gliding across the carpeted floor before coming to stand near the bed.

"Your acting skills are terrible." Katherine tched. It was obvious that she had caught Gina's little act.

Katherine and Georgina had been best friends since they were kids.

Katherine was a slender tall girl with lovely blue eyes, her long brown hair curled up neatly. And unlike Georgina who was curvy and nicely shaped, She had a very beautiful face.

Katherine was from a middle class family and being the only child she was cherished by her parents.

"Why am i not surprised?"Gina smiled having been caught by her friend. She really needed to put more efforts in her acting.

"You shouldn't be...."Katherine paused, She had noticed Gina's pale skin. "You look sick". Her voice was laced with worry as she placed her hands on Gina's forehead to feel her temperature.

Gina opened her mouth to speak but closed it almost immediately.

"Go on".Coaxed Katherine as she patiently waited. She didn't want her friend hiding anything from her.
