Elara's Doubt

Marina quickly prepared herself, arranging her hair and makeup with meticulous care. She had to look absolutely perfect for this long-awaited reunion with her precious daughter. 

Finally ready, she knocked urgently at Luke's door. He opened it swiftly, takes in her nervous energy. "Didn't sleep either?" Marina shook her head. "I'm ready. Please, take me to her now Luke!"

"Right away," Luke grabbed his coat. Their car was already waiting to bear them towards miraculous answers at the Holloway estate. As they pulled into the street, Luke dialed Vincent, pulse racing at how close hope stood.

"It's confirmed," he informed Vincent without preamble. "Elara is our stolen child."

Vincent paused, seemingly grasping the meaning. "You wish to meet then?" 

"Marina and I are en route now. Will she be at home?" Luke could feel Marina nearly vibrating with anticipation next to him. 

"She's preparing for an outing actually..." Vincent began.
