Chapter 1 – Fateful nightmare

-Caleb Gareth PoV-

I woke up as usual, but with a rainy morning.

"It is raining again. The good thing is that today is Saturday and there are no classes. I guess the weather is not too bad at all. I can call it my "bed weather". Let's try this new Isekai novel to pass time."

- There were 5 teenage students that remained in the classroom after classes. Each of them were unique in their own ways. One was a silent type nerd but with a dark personality, one was a very happy and smiling lad but with a heart that needs love, one was with a leadership character but with somewhat shady look in his eyes, one was overly kind girl, some says she is a "yes girl", and the other one was someone who was known as the most dangerous in the whole class but nobody knows it was just because he had a dark background story...

For me, the story has quite an interesting start so I read on.

Time passed by without me noticing. The sound of thunder didn't bother me at all.

- Knock, knock, knock –

"Caleb, its time for lunch come and eat your lunch. Don't let yourself be hungry or you will get sick. And buy me groceries after eating lunch okay baby?", my mom said.

"Okay mom, just a minute." I spoke. I'm a good child after all. I immediately stopped reading and ate my lunch. After eating my lunch, I hurried to prepare to leave the house to buy some groceries. A loud thunder can be heard outside.

"I kind of don't like this feeling but anyway the grocery is just a 5min walking distance." I thought to myself.

"Caleb maybe you can go grocery tomorrow because it is raining hard." Mom said.

"Mom, it's just nearby so I think I can manage. Don't worry mom." I replied.

"Are you sure?" Mom said.

"Yes mom, don't worry. Ill bring an umbrella and wear raincoat to be safe." I insisted.

"Okay, we are really blessed to have a good child as you." Mom said.

"I'll go on mom so I can come back right away" I said.

I went out with my raincoat and umbrella. I stopped into the pedestrian lane so I can cross the street. The sign for pedestrian crossing is on and I should now cross. I made sure to check any truck running fast so I wont be like those isekai novels. I walked to cross the street in a stormy night never thinking it would be the start of a fateful nightmare.

It suddenly got dark and I can't feel anything.

Then I can suddenly feel my body but my body feels heavy like I am super tired. I slowly open my eyes and what I saw was a darkness but with a light coming from a hole with some jailbars.

"Where am I?" I unconsciously said while I was caught offguard in wonder.

"Where else would we be?" Someone in the dark spoke but what happened after made me be lost in shock. Two blue flames shining like eyes in the darkness and I can see a skull shape head enclosing those eyes. Many things came into my mind at that time and it made me scared.

"Oh f***!" I cursed unconsciously.

"Yes, we are really f***ed!" The strange voice said with those flame becoming a bit dimmer.

'I'm f***ed. I'm mysteriously transported into the unknown with unknown and an unknown.' – I thought.

I scanned myself to check my body. I try to feel what I am. I have large heavy handcuffs on both hands and feet.

'I'm a male for sure, I can feel it down there. I'm relieved to know that.' I thought and sighed.

I feel my face with my hands but it feels different.

'This is not my face for sure. I have a long hair reaching half my back and I have bit of pointy ears. Maybe I'm an elf? Let's not dwell on that fact.' I thought

I checked my body and I feel not too bulky and not thin but not fat.

'This body is normal I guess?' I thought.

"What are you wondering about my friend? Ask, maybe I can give you an answer to your query with my wide intelligence before we join the stars" – the strange voice said.

"Uhm, sire, what is happening, are you a god?" I spoke in a respectful manner to not offend this scary and strange guy.

"hahahahaha." He laughed so hard.

He exclaimed proudly saying, "A God you say?, It was my dream until those humans trapped this powerful one, they all ganged up to defeat me. I am very strong you know but anyway it doesn't matter. What I am curious about is you. You were clearly….."

Before he was about to finish his statement, something hit the container we were in. The container rolled and we rolled with it like we are falling into a cliff until it came into a stop.

My body aches all over until something sharp pierced through the wall of what we were in and the it is slowly tearing apart.

"What is happening here!!!" I exclaimed in an alarming manner.

The sound of tearing and breaking can be heard loudly as where I am is tearing apart. Light slowly passes through as it is being torn and I can slowly see what is inside. I can see the skeleton wearing a red robe with blue glowing eyes looking at me. He has large black handcuffs on him and I can see a faint red orb on his chest. I looked around to see what else was there but my attention was switched above me where the sound of being torn stopped. A strong sunlight was the first that I saw and it made comforted me a bit but what happened next was frightening. It was then I realized that this is a fateful nightmare.
