Chapter Thirty One ..adopted daughter

"I didn't have a place to stay so those street kids welcomed me to their street home !

For a year sir ,I haven't stopped at anything to look for my father and I'm not stopping now .

So if possible ,dissolve the adoption papers and let me go !

I need to go look for my dad ,I don't know how but I won't stop at anything to find him ."Suzzy desperately said .

"You slept on the streets for three hundred and sixty-five days to look for me and I did nothing for you .My dear ,if possible forgive me !

I feel so ashamed at myself right now but I don't know how I will tell you that you need not trouble yourself to look for daddy because he's right here !"Jakes sadly thought with his eyes holding heavy tears but he wiped it off before Suzzy could see him in that state ."Look young lady , it's impossible to dissolve the adoption papers .

You are seventeen which gave me the right to do that and I wouldn't have done that if you didn't put me through all the stress you did !

Do you know because of you I almost went to jail ? "Jakes had to lie again ."What ? But why ? "Suzzy asked looking concerned ."You were ran over by my car because you stole food .The lady whom you stole from tried suing you so I had to pay her debt and even double the amount .

The police questioned me and told me that my driver's careless driving almost made you lose your life but I didn't tell them that you were running in the streets without obeying the traffic regulations rules .

Social service asked me to take care of you until their investigations were done and their investigation showed that you had no home and so I had to adopt you instead so that I don't go to jail .

Do you know why I sent my men after you ?

It's because you stubbornly ran away from the hospital and the social service department came knocking at my door to ask about you and how you were fairing .

That's why I sent my men after you so that I won't be bothered by the social service department anymore since you are a minor !

Monalisa ,forget about looking for your father because you have a new father now !" Jakes tried convincing Suzzy .

"Look sir , that's highly impossible.

You should have asked for my concern before adopting me !

Not everything can be done as per your wish because you have money .

Sir , if you won't dissolve the adoption papers then let me go and look for my father !

That man who left my mother and I will have to know that he's got a responsibility he left behind and that's me !

Well ,either ways i'm not going to look for my father because I love him or I'm craving to me him ,on the contrary I despise him for abandoning my mother and I!

However I'm looking for him because even if he doesn't want to help me build a better future ,I want to tell him the jerk that he is !

My mother was the one who insisted that I should look for him .

She told me what that jerk did to her !

He betrayed her again and again !

For a year and some days now ,I 've longed to see him but now ,I feel like hanging him to death !

I need to go out and look for JR who appears to be my dad !

I have very little information about him !He's rich and wealthy and he has alot of contacts and blah blah !

My mother told me he lived in Santa Monica earlier .

I even went there ,to the specific address and I was told they had moved to Los Angeles .

The caretaker told me that the house belongs to Dora Armstrong .

I guess my cowardice father's name is JR Armstrong then ..!

Wherever he is , I'd find him !

By the way my name is Susana Jenkins and not Monalisa or whatsoever you are calling me !"Suzzy told Jakes who wore a worried face .

"Why don't you tell her the truth once and for all that the jerk who left both her mother and her is you !

This way she will break your face but if she finds out the truth later ,then she will surely hang you to death ..!

No ,I can't tell her now .I don't want to break her heart the more ..!"Jakes contemplated with his own thoughts ."Listen Monalisa ,I know ..."Jakes called Suzzy Monalisa again ."Sir , it's Susana Jenkins or Suzzy or better still Susan but I'm not Monalisa !

Is that too difficult for you to understand ? "Suzzy emphasized on her name one more time ."Listen ,I want to give you a better life .

I want to send you to the best college there is and make sure your dreams come to pass ."Jakes tried convincing Suzzy again ."Why sir ? Why do you want to help me ?

If you need a child that badly ,then why don't you adopt a baby ?

That baby is innocent and God will even bless you for giving her a new hope in life !

I'm too old to accept a new father into my life !

Yes ,I'm a minor but my brains have grown to the extent where I can decide for myself ."Suzzy also said ."It seems she's really not going to give in to my claims that easily .She's really stubborn like her mother .I will have to make her change her mind !"Jakes thought about clues to make Suzzy stay by his side and give in to his claims .
