Chapter Seventy One.. balloon station

They both managed to eat the food and within a twinkle of an eye ,they had finished all the food ,drinks and desserts on the table .

There was no single plate containing a meal .Suzzy couldn't believe her eyes either but Jakes was happy .

He used the trick of being an eater to force Suzzy to eat to her heart content indirectly making it an eating competition which he knew Suzzy wouldn't back out .

After having their meals ,Jakes and Suzzy took a tour to Riddles Cooperation and Jakes showed her around all the five firms under Riddles Cooperation .

Suzzy got the chance to get introduced to all the employees of Riddles Cooperation .

After having a tour at Riddles Cooperation ,Jakes then took Suzzy to the town square to watch the fountains .They sat at the town square and kept themselves busy with some ice creams and chitchats and even some photos .

"Mummy used to send me to the town square whenever it was my birthday .

You know ,I was born at the town square of Belton so on each birthday celebration of mine ,mummy and I visited the town square .I really miss all those moments with her .

Umm! sorry ,it looks like I'm talking too much . Don't pay attention to me , it's just that this is how mummy and I used to chat ; like this ,sitting so close to each other and chatting like friends do .

Hmm! why ? why are you just looking at me and smiling ?

Why ? do I have something on my face ?" Suzzy asked passing her hands on her face .

"It's nothing ,I just love hearing you talk about your childhood and I know I've really missed a great deal since I wasn't there .

When I was supposed to be there for you and your mum ,I wasn't there .I'm such a bad father to you and a worst husband to your mummy .

If I had been there with you and your mother during those trying times then you and your mother wouldn't have had to go through alot .

I'm so sorry ,please forgive me,princess . "Jakes said with a remorseful imperative voice .

"Heyya ! oops ! look at what we have here .Jakes Riddles ; president of the Riddles Cooperation has teary eyes ,haha,!

I must capture this .."Suzzy took a pic of Jakes with his teary eyes and shyly he bent down his head .

"You know what , it's not a bad thing to cry or share your pain with someone .Crying doesn't make you weak or it doesn't make you any less handsome .

When you cry ,the burden on your heart gets away so trust me buddy ,you look cute when you cry ..hehe! "Suzzy teased Jakes who was wiping away his tears .

"Are you teasing me sweety ? this is so wrong ,you will make me cry the more ..hehe! "Jakes pulled Suzzy's chubby cheeks playfully .

"I'm so sorry for troubling you .Sorry for shouting at you the last time .

I don't want us to fight like enemies and I know that your absence some time ago in our lives hurt us but you are here now right ?

You are here and you are doing exactly what any father would do for his daughter to keep her happy .

You might not be the perfect dad for the world because of your past mistakes but you are my perfect dad and buddy as well .

Believe this or not ,even I don't want us to be on bad terms anymore ,I want us to be friends .I want to give you the chance to be my father so what do you say daddy ?

Will you accept your stubborn daughter in your life too ? "Suzzy wiped away her tears and offered her hands to Jakes .Jakes couldn't help himself but pull Suzzy into his tight and warm embrace .

"Thank you so much ,princess .Thank you so much for accepting me despite my mistakes ,thanks ."Jakes kissed Suzzy's forehead and then pegged her chubby cheeks and pulled her into his embrace again .

"Ermm! so does that mean that you accept my choices too ? "Suzzy chipped in while embracing Jakes tightly with her ambivalent smile all over her face .

"Ooohh! so this was all for choices ,huh ? "Jakes teased questionably .

"Anyways , anything you want princess .Even if you want the stars in the sky ,daddy will give it to you ."Jakes exaggerated a little bit .

"Oh ,is that so ? will you give me the stars in the sky ?

Okay ,I want the brightest star in the sky that makes my daddy smile always , can you get it for me ? "Suzzy poked Jakes' nose with the choco vanilla ice cream and teased him with a big smile on his face .

Jakes on the other hand smiled so wide that all his handsome facial features were exposed .

"That's like my daddy ,give me a high five ."Suzzy said and Jakes gave her a high five .

"You know ,you should always smile like you are doing now .You look so handsome and cute when you smile plus , you should stop being so formal at times .

Enjoy life daddy ! "Suzzy told Jakes and pulled his cheeks playfully too .

"Come with me .."Suzzy stood up and held Jakes' hand .

"Where too? "Jakes asked , standing up with a smile .

"Oh daddy ! you will know afterwards .Now come on , don't treat me like your business client and come with me .."Suzzy pulled Jakes along to a balloon station at the town square.

"A balloon station ? "Jakes asked since he wasn't used to doing such things plus he thought he wasn't a kid to come to a balloon station and blow balloons .

"I know what you are thinking buddy .You rich kids don't do such things especially during your childhood days but these things are fun , it's part of one's life because once in a while you need to have a part of your life where each time you recall ,you will have a reason to smile .

I know you and mummy have really enjoyed yourselves going on hiking and biking expeditions at different countries like rich people do...

So now ,you need to do something with me too . Something you'd always remember and smile about "Suzzy said and pulled different balloons in front of her .
