Chapter Ninety Seven..who fell in love with whom first ?

There was entire silence in the car since Jakes and Eloise looked in opposite directions .

"Hmph! so are we going to keep silent till the trip ends or are we going to talk about something dear mummy and daddy ?"Suzzy asked both her parents .

"Ah well ! I see you both have nothing to talk about so can you tell me about how you first met ,I mean your first meeting place and what you said to each other ,please !!"Suzzy gritted her teeth and both her parents looked at her from the front glass .

"Oh come on both of you , don't tell me that you don't recall anything about your first meeting because I guess it was love at first sight ,right ?"Suzzy said .

"What! it was nothing like that .He seemed so arrogant when I first met him ,he was so full of himself and there was no need for me to love him at first sight !"Eloise said referring to Jakes who was smiling .

"That's not true Eloise ,you and I know that you fell in love with me at first sight because you first approached me with shells in your hands at the beach of Long Beach .

Just admit it ! "Jakes said and Suzzy who was enjoying the conversation began to record everything on her phone without their notice .

"Jakes ,I didn't fall in love with you at first sight , in fact you did ."Eloise made her point .

"What ! that's not true ,okay fine ,we fell in love with ourselves at first sight , don't deny it ."Jakes said looking at Eloise's face .

With their eyes looking closely into each other's gazes and their face so close to each other ,it seemed as though they were about kissing already .

"You wished Jakes Riddles ! "Eloise moved to her original seat .

"Oh no ! you guys can be so boring at times ,you know ?

I almost thought that you were about kissing but you shattered my expectations even before it could come into reality .

Boring you ! "Suzzy said with her hands buried in her face .

"Anyways ,no pressure ! Everything that happened yesterday at the university was Gregorio Hamilton's fault .

He first bumped into me and in order not to hurt his own ego ,he asked me to apologize instead of it being vice versa .

By calling me a street girl in front of everyone ,he wanted to embarrass me but I wasn't going to allow him to look down on me like he did at the Charity Fair that was organized for street children on the latter days of January this year .

I'm telling you all this because you both need to know what's going on in my life since you are my parents ."Suzzy said .

"Do you mean to say that you were at the charity fair during this latter days of January ? "Jakes asked .

"Yeah ,I did come there .My main aim was to see if I could get some help but I couldn't do so because that Greg Hamilton splashed water on me with his car .

The most annoying thing was that he didn't want to apologize , probably because I looked messy to his appeal .He shamelessly threw a stack of cash on me and drove off .

I know that for sometime in my life ,I lived on the streets but come on ,it was only for a short while and I wasn't going to allow him to use that against me .So I told him that I was there because you were there as my father and you donated a significant amount of money to the fair .

I didn't mean to lie but I had to .You know ,it doesn't hurt because he called me a street girl ,it hurts because that part of my life can never be eradicated from my life ."Suzzy said and once her eyes turned teary ,she turned her gaze into the window .

This didn't seem to please both Eloise and Jakes at all .

"That will be the last time someone would hurt you baby because your dad will clear everything about your dark past ,right ? "Eloise asked Jakes .

"I surely will finish what I've started. "Jakes assured both his daughter and Eloise .

"Anyways ,enough of the past issues now ,I trust daddy completely about he clearing the details of my dark past and I also know that after whatever that happened to them behind the bars , they'd think twice before harming me .

But for now ,I want to explore ,I want us to explore Claremont Village to the fullest .

I want to visit the Claremont Museum of Art and then also to the Claremont Craft Ales and then finally to the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park .

Won't that be fun ? "Suzzy asked patting both shoulders of her parents .

Jakes then got a call from Renata and after answering the call,his mood suddenly changed .

"Buddy , what's wrong ? Don't tell me your girlfriend called ,hehe! "Suzzy joked but Eloise didn't seem to like the joke .

"I wished princess ,I wished my girlfriend had called but unfortunately ,she didn't call today hehe..! "Jakes looked at Eloise's face but she averted her gaze elsewhere .

"Actually ,your aunty Renata had called .I have to meet up with a group of Korean investors but the problem is the meeting is not taking place here in California but in Seoul in Korea .

The flight is also in an hour time and Renata is meeting me up at the airport .Princess ,forgive me but .."Jakes stopped as he saw that Suzzy's happy face had changed into a sad face while looking at her in the front glass .

"Buddy ,I understand and don't worry about me or mummy ,work first although relationships do matter so let's go to the airport and waste no time ,alright ?

I don't want you to miss your flight ."Suzzy said .

After a while they were already at the airport . Jakes' private jet was already waiting for him while Renata stood by her suitcase as well as Jakes' .

Being his personal assistant ,Renata went with Jakes on every business trip .
