Chapter 154..A minute

The hexad hanged around Manhattan Beach Pier for a while enjoying the cool breeze from the sea .

Since the place was less crowded ,they all decided to start their project peacefully .

"Well ,if you'd ask me ,I think Rhetorical Arts based on Social Justice as proposed by the ladies ain't bad .

Or what do you think Greg ? You too ,Ace ? "Keith asked trying to fetch more information on the topic .

"Social Justice will be a trendy topic and also very beneficial to the whole of LMU and the community so who am I to reject it ? "Greg added .

"The topic Social Justice will demand alot of resources so by choosing this topic ,I guess it means we are set for the cost of this project .

If you'd ask me genuinely for my opinion ,I think we should create a project fund account that we will solicit funds from to support our project .What do you guys think ? "Ace added nicely this time .

"Even though you are always on my neck Ace ,I agree with you .

A project fund account will help contribute to a larger community to our project ,at least ,to the end of the semester ."Sonya supported Ace's proposal .

"Everything we've discussed so far is cool and okay for our project as far as it's in support for a larger project .

However ,which community will we base on for our project ?

Which community will we support with our project ?"Suzzy asked with her contribution .

"Mona is right ,why didn't we think of this earlier ? "Keith chipped in .

"Even I didn't think of this earlier but then ,now that Mona has brought it up ,what do you all think ?"Greg asked .

"Nevin ! I mean we can make Nevin our main project based area .

Besides ,the topic we've chosen for our project focuses on the view that everyone deserves equal economic , political and social rights and opportunities .

And we all know that Nevin is the poorest and most populated area of South Los Angeles .

Though the neighborhood ,like the rest of south LA once had a predominantly African-American population ,today the population is primarily Hispanic and other ethnicities as well .

So I think that ,our project should reach out to the people of Nevin ,they deserve it ."Josette explained in her contribution .

"Excellent babe ! .."Everyone looked at Keith with that kind of 'seriously ? Babe ?' expression .

Once Keith saw that everyone's eyes were on him ,he forced a smile on his handsome face .

"Umm! sorry , actually I was so excited with her contribution ,you know ? Let's continue ."Keith turned his gaze away in shyness .

"Okay ,now that we have our project based area being Nevin as proposed by Josette and accepted by us all ,we should now discuss what we will do for the area .Right now ,we are volunteers aiming to support a particular community and since historically ,our course of focus stretches on the idea that all people should have equal access to wealth , health , well-being ,justice , privileges and opportunities regardless of their legal , political , economic or other circumstances ,we should make sure that the four interrelated principles of social justice which are equity ,access , participation and rights should be available to the people of Nevin ."

"Mona is right and that's why I've listed here about nine biggest issues on social justice that we could use for the project , all obeying the four interrelated principles of social justice .

We can choose to base our project on voting rights , climate justice ,healthcare , refugee crisis ,racial injustice ,income gap ,gun violence and finally , hunger and food insecurity .

What do you guys propose we choose to base our project on considering Nevin with it's dense and poor population in South Los Angeles ? "Sonya put forward .

After thorough discussion among themselves ,they decided to work out on healthcare , racial injustice and hunger and food insecurity .

Suzzy arrived home very tired but was enlightened up when she received a message from her unexpected chat Greg Hamilton .

"Thanks for today .."Suzzy read not being able to hold her lips from breaking into a wild chuckle .

"Ha! thanks for today ? Is he kidding me or what ?

Anyways , it'd be unfair if I don't give him a reply ."

"No need to worry , anything for the success of our project ."Suzzy replied after hesitating a bit .

As days went by ,the hexad became closer to each other .

Greg drew closer to Suzzy and vice versa while Josette and Keith spent perfect moments together within their friendship time .

As for Sonya and Ace ,their little fights were slowly growing into love unexpectedly on their sides .

"This is what always happens and when I complain ,you all say I'm the bad one here .

The meeting which was supposed to be started five minutes back is been delayed because her royal highness ,Sonya Mills hasn't arrived yet .Will someone tell me how long we will wait for her or what ?!"

"Calm down Ace , it's only a matter of five minutes delay on Sonya's part .She will be here in no time after helping Enzo Amore out ."Josette chipped in while they all waited for Sonya to come for the meeting.

"Enzo ! Enzo !! Enzo !!! that name will certainly drive me crazy .

I will go crazy with hearing his name ,that I can swear to myself .."Ace muttered annoyingly to himself .

"Hi everyone ,sorry I'm late yet again ,I had to help out Enzo and I'm .."

"You are ?! You are what ?! What do you think of yourself in the first place Sonya ,huh ?!

Why do you keep wasting our time for that good for nothing guy ,huh ?!

Doesn't he have a team of his own ?! Can't he manage or what ?! Is he a dummy ?!"

"Ha! wait a minute Ace , what's your prob in this ,huh ?

Why do you keep bringing Enzo's topic up every now and then ,huh ?

You first went to hit him on the face and now you have a problem with my five minutes delay ,huh?!

How dare you complain about punctuality when you are the least punctual among all of us , huh?! How dare you ?!
