Chapter 130..I need to walk

Everything was hazy once Suzzy opened her eyes .The tools and hospital materials in her hospital room all seemed like clouds and inverted .

She looked at herself and saw how the painful IV drip was fixed into her veins .Trying to bring herself to sit on the bed properly ,she took off the medical ventilator which was providing oxygen for her .

She passed her hands up her neck and realized she was been choked by a neck brace yet again because she sustained a neck injury .

Touching her head which was aching ,she realized that she had been bandaged strongly on the head .

"Awtch ! my head hurts ,what happened ?

How did I end up here ? "Suzzy questioned herself .

Just then ,a nurse entered the room to check up on her .

"Hey there ,you are already awake , this is good news .

Your parents will now be calm and happy knowing that you've finally woken up .

They were really depressed ,you know ? "The nurse passed an injection through the plastic tube on the IV drip so that Suzzy wouldn't feel dehydrated .

"What happened ? How did I end up here ? "Suzzy asked confused .

"Don't you remember ? You met with a fatal accident which almost claimed your life .

You are really lucky to still be alive . It's because you are loved by many especially your friends who rushed you here ."The nurse continued to examine Suzzy .

"My friends ? "Suzzy asked weirdly .

"Yes ,your friends .Two girls and one boy .

I still remember their names especially that of the girls because they even arrived here as early as five o'clock AM this morning to check up on you before going to college .

The cool girl is Josette and the one who was really broken down is Sonya .

Actually ,the other guy is called Greg or something of that sought ,I really don't remember ."The nurse explained .

"Greg ?

'Hey , street girl ! don't you know who I am ?

I'm Gregorio Hamilton and I can have you expelled from Loyola Marymount University '

'Mona , let's go home because your parents are really worried about you .

Come with me ,I will take you home ..'

Greg ? "Suzzy recalled her different encounters with Greg especially the night that she had the accident .

She recalls him following her with his car but she lost him by taking another path.

"I called Josette and Sonya up that night and told them I was coming over at their place to spend the night .

Yea ,I later found my life so tiring that I wanted to end it all probably because I was so drank .

If Sonya and Josette with Greg's assistance brought me here , then it means that I had not completely lost him .

He still followed me to help me ,but why ?

What's your motive now Greg Hamilton ? What are you up to now ?

Argh ! my legs .."Suzzy cried out when she decided to stretch her legs .

"Don't worry ,for the mean time you will feel the pain eating up in your legs but you will later get used to it .

That's why ,I brought the wheel chair for you ."The nurse moved the wheelchair to Suzzy's drawer so that she wouldn't have any difficulties reaching out for it .

"Wheelchair ? What ..what the heck is wrong with my legs ?

Why the wheelchair ? Why the tremendous pain in my legs , answer me , damnit ! "Suzzy raised her voice out of frustration on the nurse .

"Calm down and let your frustration settle down too .

You aren't completely paralyzed ,alright ? You've sustained alot of injuries which have damaged your soft tissues in your legs and so it will take time for them to heal .

While they heal ,you will have to use the wheelchair to support yourself and enhance your movements .

Look kid ,it will only be a matter of about two to three weeks because you've sustained muscle contusions.

You can't stand on your feet even if you want to because by bandaging your legs ,we are looking forward to reducing the tremendous pain in your legs .

If you try to stand ,you will only put pressure on your legs and this will damage your legs the more causing your intense pain .

I know it's not easy but bear with this for only two to three weeks and everything will be okay .

Everything will surely be alright ,I can fully assure you . "The nurse tried comforting Suzzy .

"No ! you don't understand ! You don't , because you don't know what I've been through in life !

I cannot go through this torture again ,no I can't !

I need to walk and I mean now ! I don't care what you and the doctors have to do but I need to walk ,I need to walk ! I need to walk , don't you get it ?! "Suzzy angrily threw the jar containing water on the floor out of frustration and not only did the water splash on the floor but the jar broke into pieces .

"Oh my God ! this girl is getting out of hand ,I need to call Doctor Miller now before she breaks the entire hospital down out of her frustration ."The nurse rushed out of the hospital room to inform the doctor about Suzzy's condition .

"I need to walk ,I can't go through the same torture again like when I ran into dad's car sometime ago .

I need to walk and I will walk without a wheelchair ."Suzzy convinced herself in her sobs .

In her attempt to stand up from the bed ,she fell hard on the floor and her tears knew no bounds .

For three consecutive times that she tried standing up from the floor , she only ended up hurting herself bitterly .

"Argh !!!!!!!! "Suzzy hit her hands frustratingly on the floor in tears ."I need to walk even if it hurts ,I can't sit in the wheelchair like a helpless girl ,I have to walk ! "Suzzy tried dragging herself from the floor but she couldn't and her injured leg began to bleed as a result of the pain she was inflicting on it .
