Going Home And My Breakfast With Miu

Hey, Shun here!

I thought quests would last longer than how our quest panned out but I guess we got too fired up doing our first quest.

Well, it was a nice learning experience so it isn't that much of a deal. We also got extra rewards for finishing it early so there's no problem at all.

I wonder if our quests would take us years to finish it? Hmm… Maybe I'm tripping some flags here, but I wouldn't really mind tripping as many as I can at this point.

I want to go to a fantasy world!

(Shun's POV)

Right now, I'm currently in the backyard of the Honjou Family's residence, accompanied by Rikka-san. Oh, speaking of her, she's playing with a bunny with milky white fur, light green eyes, and some light green colors on its body.

With its height of about 1ft tall and its fluffy looking body, this creature is pretty much the embodiment of cuteness. It's no surprise that this bunny caught the attention of a girl such as Rikka-san.

I mean, it looks really cute in my eyes as well.

"You're a real cutie~. I can tell from my [Tyrant's Eye] that you're really powerful but I didn't think that high power level could go hand in hand with high cuteness level! As expected of the familiar of our [Admin]!"

"Squeak?"

Hey, Rikka-san, I'm pretty sure that's not how your magic eye works. Also, now that you've mentioned it, cute and adorable creatures are rarely set as a major boss in any games.

I guess it's because they couldn't look intimidating when they needed to? Eh, but that Vorpal Bunny I faced was just a nice in between of cute and intimidating at the same time.

"By the way, what's this little cutie's name?"

"Hmm? Its name? Now that you've mentioned it, I have to think up of a name for him or her…"

Right, I need to think up of a name for her. I could give him/her the name Wendy or Windy and be done with it but…

Oh, right! I could give her that name.

"I thought of something."

"Oh? What is it?"

"Since I don't know his/her gender, I'll just give her a kinda gender neutral name. I'll give her the name Tsuka, then."

*[A/N: 'tsu' from 'tsuyoi' and 'ka' from 'kaze'. Combined together, it'll mean 'strong wind'. I'll mainly refer to Tsuka as a girl since I couldn't help but associate rabbits to rabbit girls.]

"Squeak! Squeak~ squeak~!"

"Oh? Looks like you really like your name?"

"Squeak~!"

"There there…" Ohh, her fur is really soft and nice to the touch.

"Let me touch her too!" Rikka-san seems to be getting quite jealous.

"Rabbit~?"

"Is she a meat or a friend nanodesu?"

"Hey, this rabbit looks really fluffy. Ah! How can I, a Great Archdemon, be tempted to touch this rabbit!"

"Woah! A green rabbit? Hey, did you paint its fur or something?"

"Hee~… She looks really fluffy. Tsuka-chan, right? Can I pet you?" Without me noticing, Kaede-san is already near Tsuka with her eyes shining.

"Hey hey~. Is this a fantasy rabbit, a mythological one, or a supernatural one? Which one is it?

It looks like Rikka-san got tempted to touch Tsuka, too. Hmm? When did you girls come here?

Also, Pochi, Tsuka is not something you can eat, okay? We don't identify who's an animal friend or not by if they are 'a meat or a friend'. That's just not how it works.

Risa-san, I didn't paint her fur or anything. It's normal. Well, I guess I couldn't tell her that right now?

Mutsuko-san, it's none of the above. It's a familiar, a spiritual kinda pet. I guess identifying Tsuka as a fantasy creature does count as well?

Thus, we all spent our last day in Kaede-san's dimension playing with Tsuka. It looks like the little Vorpal Bunny didn't mind the attention she is getting at all.

Way to go, Tsuka! You, along with Pochi and Tama, could do a good job being our group's mascots or something.

Days really do come by in a flash if you're enjoying each and every moment of it. Before we knew it, it's already time for all of us to depart and go back to our own dimensions.

Looking at the timer on our [Group Chat], it says that there's exactly three minutes left before we are forcefully ejected out of this dimension. All of us already have all of our belongings arranged as we all gathered inside the living room of the Honjou residence.

Risa-san just went home after she said farewell to all of us. It looks like her mother is looking for her.

"I guess we'll all just meet in [OSO] and [NWO] for the time being until our next quest, huh?"

When I unconsciously muttered those words, Pochi and Tama suddenly approached me, hugging me on my waist tightly.

"Pochi will miss everyone nanodesu!"

"Tama too~"

"Don't be sad, Pochi-chan, Tama-chan. Maybe our [Group Chat] will allow us to visit different dimensions when it upgrades or something, like our VR Gears!"

Kaede-san really is great at handling children. When we all got out to play at a nearby park, kids loves to play with her, Rikka-san and Satania-san.

I guess you could count Mutsuko-san in the group who's also well liked by children as well but she's mostly occupied by her wild ideas about hidden weapons and such so I didn't see her interact with kids that much.

"Don't worry, Pochi, Tama! I, with my [Tyrant's Eye] as the witness, promise that we'll play so much in the VR world that you'll never notice the time pass by fast!"

"Of course, I, Satanichia Kurumizawa McDowell, the Queen of all Hell, also vow to play with you often! Be thankful!"

"Don't you worry Pochi-chan and Tama-chan. We'll still meet in the VR world."

Oh, looks like Rikka-san, Mutsuko-san, and Satania-san couldn't help but also comfort Pochi and Tama after seeing them be so sad. These three are really wonderful people as well.

If they just remain silent, I think many people would line up to court them.

While we were comforting the two, time finally came for us to leave this dimension.

"Well, I guess it's time for us to go back to our own dimensions. You guys, take care of yourselves. Also, Pochi, Tama, find someone older than you who could take care of you in your world. We can't have you be stuck at an alleyway all the time…"

"Ai~!"

"Understood nanodesu!"

"Be sure to welcome us in your game, [Admin] Shun! I can't wait to show everyone with how powerful my [Tyrant's Eye] is!" Rikka-san seems to be pumped up.

"If what you said about the game is true, I think I could have lots of fun in there. I didn't meet much monsters in [NWO] since I'm stuck in the smithy, forging."

"Hmpf, like that [New World Online] my ultimate goal is to also conquer [Only Sense Online]! This way, many people will bow to my noble name, Satanichia! A-Hahahaha!"

While we are continuously being enveloped with a light that's getting brighter and brighter by the second, Mutsuko-san and Satania-san didn't forget to say their own piece. Also, good luck in conquering both game, Satania-san.

"Take care guys~. I'll see you in the game at [Admin] Shun's dimension!"

While Kaede-san said her goodbyes to us, we gradually disappeared in the Honjou Family's residence.

The next thing I knew, I'm back to my original world, with everything the way it was when I left.

"I'm back, huh."

Seeing that it's 10 PM in the evening, the same time we left Kaede-san's dimension, I decided to just hit the sack. It's actually really disorienting to spend time in another dimension then go back when time literally stopped in your home dimension.

The next morning, I woke up at the usual time, 4:30 AM, and did my daily exercise, weapon training, and martial arts training. Currently, I'm at our house's backyard, doing some practice swings with my wooden sword at a dummy made of straws.

"Haa!"

*whooosh*

With just one swing using a bokken, the straws on the practice dummy was sliced neatly.

Heh, I could seriously injure a normal person with that swing. Looks like my daily practices is paying off.

Except for that one time when I woke up late, I've been doing this kind of training everyday. At times, I would try doing a sword dance in order to gain some muscle memory at striking in different angles while still maintaining the essence of wielding a sword.

I stuck with my fundamentals but I made sure to remove some excess movements I notice, too. Well, I'm no master so I don't know if I've removed that many excess movements, though.

My past sword teacher can no longer teach me anything, after all. Maybe practicing to continuously use [Vorpal Dance] would be a much better practice for me.

Striking fast, fluidly, and decisively is something that I needed to keep in mind when using that skill, after all.

"Hmm? Oh, it looks like i need to prepare breakfast now. Miu should be waking up anytime now. She really wake up early when it's about games." It's summer vacation so we didn't really need to wake up early but I guess waking up early is still important for a gamer.

After I refreshed myself, I started cooking. Midway through my cooking, I heard some footsteps coming from the second floor.

Looks like Miu is finally awake.

A few moments later, I saw a still very sleepy Miu sit on the chair nearby our dining table before resting her face on top of the table like a lifeless zombie.

"Are you still lacking sleep?"

"Un… I feel sleepy even though I've been technically sleeping while playing the game…"

"Even if you're technically sleeping while playing [Only Sense Online], your brain is still working. Isn't that why developers warned us not to play too crazily or it might have adverse effects?"

I should tell mom and dad about this. They should just implement some kind of log in time limit in order to prevent problems like this from cropping up.

"But I just wanna catch up to Onii-chan~."

"My dear sister, your health is more important than you catching up to me, alright? Go to sleep like, around 10 or so. I'll tell mom and dad about this if you don't."

"Alright, alright. Geez, you're so strict, Onii-chan."

"I just don't want you to get sick from playing too much games…"

I've been there once. I did not sleep for five days straight and ended up being stuck in my bed for more than a week.

Maintaining a healthy life is also a part of being a gamer, I think?

"U-Umm… Thank you, Onii-chan. For worrying…"

"No problem. You're my precious little sister, after all. Right, let's eat. Food's ready."

"Oohh! Is it hamburg steak today? Looks really delicious!"

After that, we ate our meal. It's a secret that I got too used to cooking hamburg steaks for Pochi and Tama that I ended up cooking one for breakfast out of habit.
