The Self Proclaimed King's short reign

It took Thorell nearly half an hour to reach the village but once he arrived what he saw had caused him to become even more angry.

There were bodies of villagers dead on the ground in front of him. Some of them were even women, children and Elderly.

Seeing this made him want to go in the village and kill all the Thenn's but just from looking at the village he could tell that there were too many for him to fight alone, and he didn't want to die or rather he can't die now since he hasn't even had children yet.

Thornir also taught them to be calm in situations like this so that they don't lose themselves to their anger.

So Thorell only watched from the trees as the Thenn's carried people and placed them somewhere in the village that he couldn't see.

And as he was watching the village he had this strange feeling that he was in danger, so he instinctively rolled to his left and turned around only to see a group of Thenn warriors behind him.

Looking back at where he was at he was lucky he moved since an arrow would have pierced his skull if he didn't and unlike his other body parts he didn't have a helmet since he didn't want one.

The group of Thenn warriors smiled as they looked at Thorell "Look what we found here boys a straggler from the village and looks like he has some pretty good stuff on him"

"Let's hurry and kill him and take this stuff to the King" Said one of the men

Hearing this Thorell was confused on who this 'King' was. But he didn't have time to think as he was rushed by the group of Thenn warrior's causing him to move out of the treeline into the open attracting the attention of some Thenn warrior's guarding the village.

Now there were even more people chasing him, and he couldn't fight them all at once, so he ran as fast as he could away from the group But more Thenn warriors blocked his path.

Thorell stopped as he became surrounded by a large group of Thenn warriors. Thorell unsheathed his sword, prepared to fight to his last breath if he had to but the Thenn warriors weren't attacking yet.

But seconds later he found out why they weren't attacking as a man walked past all the Thenn warriors with a giant sword in his hand.

The person stood in front of Thorell only a few feet away.

The person smirked upon looking at Thorell who was a mouse caught in a trap.

"Tell me who are you" Said the person

Thorell looked at the person in the eyes before he responded "A warrior"

"So that's how we're going to play this huh, well I was going to give you a chance to tell me since I already know you are the one who killed my men before and rallied the villagers which was stupid since nobody can resist me the King of the Freefolk Ragolf"

Thorell laughed at this "You're no King in fact the future King will be here any minute now to take your head and kill all of your men so if I were you I would not act so tough now"

Ragolf ignored what he said "Look you can bluff all you want, but nobody is coming to save you and if they are by the time they get here you will be dead" Said Ragolf as he and his men started to laugh.

Ragolf was so busy laughing that he didn't notice two people hiding behind a tree. One of them got up and pointed their hand at Ragolf.

Ragolf was still laughing until all of a sudden he was hit with a fireball directly to his face, burning it entirely.

The Thenn warriors immediately stopped laughing and looked at the direction that the attack just came from and what they saw surprised them.

Two women were standing at the tree line holding swords in their hands. This was Val and Dalla who were sent here by Thornir to help out Thorell.

The Thenn warrior didn't need anybody to tell them where the attack came from since it was obvious, so they charged at Val and Dalla completely ignoring Thorell and focusing on the two girls who killed their self-proclaimed King.

As the Thenn warriors charged they let out a loud battle cry "AHHHHHHHHH"

But what happened next put an end to the group of Thenn's as Val had manifested some ice shards and shot them at the group of Thenn warriors killing most of them in an instant.

Those that survived had immediately turned around and tried to run away, but they were cut down by Thorell.

The remaining 150 or so Thenn warriors in the village had seen what happened to both their King and the other warriors and begun to run for their lives while yelling the word Demon.

Dalla and Val didn't pursue nor did Thorell since they didn't need to pursue them as they will be dealt with later.

Val and Dalla had walked up to Thorell checking him to make sure there are no injuries on him

"I'm fine Val and Dalla they didn't even attack me yet so there is nothing to worry about" Said Thorell

"Good because Thornir would not be too happy if you were reckless and got yourself injured" Said Val

"I know I was just too careless and got caught but luckily you two came when you did or else I might be severely injured by now" Said Thorell as he looked around

"By the way where is Thornir" Asked Thorell

"he is back at the Keep with the rescued villagers, so he sent me and Dalla instead to help you" Said Val

"I expected him to come himself, but I guess I was wrong but anyway let's rescue the villagers that were taken into the village and take them back to the Hardhone before it gets dark" Said Thorell

"Agreed because it will be hard to navigate the forest in the dark so let's hurry" Said Val as she went towards the village. Thorell and Dalla followed after her to rescue the remaining villages.
