Chantria mentally cursed her silliness as she tugged at the heavy chains around the beautiful man to no avail, Chantria glanced all around, knowing she could not pull him out with the added weight of the chain,
Her eyes settled on a gleaming ornament in the hair of the sinking man and she quickly pulled it off, sighing in relief at the sharp, point end.
'Well, look who's in luck.' Chantria thought to herself.
Chantria quickly located the lock securing the chains and inserted the sharp edge of the hair ornament into it,
Lock picking, a skill she had picked up from her brother Denver.
Chantria twisted and turned the hair ornament till she heard the click and she quickly unwound the chains, watching the heavy metal fall away and drop down to the bed of the ocean.
Chantria then wrapped an arm around the sinking man and with a powerful flick of her tail, she made her way up to the surface at blinding speed.
Chantria took in a deep breath as her head broke the surface.
Chantria then glanced down at the male in her arms when she realized he had fallen unconscious.
In her concern for the unconscious man, Chantria had not even realized that she had broken through the surface only a short distance from the Sea Shore and hundreds of eyes were now fixed on her.
Including that of the man standing on the boat to the side.
"It... it's... it's Saint Chantria! By the Deep! Saint Chantria lives!" The man in the boat exclaimed, his loud tone startling Chantria.
Chantria turned to him, seeing as there was no one else on the boat, she concluded this was the very man who had passed judgement and tossed the beautiful man in her arms over the boat.
The breathing of the beautiful man in her arms was awfully slow and Chantria immediately forgot every reservation she previously had.
"You!" Chantria called out to the man on the boat.
"No... noble sa...saint..." The man on the boat stuttered in response.
"How fast can you get him ashore?" Chantria asked in a stern tone that left no room for arguments.
"I...I..." The man on the boat was still stuttering, still completely shocked to see Chantria.
Chantria did not bother asking further, she realized if she spent anymore time talking to this dazed man, the man in her arms would die.
Beyond that, the man in the boat had tried to kill the beautiful man once, what was to say he would not just do the same again?
"Too slow." Chantria murmured, shaking her head.
Chantria measured the distance from where she stood to the shore, although there were hundreds of people there, with Chantria's new found speed, she wagered she could make it there and back before they could think to catch her.
Besides, with how powerful her tail was, she doubted she could be caught in a net or something and if she was...well, she would think of a way out then.
With that in mind, Chantria passed one last glance at the man in her arms.
"Hold tight, I won't let anyone hurt you." Chantria murmured quietly before she dove down into the depths of the sea and shot straight for the shore.
In the blink of an eye, Chantria had arrived at the shore and all the hundreds of spectators quickly stepped back as Chantria's head broke through the surface.
"All hail the Noble Saint!" A man donning armour seemed to be the first to break out of his shock and cried out the words in a loud tone.
Chantria watched in bafflement as the crowd of people dropped to their knees, bowing their heads to her.
Chantria shook off her shock, whatever this was, it was clear to Chantria that the crowd of people had no intentions to harm her at all, which Chantria admitted was a great relief.
Chantria covered the rest of the distance to the shore and slowly placed the beautiful man down at the shore.
While the crowd was still kneeling, two other men who had previously been restrained forced their way out of the crowd and once again, Chantria found herself gaping in shock.
While the unconscious man was a peerless beauty with lush black hair and gleaming silver eyes with the softest features,
One of the two males was an equally breathtaking beauty with fiery red hair and honey brown eyes that were wide and glistening with unshed tears, as for the other...
'Heavens!' Chantria thought to herself as she took in the well built and muscular man, with caramel brown hair and forest green eyes, perfectly sculpted features and a sharp, fierce gaze.
'What was this?! Was everyone out here so good looking?!' Chantria thought.
Chantria could not understand it but she did not have time to deliberate over it as she watched to two men kneel beside the unconscious beautiful man.
"Amir! Amir!" The red haired man cried, shaking the unconscious man frantically.
"Your Grace, he's not responding!" The red haired man called out to Chantria, or at least Chantria guessed he was referring to her.
Chantria was jolted into action as she pulled her weight out of the sea, sitting on the shore with her tail still dipped into the water.
"Move aside." Chantria ordered sternly, the calm and collected bearing of a medical practitioner coming over her.
Chantria leaned over the unconcious male and began to administer CPR,
Although her position made it difficult for her to administer first aid properly, but Chantria ignored her personal discomfort.
First, Chantria applied pressure through chest compressions to force blood through the heart and around the body,
Chantria then adjusted the head position of the unconscious male to establish and maintain effective breathing and circulation,
And then, to the astonishment of all the onlookers including the two men, Chantria leaned over the unconcious male, pinched his nose closed, and pressed her lips to his,
Clearly it was in a bid to perform mouth to mouth ventilation,
But even more clear was the fact that amongst the crowd of shocked onlookers...well, Chantria was the only one who knew that.
