Chapter 15 :Stern

BELLA'S POV～

 ''You are fired''The moment those words pass the don's lips I instantly freeze in mychair before raising my head up to look in the direction of Kate who looks on the verge on crying.

 She steps into the office probably to plead when the Don glares at her.

 ''You got her injured''He sneers and I am left puzzled by why me being injured is such a big deal.

 The way he is reacting is like a queen of some sort has been injured.

 ''I-I am sorry sir''Kate pleads to the don who does not listen to her and instead walks towards the sofa to sit beside me before pulling my hand to rest on his lap.

 Startled I almost pull my hand bac but stay rooted when he glares at me.

 Weird warm tingles shoot up my body at the feel of his huge calloused hand holding mine, the don is a big man and so his hand easily wraps around mine.

 He studies the small injury with his brows creased before running his hand through his hair.

 ''Get out''He barks and I jump from how loud it comes out while Kate turns to leave.

 Although equally nervous and scared I cannot bear to let her go as it is not her fault.

 So mustering enough courage I turn to hold the Don's hand.Gently at first scared the man will lash out on me for even speaking.

 ''I-I she is-isn't at fault sir,please just give her a chance''I tell him while starring into his green eyes.

 I watch as different emotions swirl in his eyes before he grunts.

 ''You can stay''He says and Kate hearing the words lets out a squeal and runs towards me only to stop mid way and turn for the door' ''This is your last fucking chance''He says before standing up.

 ''Let's go,Can you walk Bella''He ask and I almost roll my eyes at his words.

 I hurt a finger not dislocate my arms and legs.

 ''Yes don''I tell him and stand up to show him I can walk perfectly alright.

 He nods his head before opening the door and we step out together.

 ''Next time be careful''He suddenly says and I look up at him before adverting my gaze and nodding at his words.

 His sudden stern attitude however surprises me and I choose to keep quiet for the rest of the ride home.

 The driver starts driving the car towards the house and I just rest my head on the car glass too exhuasted to do anything
