Chapter 12: Her

' I can't believe they want to pull that stunt on me, I had no idea Emma would do that to me, just when I started to think of her and the rest my friend ' Rosalinda thought.

' And what, sisters? ' she scoffed.

She came out if the bathroom and made her way to the classroom,on the way, she saw who she's been avoiding.

' Hi '

'Hi, um I'm very sorry, I forgot to bring your jacket, I'll make sure to wash and iron it thoroughly and bring it back to you tomorrow ' she apologized.

' It's fine, you don't have to go through all that trouble '

' That's nice of you but that doesn't mean I shouldn't wash it at least '

' As you wish ' he smiled and Rosalinda turned to leave.

' Rosalinda? '

She turned back.

' Yes, Charlie '

' I wanted to ask you, would you like to ... '

' Rosalinda ' Jade called out to her, Felicity was with her and they were walking towards her, practically running and both Charlie and Rosalinda looked at their direction.

' Emma ' Jade started.

' What about her '

' She couldn't find her money, it's for her tuition fee '

' Where's she? '

' She went to the homeroom teacher to report it as theft ' Felicity said.

' How sure is she to deem it as theft ' Rosalinda asked confused.

They saw Noah going to the classroom and Charlie said ' We should leave for the classroom now '

' I think it's not just me who thinks Noah comes in before the teacher '

Shortly after they went in, Emma and their homeroom teacher came in and Emma went to her seat.

' I got a report about theft in this class, my class, now everyone, put your bag on your desk ' said Mr Martin.

' I can't believe this is happening ' Rosalinda mumbled and everyone brought out their bag.

Mr Martin searched the bags and Charlie helped him, when it came to Noah and Rosalinda's seat, Charlie searched her bag but found nothing.

' There's nothing here too ' Charlie said to Mr Martin.

' What?, bring it to me, these two are the last people we need to search their bags, I couldn't find it in Noah's bag too ' he pointed at both of them.

' Besides, Noah wouldn't steal ' he added.

At this, Rosalinda turned to Mr Martin and said with disappointment ' So are you saying I'm the kind of student to steal? '

' No but I have to search your bag again ' he said and told Charlie to bring her bag.

He brought out her books and stuffs, but could find nothing.

' Miss Cooper, I don't think anyone is with your money ' he said to Emma and she looked down.

' I think there's one more person whose bag is yet to be searched ' Rosalinda said all of a sudden.

' And who might that be? ' Mr Martin asked and that grabbed everyone's attention and Rosalinda pointed.

' Her '

... Crispy Crust Restaurant...

' Thank you, come again ' Stella said to a customer as he was leaving.

' Did you call Mia lately? ' Stella asked.

' No,not lately but you're the mother, shouldn't you call her even before I do, by the way, why do you ask? ' Henry replied.

' I'm just curious, you know, we've been busy lately and I didn't just have time to call her '

' I'll call her tomorrow then '

' Since there are no customers right now, I should call her, I hope she's not too busy '

' That'll do '

Stella went to a table and sat, she called Mia up and she picked up at the third ring.

' Hi mom '

' How're you dear, I hope you are not busy '

' No mom, I'm at home, I took a day off today too

' Why, I hope you are okay and nothing is wrong, are you feeling ill by any chance? '

' Nothing is wrong, I'm fine, I just thought I should take a rest from work , I'm sorry I couldn't visit you guys '

' It's fine,I just thought I should check up on you, remember if there's anything going on, you can tell us anytime '

' I know, greet dad for me, I'll hang up now '

' Okay '.

' How's it? ' Henry asked.

' She's fine but I guess something is going on with her but she said she's okay '

' If she said she's fine, then so be it '

' Okay '

After Mia kept the call on her end, she slumped on the bed and sighed.

' I should really get over all this, it's so frustrating

' After sending him away, why do I still feel angry? '

Many thoughts ran through her mind,then she sat up, took a shower, dressed up,she took her bag and phone and went out.

She hasn't walked far before she remembered her phone which she thought she took is not with her.

' How could I forget my phone ' she said and turned back, she took the elevator, she stepped out if the elevator and walked forward, a man brushed pass her, he seems to be in a hurry,she caught a glimpse of his face as he walked pass her but she shrugged her thoughts off , she went inside and took her phone and went out again.
