Prologue

'D-DDUN~'

The earth trembled and roared uncontrollably, collapsing Maharlika's busy main road in an instant.

"Kaia, Kaia, Kaia!" yelled a man in the distance, casually calling Kaia's name amid the chaos.

The woman, Kaia, stood motionless in the middle of the crumbling street. She appeared stunned to the point of inaction.

Rooftop establishments are now on the ground. The high-rise buildings where they used to be were smashed flat and in pieces. The four-lane wide road was split in half and turned as if a new passage of a river, but there were no signs of running water; instead, a bright, fiery red boiling liquid slowly approached everyone's eyes. Even though the volcanoes were miles away, the lava reached the city.

People were frantic, grasping at anything to avoid falling into the city's boiling-hot lava river. Some survive, while others perish; those who die are instantly reduced to ashes, leaving no trace of their existence.

Screams were heard everywhere, even from a distance. Weeps, calls for help, and car horns from crushed cars in the catastrophe were all over. Then, Kaia realized the whole city had fallen.

Meanwhile, Kaia spoke up. "The moon!" she exclaimed, gasping for breath and tears welling in her eyes.

Everyone else in the area, except her, became distracted by the lava; no one noticed the bloody moon.

Kaia passed out after witnessing an event that had only occurred seven times in history.
