Diana was taken aback. The dean's way of campaigning for her was too ostentatious, wasn't it? He had even put her video on the official homepage of the university!

"I have something to tell you!"

Hearing her excited voice, John couldn't help but smile. It seemed like the little girl had good news.

He spoke softly, "You go first."

"It's... " Diana touched her nose and exclaimed happily, "I got the highest score in my major assessment! I'm going to class A!"

After hearing her play the last time, he was confident that she could get into class A.

"So, do you have any requests for me?"

Diana smiled mysteriously. "I'll tell you when we meet!"

Her request would be better said in person.

John nodded, "Alright. Well, I heard that you're running for student representative in the election?"

"Yes, the deadline is in two days," Diana replied.

"I see. I heard that your vote count isn't looking too good, so I..." John trailed off.

"Oh, it's okay!" Diana's voice suddenly became excited. "I've been winning everyone over with my abilities, and my vote count is about to reach first place!"

But then Diana remembered something. "However, it might not go so smoothly. I just heard that the university decided to open up the voting mechanism to the whole society. With that, my first place might not be guaranteed anymore."

She let out a sigh. "Who is the idiotic leader who came up with this idea? Are they out of their mind? It's ridiculous..."

John's handsome face stiffened as he stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window in the office. He suddenly felt like he had been doused with cold water. Luckily, she interrupted him.

If she knew that he was the one with the idea...

"Well, maybe it's just a rumor. Don't worry too much."

"But from what I heard from those two professors, it seems like it's true. The notice should be coming out soon," Diana said with a sigh.

John hesitated for a moment before saying, "I actually have something to attend to. I'll talk to you later."

"Okay, sure." Diana was a little puzzled by how quickly he hung up. Did he have something urgent to attend to?

But she decided to focus on her vote count for now.

Meanwhile, John hurriedly walked to his desk and dialed a number. The notice hadn't been sent out yet, right? He had to stop it as soon as possible.

On the other side, Maddie sitting in the class A was watching a video on her phone. Her face turned from green to white, and she lost all color.

Her hand holding the phone was shaking.
