Fight Back!

3rd Person POV

The air was quiet, the wind was silent, the sky was abnormal as it changed and shifted multiple colors across, the land below was dark.

The winged girl and the young man stared at each other with killing intent in their eyes. Yuma, currently wielding a spear of light gripped on tighter, waiting patiently for the opportune moment to strike.

(Y/N) simply watched her as he held onto his white sword.

"How?" She asked.

(Y/N) simply raised an eyebrow in confusion. "To what are you referring...love?" He asked in a taunting tone, a cocky smirk plastered across his face.

Yuma grew irritated at this new demeanor, giving an angered growl. "That!" She shouted as she pointed to his weapon. "How are you able to manifest something like that?! I didn't detect any magic potential from you the whole time!" She demanded an explanation.

"I honestly think a better question should be why?" He said in a dull tone as he gave Yuma a bored stare.

"What?"

"But I'll answer your question I guess. I've trained so that I can suppress, or even straight-up hide my magic energy. Really nifty for sneaking around." He said as he twirled his sword from its handle.

"But if you're wondering how long I've been able to use Oath Maker, well...for about a couple years now." He suddenly gripped the handle tightly and placed his free hand on his hip.

"Whatever, you still won't be able to beat me human trash!" She used her black wings to fly to the sky, and hovered in midair as she prepared to attack the young man.

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that. With age comes experience Yuma. And despite how I look-" he got into his sword fighting stance. "I've got LOTS of experience."

Yuma snaps at (Y/N) as she charges at him, full speed. "WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT!!!"

As soon as she was close enough to (Y/N)'s face, he bent back and flipped backward, kicking Yuma upwards from the jaw. When he landed back onto the ground, he repositioned himself and gripped his Oath Maker with both hands on the handle. When he was prepared, Yuma was gone. He surveyed the area around him, and instinctively knew that she was behind and above him. She threw her spear once more and (Y/N) blocked it like before. Sending it far away from him.

The two charged at each other and their weapons connected, making a loud clang, as well as a small boom of air to emits from the two. They continued to hack and slash at each other at extreme speeds, all the while staring at each other in the eyes. What (Y/N) saw was killing intent. And what Yuma saw was...nothing, nothing but her reflection in his eyes. With one last clash of their weapons, they stared at each other once more.

"Why?" She asked.

(Y/N) simply raised an eyebrow once again. "You really need to learn how to be more specific with your questions." He gave a cocky smirk.

"Why are you this strong and skilled? You're just a human!" She yelled in confusion and anger.

The two broke away from each other, and jumped back a few feet.

"Why thank you." He bowed like an actor on stage. "Next you're gonna say, 'Okay fine, better question. Why are you even fighting back? Humans are weak, frail and cowardly creatures.'." He said, poorly mimicking Raynares' voice.

"Okay fine, better question. Why are you even fighting back? Humans are weak, frail and cowardly creatures." She asked. She suddenly looked shocked at what he had said before was indeed what she had just said. "W-What the?! How did you-?!" The raven-winged spear wielder sputtered

"Please Yuma, you're so cliché it hurts. I've heard it so many times before. Hell, I sometimes keep track about each line everyone I fight says when they find out I can fend for myself rather well." (Y/N) said as he placed his hand under his chin in pondering. "I think the line you said is number...67." His comment caused Yuma to sneer. "But to answer your question, I've been living quite an...eventful life. And you don't go through my kinda life without learning a couple things, especially about survival. And because of that, I've learned when someone's playing me. And you Yuma, are far from a professional actress." He scoffed.

"What?!"

"My dear, just like you, I was playing you from the very start. Do you think a few sweet words are enough to make me cry? If your heart's not in your words, then I can easily spot a fraud."

"Why you little-!" Yuma readied to attack once more, but her expression went from angered to calm in a mere instant. Her spear of light disappeared as she began to slowly walk backwards to the fountain. She then sat down on the fountain and crossed her legs and looked at (Y/N) seductively. "I'll admit I'm impressed. But alas, you still aren't skilled enough to sense the presence of all-powerful beings." She spoke with a devilish smile and intimidating tone.

(Y/N)'s POV

"The fuck you talking abo-" As I spoke those words, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. 'The moment I look down, the more the pain will inflict on my body after the realization. But I can't help it, what the hell happened to me?' I thought in fear. I slowly but surely, I saw what had impaled my stomach. A large yellow spear.

"That'll get rid of you for good." The deep voice said.

"S...Someone else?" I asked myself.

And with one quick yank, blood erupted from my body, causing me to fall to the ground. My body felt numb and my hole made my body colder.

"Thanks for the assist boss." She thanked, rising up from the fountain and walked over to the tall man who impaled me.

"Do your job properly next time Raynare. I won't be as forgiving next time." He snarled.

"Y-Yes milord." She bowed.

"Well, in any case, our job is done here, let's go." The man summoned five pairs of black wings and flew upwards into a portal that had formed in the sky.

The only thing I could faintly see was the sky above. Until Yuma or Raynare or whatever her name was looked down at me. She lightly grabbed my head and whispered in my ear. "I'm sorry, but you needed to die. This is goodbye." She finished her departing words and gently placed a kiss on my forehead, quickly disappearing through the portal.

Now, all that was left was silence. My view was nearly blurred as I looked to the sky. I could feel my body going numb and heart slowly stopping. My body was growing cold and wind cooled the burning, gaping hole in my stomach. I tried to use all my remaining strength to raise a hand to the constantly bleeding part of my body. 'It hurts. It really hurts.' I thought weakly.

I rose my hand in front of my face and saw it covered in blood. 'Red. Just like her hair...' As I thought those words, I began to see Rias. 'Her hair was the darkest shade of red I've ever seen...Just like the color running down my hand...Long, beautiful crimson hair...It's a damn shame...I wish we could've talked...at least once...she seemed...nice.' My life finally began to leave my body. "Damn. I'm really gonna die aren't I?" I managed to utter my last words as I began to close my eyes, failing to use my remaining strength to keep them open, and waited to pass away. "Chisato...I'm...Sorry..."

Suddenly, a bright red light erupted from the ground, illuminating the area in its blood-red color.

"Not yet." A voice said.

Suddenly, a figure appeared from the red light.

I slowly and weakly opened my eyes and saw a girl.

'A girl?' I thought before I had finally passed.

"Not today. (Y/N) (L/N)...I will not let you die like this."

The alarm was buzzing it's arrogant and obnoxious noise. The sun broke through the cracks of my bedroom curtains and shined upon my face. As I groaned in agony, I rose a tightened fist and slammed it on my alarm clock, smashing it entirely.

"...God Fucking Damn it. Why is my body so damn sore this morning?" I groan in irritation as I rose up from my warm bed into the cold atmosphere of my room. "Welp, I'm up now...might as well get ready." I said weakly as I rubbed my head.

I eventually reach the bathroom and turned on the lights and begin brushing my teeth. The moment I looked up into the mirror, I saw something strange. My hair..."W-What the...WHAT THE HELL?! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HAIR?!" My hair had changed from (H/C) to a shade of black that matched the night sky with snowy white tips.

"The fuck happened last night?!" I yelled in absolute disbelief. 'Wait last night?' I pondered. I suddenly remember Yuma and the entire day we spent together. I grew angered as I remembered the fact that she tried to kill me. I also remember the fact that even though I fought back and was winning, someone attacked me from behind and actually killed me. So why am I still alive and...well...not dead?

Numerous questions ran rampant around in my mind, but those would have to wait for later, right now I need to focus on one thing. "How am I gonna play this off?" I ask as I look at my new hair color through the mirror. "Can't wear a hat to school, and I'm not gonna shave it...if people get suspicious I'll just tell them I just wanted to try something new." The decision was made and I continued my routine.

By the time I was dressed and finished my breakfast, I was expecting Issei to show up, but no.

"That's weird, he usually always shows up around this time." I said, then again he's his own man. He can do whatever. "Ah well, I'm not in charge of 'em. He's old enough to do whatever." I left my house and headed to school, ready to face what the day had in store for me.

Kuoh Academy

Upon arriving, I received many looks and heard many whispers.

"Oh my God, is that (Y/N)?" A male student asked in disbelief.

"No shit! Really?" Another sounded shocked.

"No! Our (Y/N) is turning into a thug!" A female student whined.

"But it looks so good on him." Another girl complimented.

At this point I have had enough, so I hurried to my classroom, only to receive more shocked looks.

"Holy shit dude! What happened to your hair?!" Matsuda asked as he pointed a finger at me.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you it's rude to point?" I asked in an irritated tone slapping the pervert's hand away, God only knows where that's been.

"In any case, why is your hair like that?" Motohama asked as he fixed his glasses.

"Dunno, just wanted something different ya know?" I gave a happy smirk.

"Gotta say dude, it suits you rather well." Issei complements.

"Thanks." I reply.

I suddenly remembered an image of Yuma. Speaking of her, I haven't heard or seen anything that would lead to her. "Hey guys, I got something I wanna ask you guys. You mind if we talked after school?" I suddenly ask them, catching them off guard.

"Uh sure. I don't mind." Matsuda said.

"Yeah, no problem." Motohama agreed.

"Sure but what's up? Why can't you say it here?" Issei asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Because one; we don't have enough time to talk about it completely. And two; I don't want to start a feeding frenzy with the girls."

"Oh...that makes sense I guess." Issei stated.

"Uh...who?" Matsuda asked in a completely confused tone.

"Yuma. Yuma Amano. Come on guys I know your not the smartest of people but you at least gotta remember who she was." I pleaded for the group of perverts to remember.

'If I can find something, I might have something to go on and find her. And most of all...make her pay. Fuckin' bitch owes me ¥50,000. And her life.' My list goes on and on for reason on why I want to find her, but they all revolve around one motive...revenge.

"Sorry man, never heard of her."

"Are you sure you didn't just dream of her?" Motohama asked.

"Dream of her?" Now that I think about it, that would make sense. When I woke up this morning my stomach had been healed from when I was attacked from behind. But what causes that to be a problem is that a couple days have passed since I met her, and those felt like actual days passing by, not dreams.

I look over and see Issei in an expression I've never seen him before. He looked really pissed. "Hey Issei, you okay? You're makin' quite the face there bud." I ask casually, snapping him out of whatever trans he was in.

"Huh? O-Oh yeah. Don't mind me. Sorry, I gotta get going. Got club activities to do and stuff." He gives a wave and walks down the stairs as fast as he can.

"Wait, club? I didn't know he joined anything." I was completely blown away by the fact that Issei did anything school-related that wasn't peeping on girls.

"What club? Do you guys know?" I asked the two.

"The Occult Research Club apparently." Motohama clarified as he shifted his glasses.

"Really? He's in the ORC? Why?" I asked as I raise an eyebrow. And the moment I do, high pitched squeals erupt from the floor above. I look up and see a familiar figure.

"Oh my gosh, it's Rias!" A girl cried in delight.

"She's so amazing." The other replied.

Rias began to descend the stairway elegantly, I thought time had stopped entirely. By the time she reached where the three of us were, she gave me a quick slightly seductive smile, sending shivers down my spine, and bringing a blush to my face. She left the staircase completely and continued on her way.

"Savin' that image for the spank bank for later." Matsuda comments out loud, causing me to grow irritated and made me walk off.

"Where are you going?" Motohama asked.

"I'm gonna take a nap, my head hurts. Thanks for listening to me guys, appreciate it." I thanked, leaving the two young teens as I ascended the stairs.

Roof

"Some peace and quiet at last." I took a deep breath and took in all the fresh air. I look around and spot a nearby bench, walking towards it and laid down on my back, making me look up at the sky.

'The sky, so big, blue and vast. I'd like to, just once, fly through the sky like a bird. Feel the wind pass me by as I look down upon the world's majesty.' My mind begins to wander and my eyes begin to close, covering everything in deep, black darkness.

Time Skip

"ACHOO!" I instantly woke up after I feel a cold breeze go through my nose. "Oh man, how long have I been out?" I ask as I look to the sky and see that the sun had gone down. "Aw shit...Sun's already gone down. Better head home." With nothing left to do at school, a gathered my things from my locker on the first floor and began to head home.

As I continue walking the streets in the dark, my mind keeps going back to earlier today. Issei looked really pissed when I told the others about Yuma, but why?

"Mommy buy it!" I heard a voice call.

I look over and see that a little girl was tugging at their mother for something. The only problem is that they were increasingly far away.

"If you don't stop acting like a spoiled brat you're going to get in trouble." The mother said.

"Okay, I know my hearing is pretty good, but how can I hear them from so far away?" I try to leave the area, but when I turn around, I'm met with an increasingly dark street. Lights were non-existent here, but I could see things clearly.

"What the-?" I begin to think about some many questions. But I realize that all of this started with one cause. "Yuma." With that said, I bolted back to the park in which I was supposedly killed.

Park

When I arrived at the park, I immediately began looking for any clues. But to avoid any more incidents like last time, I summoned Oath Maker so I could defend myself.

I walked over to the spot in which I laid when I was stabbed. "This is the exact spot, I can still smell a hint of blood." I said as I kneel down and run my fingers softly against the pavement. "But...any presence of magic is completely gone. How?" The moment I ask that, my head begins to ring and my body begins to tremble.

"How fortunate for me." A deep voice called. I looked all over to find the source of the voice, and eleven I did, I saw a man in a tan-colored trench coat and tan fedora. His expression was sharp and with soul-piercing eyes.

"Who are you?" I questioned.

"To meet the one who gave Raynare such a hard time." He said.

"Raynare?" That name, that was Yuma's other name that was mentioned before.

"You show no signs of summoning your magic potential and your friends are nowhere to be seen. That being said, I can only assume that you are a stray. Is that correct?" He extends his arm and summons a blue spear of light, much different looking than Yuma's. He threw it at me and swiped it away with Oath Maker.

"You're gonna have to try a lot harder than that if you want to kill me, old man." I mocked with a cocky grin. I could see his irritated expression as he charged at me.

Our weapons clashed and sparks began to fly everywhere. At one point, our weapons struggled against each other as we tried to push each other back.

"You know you're supposed to throw spears, right?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"These weapons can have many purposes. For example..." He then reaches his arm lower and lunges towards my stomach. "Watch me stab you with one like a dagger!"

'Yeah fuck that.'

"Oblivion." I utter, as I wave my hand revealing a black smoke and violet sparks surround it. The dagger of light disappeared entirely.

The man simply looked confused and shocked at what he saw. My new weapon was a black sword. The hilt guard of this sword is comprised of two bat-like wings extending downward. The teeth are in the shape of the Kanji for "darkness" (闇). The Keychain's token is a black crown. A chain-like design runs up the length of the blade.

"W-What? How? Who?" The man stuttered many questions, but I simply stood there holding both of my swords in both hands.

"You seemed pretty seasoned. Think your Spears of Light can stand up to Oath Maker and Oblivion" I prompted, charging at the man and begin hacking and slashing at his defense. Until I felt it.

'No, not yet! My body can't give out just yet!' I yelled at my accursed body for not obeying my commands. My body soon fell to the floor, causing my weapons to disappear. 'Why does this have to happen at the worst times?!' I gripped my chest hard, as if I was ripping out my heart, as was the source of my problem. My heart...stopped beating.

"What's wrong you little shit?! Giving up when you just start gaining the advantage? How unfortunate for you..." he reveals his wings and charges at me once more, with all intention to end it all with one blow. "But the perfect opportunity for me! Say goodbye!" He lowers his spear and I brace for the worst...but nothing. Nothing but a loud roar. I slowly looked up and see a black and red stream of energy attack my attacker.

"Wha-?" I utter weakly. I turned around, only to see something completely faded and blurry as my vision began to fade.

"That's enough." The voice, sounding feminine, demanded sternly.

'That voice...'

"I'll teach you not to meddle where you don't belong!" He threw a spear at her but was kicked back into his hands by a small girl with white hair. He simply growls in irritation. "I'm done with you three." He cries as he lunges towards Rias and her friend.

"Damn!" I cried in rage. I try to get up, but fail as my body didn't respond. Luckily, lightning hits right in front of the man destroying part of the ground. I look next to the woman and see another girl with black hair in a ponytail with lightning crackling around her hand. 'W-What the-?' I couldn't believe what I was seeing, someone else wielding magic.

"Wait a sec...that hair...You're from the House of Gremory." The man asked in affirmation.

'Wait...HOUSE of Gremory?'

"My name is Rias Gremory and who are you? Besides a fallen angel." She demanded an answer.

"Heh. Well, well, who knew-" He leaned down and picked up his fedora, dusting it off before putting it back on. "This town is under control of the next head of the great Gremory family so this one is part of your household, I take it?"

'Gremory, it couldn't be could it?'

"Yes, and if you harm him then I will not receive any mercy from me." She raises her hand and summons another black and red light.

"I apologize for the misunderstanding. Though it is unwise to let your servants run loose like this. The next time he goes for a stroll he might end up meeting someone less cordial than me but for him." He then points at me, but at this point, I can only assume because my vision is blurred beyond any recognition. "I wouldn't worry though. He's quite a find if I do say so myself."

"Thanks for the friendly advice. But bear in mind, next time our paths cross there won't be any formalities and you'll regret you ever messed with the House of Gremory, my friend." She spoke in such authority, it calmed my being. That or it could just be the fact that no blood was circulating through my body.

"Hmph, bare in mind that it could be said to you as well." He flew up into the distorted sky with his crow-like wings, eventually disappearing. "My name is Dohnaseek. And for your sake, I hope we never see each other again." The sky returned to normal, and the air continued to fill the world in sheer cold. My body eventually ran out of strength and my mind went completely blank.

3rd Person POV

As (Y/N)'s body lay motionless and cold on the solid ground, Rias walked over to him and knelt down to examine his predicament.

"At this rate, he's going to die." The white-haired girl stated bluntly. Completely devoid of and concern or emotion.

"Using that much magic energy without proper training could easily put a huge damper on the body. But still, it was very impressive the fact that he was able to hold out for as long as he did. Especially using those swords of his. But Koneko's right Rias, he won't last much longer." Akeno said with some concern.

"Don't you worry girls. I'll make sure he doesn't die. I promise." Rias declares and summons a magic circle. With (Y/N) inside with her, she left the area entirely, leaving no trace she was there.

(Y/N)'s POV

Home

Once more, the alarm was buzzing its' obnoxious noise and I've about had it. So in rage, I grabbed it and threw it across the room, smashing it to pieces upon collision with the wall.

"That'll teach you ya piece of crap." I spoke with a groggy tone. But when I was out of my covers, I felt a sudden chill all across my body. My body shivered slightly, it caused me to rub my hands across my arms slowly. So curious, I looked down and saw myself completely naked.

"Um...okay, I'm pretty damn sure I didn't go to bed naked last night." I looked at my small calendar on my nightstand and saw what day it was. "Oh yeah, today's the day Issei's family is supposed to come check on me while Chisato's out of town." I shifted to the edge of my bed and scratch my head. "It's really nice of them to do that, but they really don't need to. I can take care of my se-" as I leaned back on my bed, I felt something hard, yet extremely plump and soft. I turn around and noticed a rather large lump in the spot next to mine on the bed.

"What the?" Naturally curious, I yanked the bed covers only to be shocked to my core. I see an incredibly curved body, with long flowing red hair, with a cute sleeping face included, my heart nearly skipped a beat. But my face was completely red. I fell to the floor on my rear, completely unaware of what to do next.

"W-What the hell?! I-Is that RIAS?!" I ask nearly yelling. This caused her eyes to twitch slightly. She slowly opened her eyes, revealing her sapphire blue eyes. She then looked at me, who's still completely shocked at what's happening.

"Good morning." She greeted casually as she rose up to stretch. Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem, except this girl was FUCKING NAKED!

"Um yeah...good morning." I reply before realizing the situation. "Wait, hold the damn phone! Good morning my ass! I have so many questions! Like, what's going on? Who are you? And most importantly, WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE?!" At this point, I was DEMANDING answers, not some long convoluted explanations.

"Well, to start-" She started, laying her head on her knee, leaving one leg to dangle off the edge of the bed. "My name is Rias Gremory...And I'm a devil." She said with the most honest expression I've seen and tone of voice I've ever heard.

"What?" I couldn't help but question her.

"That's right, and not only that, but I'm also your Master."

With that being said, I thought I was losing my mind. Rias Gremory was in my bed, naked, and she just said that she was a devil.

'My life just keeps getting weirder and weirder by the day.'
