Story 5 Rosario + Vampiric Dragon Chapter 10

Walking away from Kurumu with Mai and Moka. We didn't speak of what happened as the lunch bell rang and we just basically returned to class with Mai and Moka looking at me with indescribable looks.

'Oh dear... Doesn't Mai also have a super unreliable father if she is basically Tsukune? To say nothing of Moka's father who whether it be her inner form or outer form of Moka. They both got left in the fucking lerch with the true Moka being used as part of the seal for Dracula.

My face twitched at the realization that the two ladies beside me, might have their own daddy issues. But thankfully they weren't the type to lash out to gain attention. Regardless though as we got to the classroom, Mai shyly pinched my sleeve and whispered to me. "You got to drink my blood... But I didn't get any." 

I smiled with a bit of helplessness in my eyes which made Mai flush as she realized how needy she sounded but I just patted her soft black hair on her head as I said softly as we took our seats next to one another. "My dorm is on the ground level. If you wanna visit you can." I said frankly and her flush went atomic as Moka squawked at my invitation but in the end, I shrugged.

As this was still a school. There weren't that many places unless we wanted to go into the dangerous nearby forest, for any hanky panky action.

Our little interactions were cut off by our catgirl teacher Nekonome beginning her lesson and I raised an eyebrow at the current lesson plan of the day... "And now, I will be showing how monsters stay under the radar of mortal government agencies and the church's exorcists... By not paying taxes!" She finished with a snap with her pointer stick to the chalkboard that had the words 'IRS' encircled several times.

"Monster's regardless of power level are very much weak to certain things and the human governments are very aware of our existence and mostly turns a blind eye to us... But the moment we touch their bottom line in the taxes they collect, they will send bounty hunters suited specifically to hunt the monsters they are after." Nekonome explained gravely.

A male student snorted and as Nekonome looked at him with a blond eyebrow raised. He said cockily. "Then why don't the super strong monsters kill the human governments then? They are just cattle after all." He snarked and I noticed Mai's face twist at the boy's statement and I idly wondered if I should break his knees before I shook the thought away as Nekonome replied dryly.

"Yes... You could easily kill a human politician without issues Riku, but what happens when a bounty hunter comes at you with oak ash bullets? What happens when humans launch nukes into the areas in which our pocket dimensions are? I will tell you now... Nothing good, as for whatever reason radiation ruins Youki, whether it be within a monster or a spell, so our pocket dimensions should we go to war would just collapse in on ourselves." She said bluntly making me blink at that revelation.

But it kind of made sense. Humans were adaptable and although the original source material wanked the monster girls in the MC's harem. That didn't change the fact that a lot of times, a fifty-caliber sniper round with an explosive tip would make any monster's head explode like a watermelon with an explosive in it.

So with that reminder, Nekonome showed us how to stay out of the limelight and avoid paying taxes to get on the government's radar... As to pay taxes would be signing a life bound agreement to pay for the rest of your very... Very long life and the terrible human governments had no shame in milking a long-lived monster's income for literal centuries.

After that enlightening class of tax evasion, I noticed Kurumu in her own seat a couple rows down was refusing to make eye contact so I just left the classroom with Moka and Mai as we headed off to the dorms to relax with Moka letting out a moan with her stretch that had to raise an eyebrow.

"I hate sitting in these hard classroom chairs." She pouted and after a moment I nodded before I stilled for a second as I saw something in the corner of my eyes.

But as I looked towards the source of the disturbance. I only saw the swish of a short skirt before whoever was watching us down a different hallway left. "Anyway, thankfully we don't have any homework tonight so I am going to relax tonight. You girls got any plans?" I asked as I re-engaged the conversation.

Mai and Moka shared a look before Mai said with a small blush. "Well, I wanted to learn how vampires worked. So Moka is teaching about the herbs they use to take baths and interact with water without being electrocuted by the pure water." She explained making my lips twitch at the reminder that even if Moka was strong enough to kick a skyscraper down...

She could fucking be defeated by a toddler with a Gatorade squirt bottle filled with water. And she could literally be killed by being shot by a water gun filled with holy water and other stuff, despite her being a weapon of mass destruction with her physical strength.

But regardless of Vampires having the stupidest weakness. I was actually happy that Mai was more interested in learning what being a vampire was like for Moka. Though my thoughts were cutoff as Mai tilted her head to the side and spoke unsurely. "Uhh Jake? Don't you also need to use such herbs as a vampire? Or is the dragon side more important?" She asked unsurely.

"Vampires are cooler than dragons." Moka muttered with a pout that made me smile wryly at her cute expression but regardless I shook my head to Mai's question.

"Nope, although I don't get sustenance from human food and need either tomato juice or blood to survive. I won't die from drinking from the wrong water bottle." I said dryly making Mai snicker and Moka's eyes twitch. And I saw through her popped open collar her Rosario shaking slightly with the inner Moka obviously raging at what I said.
