Apollo

After an intense argument with Tessa, I felt even more exhausted. She had been persuading me to tell my son and my pack about us, but I barely had the courage to do so. My pack might question my judgement for the last years and my son might disown me.

If I had only harnessed the Katana wolf's ability, I would resign as Alpha and let my son reign as the Alpha of Tibolo pack. It might appease his anger once he discovers what I did in the past. I don't have to rely on anyone, I will be able to keep Tessa safe.

Tessa was my true mate, but my father Alpha Maximus had chosen Alana as my mate. He thought that A Katana wolf with protection ability as our Luna would ensure our packs safety. He had the notion that mating with a witch would only cause conflict with a coven. Though my father had a coven of witches as an ally, he doesn't fully trust them. He had an agreement with them because one of the witches from that coven was saved by my father.

"I have pulled you out Apollo from your training because I want you to know that I have chosen a mate for you." My father, Alpha Maximus declared. Shock written all over my face.

"What do you mean father? I am still searching for my mate?!", I answered. My wolf, Jax, was pacing in my head.

"Son, it's been years of searching you just need to give up. I have found a suitable mate for you. The Katana pack Alpha just informed me that he has sent one of his pack members to a university near our pack lands. He notified me so we wouldn't consider the Katana wolf as a threat. She studies medicine in the said university, you need to find her and convince her that you are her mate" I was bewildered by my father's plan.

"How can I do that? If she's not my mate my wolf and her wolf would certainly know. I complained.

"That is where the witches come in, they owe me one favor and I intend to use it to assure your well-being as well as the pack." Alpha Maximus answered

"My wolf won't let that; he is longing for his mate. You know that father." I insisted.

"I have given you the time you needed yet you failed. I am getting old and getting weaker. You will ascend as Alpha soon. This is not a request; this is an order!" he uttered.

"Yes Father" I told father while my wolf Jax whimpering.

"You will meet the witch tonight at the edge of the west border. You will spend time with her in the cabin, In the middle of the forest so she can perform a ritual for bond blinding and place a spell on you to so that the Katana Wolf will think and feel you are her mate. The Coven of witches will send a specialist on altercation of bond, so be cautious. Witches have agreed to help us just this once but do not put your guard down." He instructed me.

I just nodded. My father is so controlling, there is no point in arguing with him. He has been protective of me since my mother died from rogue attack.

That night me and Father cautiously went to the west border of our pack land. As we were waiting for her arrival. My wolf kept pacing nervously, then I picked up a scent, citrus fragrance that calmed my nerve. We saw a woman slowly approaching us her face slightly covered by the hood of her robe. Then she slowly slides her hood down nape revealing her face to us...

Mate.... Jax, my wolf exclaimed.

I was interrupted when I heard commotion outside. Then My Beta Javier mind linked me.

"The BMW we lost this morning, the one snatched by Katana wolf was seen on the edge of our boarder. Trackers saw footprints but they have never picked her scent"

"Everyone find the Katana Wolf!!!", I mind link the whole pack.

I was pacing inside my office .... She made a move; it has been 8 years, but she never dared to go near my Pack. I was trying to mind link Devon, but I cannot reach him. I mind link Luca.

"Luca, contact Devon. Tell him that the Katana wolf is making a move!" I instructed.

"Alpha, I just did. He is on his way to find A coven who can help us locate the Katana's mate.", he minds link me back.

"He didn't bother to inform me?" I Sighed... "very well. Keep me posted." I went outside my office then went down to the basement to find Tessa. She was still busy reading one of her grimoires. I hastily went inside the basement room and kept walking back and forth.

"What is the fuss all about? Stop pacing, you are making me nauseous!" told me with her blunt facial expression. I informed her of our situation... she suddenly stood up and pulled me to sit down on the couch.

"Are you really that nervous? You don't have to worry, I placed protective spells around the pack house. It will be difficult for her to break in. Just send your minions to search for her outside." rubbing her hand on my back to calm me down. I breathed out.

"She never made a move for 8 years, it's bothering me. We hunted her but she never counter attacked us, not once." I said to her.

"I'm prepared for her if she does attack. Come on, do not chicken out! I need my strong Alpha now." she answered.

"Sorry for worrying you." I said then kissed her on the lips. Then placed my head on the base of her neck, calming me down.

My pack warriors had been searching the pack lands the entire day but none of them have sighted the Katana wolf. Not even traces of her. She is taunting us, I thought. I went back to my office to grab another drink. It was already 11:00 o'clock in the evening when My Beta Javier and the My son's future Beta Luca were bickering about something outside my office. I approached the door to open it, but I heard them talking with each other.

"With all due respect Beta Javier, we should confirm the info 1st, Alpha might misunderstand Devon" I heard Luca said which made my brows wrinkle.

"Why would we wait? Is it clear that Devon deceived us?" Javier argued back. I opened the door and faced them.

"What are you talking about JAVIER?!", I interrupted them. They froze and then bow their heads both exclaimed "Alpha"

"Care to tell?" I asked then looked at them intently.

"We thought she was within the pack land but the warriors that are posted in Katana Pack territory have seen her entering her land." Javier reported. I sighed relief hearing his report.

"So what? What is this fuss all about? I asked them.

"There is no scent detected, we searched the pack lands the whole day but no traces of Katana wolf, then I got a call from our warriors posted in the Katana wolf land. Your son, Devon was spotted with the Katana wolf." Beta Javier commented.

"Alpha, he told me he was looking for a coven of witches to help search the Katana wolf's mate" Luca said.

Let us be logical Luca. Why is he spotted with the Katana Pack on her territory? He has not bothered to tell us! They are riding in his car!" Javier argued. My eyes filled with rage upon hearing Javier's words. I curled my hands to Fist.

"That insolent brat!!! He is the Katana's bitch mate!!!!!!"
