Another guild

I was now sitting with Olivia on a couch, waiting for the Count to come. We were just awkwardly staring at the windows on the opposite sides. Soon the Count came running in and sat on the couch opposite to us.

-Are you fine? Did anything happen to you?

-We are fine dad, could you just pay Ayden, I'll explain everything to you later.

-Yes, yes, of course. Sarah!

A maid came in with a tray, the tray had a bunch and it had gold coins. I quickly counted them and found 20.

-Isn't there too much?

-Because you saved Olivia and we hope that you keep your mouth shut, we paid some extra.

Well, I won't deny extra money, I took my quest and a sign from the count after that I bowed to them and walked outside. A maid was walking with me and after leaving the mansion I turned to her and asked.

-Where is the guild?

-Just walk straight ahead and you will find it.

I started to walk forward, the capital really was different from the city

I started walking forwards and quickly noticed the difference between Montka and the Capital. Capital's population was a lot bigger, so there were a lot mor stalls, shops and other merchants and craftsmen. It was also a lot louder.

The maid wasn't kidding when she said that "I will see it". The guild building was huge, it seemed to have at least five floors and on top of the sign is a dead dragon. The dragon wasn't big, but it was still a dragon.

I walked inside, I was still after all an A-rank adventurer. When I was inside a lot of stares were coming my way, people were wondering what I was doing here or was I just lost. I didn't mind them and just walked up to the counter.

-What would you want help with boy.

The receptionist was a tall red-haired woman with a big chest. She was wearing something that made her look like a pirate without a hat.

I handed her my quest. She took it and looked a little bit surprised.

-Damn, could I see your badge

Now other adventurers were also interested, they only thought that I was lost or posting a quest, but it turned out that I am an adventurer. Now they were estimating my skill level. I took out my badge and put it on the table.

The woman whistled and tried to pinch my cheek, I of course slapped her hand away, only my mom is allowed to touch my cheek, Olivia could touch my hair because she is a child, but mom is the only adult that can touch me.

She looked a little bit hurt about my rejection but then just said.

-Alright alright, quest is completed you can leave.

-Thank you.

I turned around and started to walk away, I still had to find an inn and maybe a library or something similar. That however had to wait a bit because someone was blocking my way. I feel like this happened before already.

-How could a child like you be A-rank, you must have cheated.

-Yeah, give us your money and we won't tell Charlotte.

-She could easily beat you and ban you from here.

There were three people, one was in front of me and the other two were behind me. I raised my eyebrow and asked them a simple question.

-Are you threatening me now?

-No, of course not. (Said the guy in front of me)

-So what is this then? (I wanted them to just do something)

-Does it matter? (A voice came behind me)

-Well yes, with that I can kill you all. (I provoked them)

-You little!!! (It was another voice behind me)

And it was just what I had been waiting for, I quickly charged my hand with lightning and then punched him straight on his chest. He flew against the wall and dropped on some other party's table.

-You will pay for that!!

It was the other guy behind me, this time I charged my foot and spin kicked him straight on his forehead and just like his friend he flew against a wall but didn't drop, the hole was big enough for him to stay in it.

The last guy didn't do anything and because of that I walked past him outside. Let's start looking for an inn.

CHARLOTTE POV:

A cute kid came in today, but he was a A-rank adventurer and submitted a B-rank quest. I'm a little mad that he slapped my hand away from pinching those adorable cheeks but doesn't matter now. I will get my chance someday.

Other surprising thing was that, when those three idiots tried to rob his money. The kid provoked them enough to gain a reason for self-defense and beat the crap out of them. He could still stop before beating the third one, because he had no reason to do so.

What an interesting kid.

COUNT POV:

-So that's what happened.

-Yeah, he was kind of cool.

-That's great to hear but when are you going back. Princess? It feels wrong to call you my daughter and for you to call me dad.

-I'm leaving tomorrow, maybe I'll meet big brother there also.

The princess wanted to live outside the capital for a month, so now it was her time to return. We didn't want to place the princess in danger so the king asked me to pose as her father. It mostly worked but still bandits got information somewhere and teleported our carriages away.

Luckily that Ayden kid got her away, if we didn't get her back, I would have been executed.

-I wonder if I can meet Ayden again.

The princess seemed to like the company with Ayden, I hope that the lonely princess can get more friends.
