Chapter 49

As Axena looked to prepare herself for the day, she remained on the bed with her eyes closed and her ears attentive as she tried to revisit her actions of the past day and the possible consequences that it may bring to her way. She started by imagining Bathi breaking the deal and not taking her to the pit as he had promised and there, she agreed that Bathi would immediately be in he kill list and there would be nothing that will stop her from taking his head.

As she thinks deeply on what killing Bathi would bring about, she realized that she might not be able to retain her position by Cinten's side if she was listed as a killer and would be brought to justice or she would end up a rogue, doing things she so wished in the way to digging her grave.

"Wrong idea. I pray he would do as he had said," Axena wished.
