Under the cover of darkness, three mages were nimbly moving along different streets and alleys in Porius City. It was clear that these people knew their ways around the city. In fact, the two knight mages who were moving behind Fagus didn’t even need him to lead the way. But since Jose told them to let this man be their guide, the two just went along with what he said.
“Young Master said that aside from leading us to the target, your other duty is to kill the adept mages, am I right?”
Jinis asked.
“That’s right, Sir. You can leave those kids to me. No need to bother yourselves with them, Lord Jinis, Lord Lano.”
Fagus quickly said, trying to please the other two. The man seemed to be quite a bootlicker. When he saw a chance, he didn’t hesitate to grovel at the others’ feet to try and get on their good sides. It was almost like he was born with this talent.
“Just keep watch and make sure no one gets away. I’ll handle all of them.”
