Traitor

{Sorry for the delay, I was sick and couldn't do anything. Here is the chapter, enjoy.}

Chapter 10: Traitor

Ainz Ooal Gown wasn't only shocked, he was horrified. How did Demiurge learn about his real name? This couldn't be happening. The people couldn't know that he was from another world, or it might lead to chaos. What if they discovered that it was all a show, that he wasn't as brave as it seemed, well, if it wasn't for that emotion suppressing system that is.

Not only that, Ainz was also quite surprised about Demiurge's new appearance. His tail had changed into a more succubus-like one, it was now red colored as well. He had gained a crown which was decorated with the 12 birthstones, he also had new sharp claws, so sharp that even just touching them would cut the touching object in half. Adding his new red wings to the mix and the complete picture of the newly awakened Devil's appearance is completed.

"Demiurge…" started the undead, "Tell me, what is going on here, are you the one who did this?"

"Yes, it is all the result of my actions. It is I who is currently attacking the village and taking its inhabitants' hostage." responded the demon.

"I see, now, if you may Demiurge, tell me, why are you doing this?" asked Ainz.

"This is quite the easy question you got Satoru. The reason is simple; I despise human beings. These noisy infants they have, and they are multiplying like the plague. They didn't have enough of killing and suppressing other races that they even started to do such within their own species and families. Demons, vampires, witches, sorcerers, elves, dragons, werewolves, dwarves, undead, beast-man and more. As long as you are not human, you are discriminated against and disliked. As soon as you are different you are treated like an outcast, beaten, stabbed, tortured, abandoned, used. So tell me, why shouldn't they be terminated like the other species that they martyrized and destroyed." declared Demiurge

"I understand what you are saying, Demiurge. However, humans can also do good. I agree, there are some that are doing wrong things, but there is such a being in every race–" tried to explain the undead before being cut off by Demiurge.

"If humans can do good, explain to me; your old world, why did it look like you remember it?" interfered the demon.

With that said, Ainz didn't know what to reply. His old world was a mess, that's why he was playing YGGDRASIL, to flee his other life. Sure, when he thought about fleeing his other life he wasn't including being brought in his favorite game, but it was better than staying there. Waking up in the morning just to work and gain a few yen. Only enough money to buy a pre-made almost moldy sandwich in a sketchy store each day. Children forced to work on sketchy things that no one actually knows about. Some were rich, the ones that own the big enterprises, money made by exploiting the others. There was nowhere to run except the games. This really was a messed up world he was living in.

"Now, Ainz Ooal Gown, tell them who you are, or I will kill the villagers." informed the Devil.

"My name is Momon." told the undead.

Demiurge looked at him with a 'are you serious' expression; he wasn't convinced, not at all. Thus, he ordered one of his imps to take one of the villagers and sliced his throat. The imp took the closest one and brought it before Demiurge who gave a nod before it sliced the innocent's throat.

"I am Ainz Ooal Gown, ruler of Naza–" Ainz didn't have time to finish before Demiurge sliced someone else's throat.

"Lies, lies, lies. When are you going to tell the truth, I wonder… If you keep lying; they all are going to die." said Demiurge.

"I rule the Sorcerer Kingdom." informed Ainz.

"I'm still not convinced." Demiurge said and headed toward another villager and sliced his throat. He then headed toward Lizzie and asked again, "Answer the question, Ainz, or she dies."

Touch Me is pissed, seeing so many innocent dies like this while he was doing nothing. He needed to act. Thus, he rushed toward the Devil trying to stab him. However, Demiurge saw it coming and used <Restrain> on the insect. <Restrain> is a spell that allows the user to restrain anything in the range. The spell's strength is the same as its user's, since Demiurge was a god classed being, he could restrain anything he wishes. Demiurge decided that Touch Me was a nuisance and eased him from existence by touching his shoulder making him convulse and lay dead.

Watching this, Ainz and HeroHero were shocked, sad and terrified. First, they were shocked that it was this easy for Demiurge to kill Touch Me, one of the strongest in the guild. Second, sad that Touch Me just died, or at least it seemed like he died, they weren't sure. Third, they are scared to end up like this. They don't want to die, not now at least. Meanwhile, the dragon wasn't moving at all. He wasn't scared because this was just a body, he could change it, even if it would be a shame to lose such a thing. However, he was still surprised that Touch Me died easily, he knew that he was a strong warrior and yet was killed like an insect. He underestimated the Devil.

"I am from a faraway kingdom." informed the undead.

However, this wasn't doing it for Demiurge. He wanted the truth, he wanted Ainz to tell these puny humans that he was just a lame human guy being enslaved by other humans while he was throwing his life in games. Since what Ainz said is not satisfying, Lizzie's head was rolling on the ground. Nifrea wasn't happy about that, so he decided to insult Demiurge which pissed him off; he was about to cut his head as well, but Jugem, the Goblins' captain, interfered and asked that he was to be killed instead. The Devil accepted the offer and killed the goblin with <HellFire> which was a spell that summoned the flame from hell.

HeroHero couldn't stand this any longer and decided to try to hit the Devil like Touch Me did. However, as always, Demiurge was a step ahead and used <Hell Gate> which opened a gate towards hell to imprison anyone heading inside. The spell was made below HeroHero thus making him fall into it. Before the slime could fall, Ainz tried to use his time spell, but Demiurge had control over space and time and thus disabled Ainz's time spell. HeroHero fell into the gate and ended up in Hell. The only way out is if someone reopen the gate and get the prisoner out. However, it only answers the Devil's call and in any case if you don't have a strong will you end up broken really fast in there.

Demiurge asked one of his imps to bring him Nemu and used her as a hostage. He informed the undead that if he doesn't respond he will end the little girl's life. Ainz complied and answered the demon's question–

"I am from a planet named Earth, where I was a gamer, someone who plays video games." informed Ainz.

Demiurge was satisfied with that and informed Ainz that he now has 24 hours to bring the staff of Ainz Ooal Gown and give up Nazarick and its guardians as well as the kingdom to him. If Ainz doesn't comply, he will kill all the villagers. With this information, Ainz nodded and left toward Nazarick.
