"If you have any shred of wisdom left in that stubborn little head of yours, you'll do well to listen to me. Do not let the Mutant Fight start when you're still in Desper."
Those ominous words from Blake's father cut deep, making the boy fear that he or whoever he worked for was plotting the destruction of Desper and her people. However, despite these warnings, Blake couldn't help but not trust his father. Why would he? After all, this man was the reason he was in this wounded state. But still, if his father took the time to come visit his son and warn him, could it be that whatever he was warning him from was life-threatening and could get him killed?
"Seems your visitor has left, felon." A nurse and police officer walked into the room with a fresh pair of inmate clothes for the young man. "Do you feel well, son?"
