The other mutants and Kina returned to the place where they encountered the Advanced Tier beast. Upon arrival, they found Dezhong and Caesar casually discussing while standing on top of a large dead beast with blood flowing from its severed neck. In his hand, Caesar held the beast's glowing crystal as if it were an ordinary artifact. Its shiny glow and partially smooth texture drew the others to it, though they dared not to inch closer to the beast.

"It's safe to come out, everyone," Dezhong spoke, and they approached. Kina, on the other hand, remained awfully quiet with her eyes fixated on Dezhong. A cold, icy feeling grew in her heart as she felt every muscle in her body telling her to run from the boy. She didn't know why, but it wasn't something that could easily be ignored.
