Chapter 3: Paralllel World?!

"Hmm....."

Lucius grunts as he slowly opens his eyes.

He sits up and notices that he was sleeping on his bed.

'Didn't I fall asleep on the table?' He thought

All of the sudden, he felt a headache as he held his head for support.

"Argh!" Lucius couldn't hold his voice and exclaimed due to the strong pain caused by the headache.

Only after 10 seconds then the pain diminish as Lucius' whole body was soaking wet.

Even though his mind was still fuzzy, Lucius still stand up from the bed and head straight to the sink.

Standing in front of the sink, Lucius reaches for the faucet but it doesn't have a lever for it to open.

'What the..'

He tried numerous times opening the faucet and only when his hands coincidently swipe at the bottom of the spout only the water comes out.

This greatly confused Lucius, his faucet is after not a motion detector one but just a generic you could buy at any hardware.

But because his head was fuzzy, Lucius didn't bother thinking about it any longer and washed his face.

He unconsciously focuses on the water coming out of the faucet and notices the dripping of the water going slower and slower.

Lucius didn't mind and blamed it on the hangover he was feeling, which was weird cause he didn't drink any type of alcohol!

Nonetheless, he scoops water from the faucet to his hand and splashes it on his face.

Only after 5 splashes does Lucius manage to get back on his sense and the fuzziness of his head finally subside.

'What a minute....'

Lucius move his eyes to the faucet and noticed that it was completely different from the one in his apartment!

He then looks around and notice that many of the furniture was completely different from the one in his apartment.

The first thought that entered his mind is that this room isn't his apartment!

He then tried searching for his phone but couldn't find it anywhere!

He begins to panic as he storms out of the room and was amazed at what he saw.

As soon as Lucius exited the apartment, he was greeted by some futuristic machinery and some Sci-fi stuff.

Because the apartment Lucius was currently at has a hallway on it and the hallway there is a large window which was where Lucius was currently looking at.

"What the f*ck..."

In front of Lucius, a long futuristic rail was hanging in the air, that's right hanging in the air!

The rail was inside of an unknown transparent material whose purpose was to defend the rail and the train.

And not far away a train with futuristic design passes by in front of him!

The train wasn't loud, heck, it didn't even make any sort of noise!

Its speed was also amazing appearing and disappearing in Lucius' sight in just a minute!

And the train was about 700 meters or more in length!

And below the apartment, he saw cars without wheels and was floating in the ground!

An advanced Traffic light would block the way to ensure no one would disobey the law!

On the sidewalk, some people were walking with blue holograms in front of them!

Lucius was extremely shocked as his mouth was agape, his common sense was completely broken by the strange and advanced technology he was seeing.

Lucius just got even dizzier as he decided to go outside first.

The construction of the apartment he was currently was is just the same as the apartment he was staying which greatly shocked him.

And also because of that Lucius managed to find the elevator.

He quickly entered inside but was confused seeing that there is no button to click which floor he was going.

As soon as the door closes an A.I voice spoke.

{Floor please}

"1st floor." Even though Lucius was shocked, he controlled himself and quickly said the floor he was heading.

Silent shrouded the elevator as Lucius was confused not feeling the elevator moving even a bit.

Oh, how wrong he was.

{Ding! 1st floor arrive!}

Lucius heard the A.I voice speak as the door opens and he had arrived on the 1st floor.

'I didn't even feel we move!' Lucius could only think so that he won't look like crazy in the eyes of the other people.

Unknown to him, he was already crazy in the eyes of the people present.

Lucius continue on his way while looking around like an idiot as the people nearby started to move away from him like he possesses a very deadly contagious disease.

But this goes in Lucius' favor as no one bothered him as he continue looking around.

He doesn't mind the gaze people were giving him but someone did.

Lucius felt someone grabbing his collar and dragging him back to the elevator.

"Hey! What are you doing!" He tried to fight back but stopped and let himself get dragged after seeing who was dragging him.

"Fatty!" Lucius recognized the person who dragged him.

Yes, it was Fatty who he coldly rejected yesterday due to his unpleasant mood.

Terry Manabat, also called Fatty, is Lucius' best friend ever since elementary days.

Standing at 6'8, Fatty isn't that fat but Lucius gave him that nickname when he was 11 because of his huge body.

His looks are above average plus his rich family, Fatty isn't some virgin dude.

"Are you sick dude?" Fatty asked while putting his palm on Lucius' forehead.

"What? Of course not!" Lucius denied as he removes Fatty's hand from his forehead.

"Then what is this?!"

Fatty swiped his hand and a hologram appeared in front of him.

He clicks a few more buttons before the hologram blew in front of Lucius.

At first, Lucius was amazed at the hologram since it was not just blue but was colorful but after seeing the content inside of the hologram, Lucius felt embarrassed.

The hologram was showing a video of Lucius looking around and unconsciously exclaiming while looking at the advanced technology on the 1st floor.

The video spread like a wildfire and soon a bunch of memes emerge using Lucius' expression.

Even some girls fall in love with Lucius' face as they vowed to find him.

Of course, Lucius and Fatty don't know this as the former was embarrassed seeing himself in the video while fatty facepalm himself.

Soon the elevator arrived at the 6th floor where Lucius' apartment no matter how he said that that was not his apartment.

"I'm telling you this is not my apartment" Lucius said as the design of the room was completely different from his.

"Oh yeah? then what's this?" Fatty then took a key from Lucius' pants which even he didn't know was there and opened the door of the apartment.

"Not your apartment huh?" Fatty mockingly said while doing the famous tiktoker khamby lame pose and expression.

"What? How?" Lucius confusingly said as the two entered the apartment.

The two then sit down on a couch as Fatty opened his phone which was the hologram from earlier.

Once again he did some weird swipe with his hand and a hologram appeared.

Fatty was shocked as his jaw dropped seeing a bunch of memes of Lucius in Feetbook!

"Hey, open your Feetbook, quick!" Fatty didn't straightly say right away and let Lucius see it for himself.

"How?!" Lucius confusingly asked

"What do you mean how?" Fatty also confusingly asked.

"I don't know how you did that, like, pshu pshu pshu!" Lucius said as he copied what Fatty did without any effort but it worked!

A hologram appeared in front of Lucius.

The hologram was just a floating screen but has a sensory detector so if you click some buttons it'll work.

"Whoa!" Lucius exclaimed as he play the hologram for a while.

The hologram was similar to the phone with apps in it, Lucius didn't forget what Fatty said and quickly opened his Feetbook.

As soon as his Feetbook was opened, Lucius could instantly see his face in the very first post!

"Eh..." Lucius scratches his head while scrolling and continues seeing his face with different captions.

"Hays...well at least you're now famous." Fatty sighed and said.

The two looked at each other after Fatty spoke and laughed as they no longer bothered by what people online did.

"I'll go get some coffee." Fatty patted Lucius' shoulder and stated, didn't even bother to ask for Lucius' permission.

Lucius on the other hand just nodded as he didn't mind Fatty's behavior since they have known each other for a long now.

Instead, he opened the Webnovel app which was surprisingly installed in his hologram.

Most of the story remains the same but Lucius soon knows that's not the case.

When he goes to the 'Write' page, His only novel was not present!

Lucius panicked as he tried searching in another searching platform but nothing came out.

His novel, "The return of the loser" was gone!

Fatty soon came back with two glasses of coffee in his hand.

As soon as he places the coffee at the table, Lucius asked him an odd question.

"Fatty, why can't I search my novel?!" Lucius nervously asked.

"Your novel? what are you talking about man, you never wrote one."

As soon as Fatty said those words, Lucius was petrified which greatly worried his friend.

"Are you okay dude? Hey, HEY!" Fatty asked in concern but seeing that Lucius was not reacting, he had no choice but to shake him.

The reason why Lucius was in a daze is that after focusing on Fatty to see if he was lying, Time seems to slow down in his eyes.

"Huh?...Ah!" Lucius broke out in a daze as a memory entered his mind.

"The Survey!!"
