Demons are malevolent spiritual entities that are created from human souls that have endured extensive torture in Hell by other demons. In this process, they become corrupted, extremely evil, and also very powerful. Most of them forget that they were ever humans and those who remember claim to have become something better, a part of a better race. They require a vessel to walk the Earth, though they are able to roam in their smoke form. Some rogue demons tend to get into contracts with witches and wizards or, as we know them summoners which might reveal their true forms if they are strong enough.

Demons could be exorcised though any form of divine power, no matter which god it comes from. To kill a demon however, you would need to weaken it by almost killing the owner of the body and then stab or shoot it with a special kind of steel made by Kurds. They are a serious headache... they always try to escape from their vessels before you can get close to them.

Hunters are the only people who had the highest kill count on demons because they are trained to fight against them from their childhood. They get implanted a sigil in their soul that wards of demons. The other factions still doesn't know how that works but they soon will.

"Wally, play it!" as I said those words, all the speakers in the room turned on by themselves and started chanting some words in Latin.

"In nomine Artemidis, exorcizamus te-"

"Artemis? Seriously? Out of all the gods you could have picked, you choose that crazy lady? Are you insane? I was gone for ten damn minutes! What the fuck Allen! You signed a contract with Artemis the god of hunters?!" Ryuk shouted at me.

'I didn't sign a contract with her, she just kinda gives away her divine power to every hunter who knows these lines. Tommy taught me how to use it. Why did you get angry all of a sudden? It isn't really a big deal,' I tried to calm him down while keeping the act up that I was truly injured.

"Let's just say I had a bad history with her and now she wants me dead," Ryuk exclaimed.

'Did you two... You know...' I asked.

"No! No no no absolutely not! Put those dirty thoughts away and concentrate on the task on hand! It's better for a mortal like you to not meddle in the affairs of a fourth dimensional being," Ryuk said calmly acting like he wasn't the one who started all this.

Arghhh... Ahhhh...

The demon fell on his knees covering his ears with both of his hands to relieve himself from the pain he was in but he realised that the sound of the chanting was affecting his soul forcing it out of the kid's body.

"Followers of Artemis?" The demon had a surprised look on his face but that didn't last too long as it slowly transformed into a smile. "Looks like the news was true... You lot teamed up with a bunch of apes... Look at you... You lot have become so much greater than those monkeys and yet you rely on them to defeat us? Have you forgotten how many lives they have taken from you? (Grunts) They killed millions and millions of you and yet you go after us? Think this though... Who's the real villain here? Us or them?"

The demon's words had a strong impact on everyone in the room including Edward but this was just a tip of a demon's trickery. It was trying to split apart the group not knowing that there weren't any hunters in the room. Since we didn't give him any time to adapt after taking control of the kid's body, he didn't have access to his memories yet.

The demon waited for the fight to break out but to his surprise everyone was looking at him as if he was the idiot still not understanding the situation he was in as the chant started to come to an end.

"Fine call it a last resort but I am taking one of you with me!" with a burst of light the demon shot the same light beams that he shot at me at every angle possible before he was exorcised.

Now you would think, Ray is just going to stand by and watch- well not exactly. Light elementals are as fast as light when they grow up but at the age of fifteen their speed would be as fast as a regular lightning bolt. Which I can save everyone by moving them slightly because I am way faster than lighting with my speed force enhanced suit.

Crackle

"I should have killed you when I had the chance," the demon said looking at my face.

"Tough luck buddy..." I replied smiling under the suit.

As the chanting was finished multiple places around the room blew up simultaneously as all the candidates tried to protect themselves but were surprised when nothing hit them.

The clouds of smoke faded the candidates saw the one who saved the crowd standing in front of kid who the demon possessed in a suit of armour.

The candidates started to cheer and cry at the same time as they passed the most horrific phase of their childhood with a shed of fear. While I... well fell... on the ground and I wasn't acting this time, I was really tired because of the energy I consume in less than a second.

Why did I save the crowd? I didn't need to save all of them... Just a few would have done the job... It felt as if my body moved on its own. Well atleast I got what I needed, the trust of the whole class.

"Agent Dan reporting, sir! Ray Allen has made a contract with Goddess Artemis, he tried to sacrifice himself to save everyone present in the room... Roger that, sir! I will keep an eye on him for now."

'Sigh... Kindness runs deep within you Allen... If only you weren't a metahuman... You would make an excellent hunter.'
