Chapter-11

As the morning arrived, Li Wei looked at the clear sky which had been booming since yesterday night. He smiled and had his dinner happily and then a ding was heard,

[Quest: Becoming a farmer has been completed]

Li Wei almost chocked on his food as he saw the information. He already knew that with the speed of the growth, the veggies would come very soon as he checked on it daily but it still caught him off guard.

He quickly ate his food and went out to check on the veggies which were ready. He then plucked each of them and felt that they were bigger and even though normal carrots aren't supposed to smell this good. He cleaned the carrot and took a bite of it and instantly felt like he was in heaven.

The taste of it was so good that he questioned whether the carrots he had ate before were fake.

'Yes, the rewards of the quest'

He quickly looked at the quest rewards which he overlooked after seeing the quest been completed in the system log.

[Rewards:

Shop Function opened SP x 1000 Tier 1 fertilizer x 20 Tier 1 pickaxe blueprint]

'A shop!'

[The shop will show available things that can be bought with SP]

[SP can be gained both from completing quests and selling crops to the shop]

[I will be your assistant when searching for items in the shop, host]

'Show me some items from the shop'

[Here are some items that might be of use to you, host]

[Tier 1 fertilizer Recipe]

[Cost: 2500 SP]

[Tier 1 Fertilizer]

[Cost: 200 SP each]

[Basic Healing Pills Recipe]

[Cost: 1500 SP]

[Alchemy Skill]

[Cost: 3500SP]

Along with those items there were blueprints of tier 1 tools, pill recipes and pills but his main focus was on the fertilizer recipe. If he was able to get the recipe, he would be able to make more of it since buying made ones were a bit expensive in the long run and since he still had a lot of them, he should have enough to buy the fertilizer recipe.

The only thing should be that he needed to see how much each vegetable give when sold. He looked at the carrot which he had in hand which had been half eaten and thought that it was somewhat of a waste that he couldn't sell it. He took out another carrot and sold it with just a mental command.

He gained 25 SP from that sale. He then sold the rest of the veggies which included a total of 19 carrots and 20 potatoes, gaining a net of 950 SP which made him have a total of 1950 SP. He was still 550 SP away from the recipe which he wanted.

He had also gained information about the rules which were that only the veggies which he had planted could be turned into SP.

He still had a total of 27 Tier 1 fertilizer, which were kept in his inventory along with the other stuff.

"Right, what was I out here for again aside from this"

"Yes, to plow the main farm area" Li Wei started working on it. The ground, still soft from the rain, was easier to till. He used the plow to turn over the soil, breaking up the compacted earth and mixing in any remaining organic matter. The process was labor-intensive, but with each row he completed, the field began to look more and more ready for planting and because of the clear weather, even though it took him the whole day, he was able to finish before night fall.

"Tomorrow, I'll start on the fences,"

__ __ __

The next morning, with a clear sky and a fresh outlook on his tasks, Li Wei set out to fix the fences around the main farm area.

Li Wei first walked along the perimeter of the main farm, inspecting the condition of the fences. He took note of broken posts, sagging wires, and any gaps where animals could get through. He made a mental note of the materials he would need, new wooden posts, wire, nails, a hammer, pliers, and a measuring tape.

He went to the shed to gather the necessary tools and materials. Fortunately, his uncle had left behind a stockpile of wooden posts and rolls of wire. His uncle was one who would to make things on his own and since these items were not easy to be gained around these areas, his uncle should have gotten many things gathered. Li Wei didn't know what he would do without his uncle leaving these.

He also fetched a hammer, nails, and pliers. For any larger gaps, he decided to use additional wooden planks to reinforce the structure.

Starting with the most damaged sections, Li Wei removed broken posts by digging around their bases to loosen the soil. He then pulled them out and set them aside. For damaged wire, he used pliers to cut and remove the old, rusted sections. Li Wei dug new holes where the old posts had been removed. He ensured that each hole was deep enough to provide a stable foundation. He then placed the new posts in the holes, filling the gaps with soil and compacting it firmly to hold the posts in place. Using the new wire, Li Wei reattached the fencing to the posts. He stretched the wire tightly between posts, using pliers to twist and secure it firmly. "And there we go"

Li Wei went back a few steps to see the fixed fences and knew that he had accomplished what he had wanted to do, answered with the ring of the quest which arrived soon after.

[Quest: Restore the Main Farm Area has been completed]

[Rewards:

300 SP Bone Purity Elixir 20 x Fertilizer]

"Hmm hopefully tomorrow would also have clear weather as said by the weather channel"

He still needed to plant the seeds in the ploughed land, and the next morning, Li Wei started on it with the seeds he bought from the shop. He decided to plant a variety of vegetables to ensure a diverse and healthy crop. He bought a total of 100 seeds, which included 30 potatoes, 30 carrots, 20 tomatoes, and 20 lettuce, costing a total of 250 SP.
