The chaos is still visibly seen in the districts. The atmosphere is so tense in the streets that Alex could cut it with a knife. The public billboards all displaying the crash landing on the corporate building. Dozens of people and bystanders are watching the news. A chaos of this magnitude has not occurred in over a decade. The proportion of the damage done begins to get to Alex. He quickly heads over to the car. The boss has passed away last night or early in the morning. That was the information Alex had got. There was a question on everyone's mind. What will happen to the district? the future of it. Alex ignites the engine and zooms away to the police station. After what seems to be a very long drive, he enters his office and sits down. He looks over the window of his cubicle and there seated quietly is Atticus. Atticus looks over to Alex who immediately waves him in to his office. Atticus gets up from his chair and has a seat opposite to the chief. "So Atticus," Alex says. "I have a lot of my hands with the death of the District boss and what not," he emphasized. Atticus weaves a sigh of relief. Alex leans over and says. "That does not mean I let you off easily," said Alex. "I have a few questions for you," said Alex as he leans back. "First of all, what bothers me is the manner of the death of your friend and a police Chris" he stated. "That whole part of your story is shrouded in mystery," he said with his eyebrows lifting. "Sir, I have furnsihed all the details i have. There is nothing more that I can add" Atticus emphaised. Alex doesn't not reply at all. He just nods and turns his chair to the opposite direction. Atticus is seated firmly and finally decides to take a sip of the water that was presented to him earlier. "Son," said with the eyes of Alex wideneing. "Have you not the seen the shape shifters?" he asked him. "Shape shifters?" Replies Atticus in a shocked manner. "Yes son, the shape shifters. The same shape shifters which carried your little brother when he barely an year old." Replied Alex. "What do you mean" asked Atticus. "Who are you really?" he asked him as his whole demeanour changed. "Son, I tried running after the shape shifter who was carrying the little boy. It was dark, very dark that particular evening. And I tired to catch it, but it was like I was chasing a ghost," Alex said in a apologetic yet commanding tone. He had to maintain the balance as he saw darkness envelop the aura of the man seated opposite him. "And was it the same thing that killed Chris," said Alex. Atticus is completely stunned and in utter disbelief. "Who are you?" Atticus gets up from his chair. "I'am just a cop," replied Alex. "But you son," said Alex. "You are something bigger than all of us. A man whose destiny is the destiny for the rest of us" " Ido not understand," replied Atticus. "It will be revealed to you soon. Who you are son," said Alex. "I'am a bastard whose father did not have the courage to raise him, But left him to hang out dry with his mother, and an infant brother who I keep suspecting was with us, but I have no memory of" replied Atticus. Alex seated firmly just strokes his chin. "I'am just a bastard" said Atticus. "Son, you are more than that. You maybe a bastard. But a bastard of royal blood" said Alex. Atticus does not pay heed to word Royal blood. "The only thing that makes me special are the shapeshifters who keep interfering in my life. They just making my life worse" he says with anger in his tone. His aura of darkness just keeps increasing as time goes on by. Alex was starting to get sorried about his aura. "Son," said Alex. "The shapeshifters are continuously interfering in your life for better or worse. I suspect they have their reasons behind their actions" said Alex. "The crash, the bosses death. Is it because of a shapeshifter. Was it them who caused it?" asked Atticus as he slammed his fist on the table. "Son, don't attract any unwanted attention" said Alex. Atticus cooled down a bit. "I have my doubts," replied Alex. "That is a possibility i thoroughly entertain. There was no body we could retrieve from the crash, added Alex. It was unmanned, but the people here have got so much into the system that they have forgotten where they came from. Who they are? And the outside world that exists in the planet. They have completely forgotten. They do not even at the slightest possibility think that something supernatural can be involved" he continued. "So they continue to search for the bomber. And they shall search it for ever. That is who they are now," he spoke in such a manner that was confusing for Atticus. "Son, i need you to come in tomorrow again at the same time here," said Alex. "Yes sir," he replied to him and takes leave. His trail of darkness Aura still lingering in the room. Alex 's forethought after the departure of Atticus: "I have always suspected that in him lies something evil and dark. He is a man capable of doing bad things without any remorse. And the dark things tend to make their way towards him. Is he aware of his evilness, I doubt it. But nonetheless it resides in him, he is not aware of who he is nor his lineage. But the anger that his father had abandoned him at such an early age has created much anger in him. Me, I personally think that no power of any sort should be bestowed upon him. But I dare not say anything. I do what is required of me to do. I have pledged my allegiance to the kingdom. I'm not that young honest officer i once was. I have become a lot wiser and know the workings of the world. I surrender to the wishes of the kingdom. For this is the kings wish. He demands it and he shall receive it. Our one true king, his highness Maximus."
