Chapter 34: Increase

Alex continued to absorb the soul particles. He had underestimated the amount of souls that were present on the Blue Pole Star.

This planet was created by the Heretic God, meaning that it had existed for at least 1 billion years. The average lifespan of a Sovereign Profound Realm cultivator was only around two thousand years.

And if we were to take a generation as two thousand years, then how many generations fo Sovereign Profound Realm Cultivators had existed on this planet!?

Alex had never thought about this! He had come to this conclusion only because of the fact the moments after establishing the Sovereign Grade array formation, around a million souls had gathered around his surrounding.

And most of them were in the Sovereign Profound Realm!! They had pushed through the lower cultivation realm souls due to sheer power!

Alex frowned at this, while it was great that he might be able to cultivate faster. However, currently his body could at max absorb the souls of Tyrant Profound Realm beings.

He thought about how to deal with this, and came up with a solution. He dispersed the Sovereign Grade Soul Gathering Formation and created an Emperor Grade Soul Gathering Formation.

Although he could absorb the souls of Tyrant Profound Realm beings, he chose to play it safe for now.

Alex had even wondered whether there existed souls of Divine Realms on this planet. And on thinking about it, he came to a conclusion that the chances of that were pretty high. As people on this planet seemed to know that a higher realm existed above the Sovereign Profound Realm, known as the Profound God Realm.

They could not have known about it out of nowhere right? Someone must have reached that and only then do people know about it.

Or maybe it was told to them by the Divine Spirits.

Alex stopped pondering about that and found that the Emperor Realm souls had started to come towards his direction. Without any hesitation, Alex started to cultivate once again.

The purplish aura on his body seemed to have the ability to endlessly devour the souls present!

And so, night turned to day and Alex was still sitting in midst of the formation, with thousands of souls surrounding him, the weakest of them was at the Emperor Realm and the strongest was in the Sovereign Profound Realm.

But, Alex was no longer absorbing them. He had reached the mid level of the Soul Embryo stage overnight.

And even after that he was still cultivating and absorbing the souls present.

The amount required to breakthrough to the mid level of the Soul Embryo stage was a million Emperor Realm souls!!

And now, to advance to the high level of the Soul Embryo stage, he needed around 50 million Emperor realm souls!! 

But now Alex was not worried about this at all, as he could just replace them with souls of Tyrant Profound Realm beings.

So, in terms of the Tyrant Profound Realm, he would require 2 million souls.

Alex had abundant of souls present in this world at his disposal! All waiting for him to use them as cultivation resources!

Alex did not feel guilty about this, as none of them had a consciousness. They were just bubbles of energy at this moment.

There was a bit of resentment in some of them and a lot in a few, not towards Alex, they were not capable of that as they had no consciousness currently. But probably from the lives they had lived.

But that did not affect Alex at all, as the purplish aura on his body removed that and nullified the resentment. He also did not have to worry about the memories or anything. 

Everything that was not needed was removed and nullified by the purplish aura that was surrounding Alex's body. 

This was the effect of the Primordial Soul Devouring Art. 

Alex also came to understand one thing, and that was that the power of souls did not correspond to the cultivation level that the souls had when they were alive.

For example, even a Sovereign Realm Soul possessed enough soul power comparable to that of the 1st level of the Soul Embryo stage.

He found that understandable as the concept of Soul Cultivation did not exist in this world at all.

The strength that their souls had possessed was likely due to the fact that their high cultivation levels had nourished their souls subconsciously.

That is why he was requiring such a high number of souls for making enhancing his soul cultivation.

If compared to the normal system then, he could likely suppress a Divine Soul Realm cultivator with just his soul strength only.

This would not have been the case if this world was aware about the soul cultivation. But fortunately for Alex, they were not.

Alex also did not need to worry about absorbing the souls of Sovereign Realm cultivators anymore as he had already tried absorbing some last night and he did so effortlessly.

He did not know his upper limit or even the fact that any limit existed at all. But he did not want to take any chances, so he did not try to attract souls beyond the Sovereign Realm, if they even existed on this planet.

Right now, Alex had stopped cultivating, as it was already morning and he will know whether or not Yun Che will reincarnate or not. 

He had plans in place for both situations. 

Alex stood up and started to fly towards the Floating Cloud City. He had not dispersed the array formation and made it a Sovereign Grade once again so that when he comes back, he would have enough souls for him to cultivate.

Alex soon reached at the gate of the Floating Cloud City and thought,
