If The Wenjian Sect Wants To Become An Enemy? He Must Be Killed!

Orion's gaze swept over the crowd before stopping on a man clad in simple clothing, carrying a sword on his back. The man himself was unremarkable, but the sword he bore caught Orion's attention—it was the Yunling Sword, a weapon exclusively wielded by the disciples of the Wenjian Sect, one of the three transcendent sects in the Great Zhou Empire.

"Interesting, even the Sword Sect has shown up," Orion thought, his eyes narrowing.

Being a transcendent sect, Wenjian Sect was home to masters of the Holy Realm, and its leader had close ties with the empress—he was her grandfather, a well-known fact throughout the Great Zhou Dynasty.

"Let me go! I'm a disciple of the Wenjian Sect!" the captured disciple shouted angrily. "If my master comes, he'll wipe out you filthy scum! Release me now, and perhaps I'll convince him to spare your lives!"

"How dare you!" Ying Mo stepped forward and kicked the man to the ground. The disciple glared at the footprint on his chest and then at Orion, whom he assumed was the leader.

"You must be Orion, the so-called King of Zhenbei," the disciple sneered. "A mere king is nothing compared to the Wenjian Sect! I'll make sure my master tells the Empress about you, and you'll be begging for your life!"

The disciple's words drew strange looks from those around him. Orion, however, only sneered, an enigmatic expression crossing his face. It was clear this disciple harbored a deep grudge against him, but the question remained—was it personal, or did the entire sect view him as an enemy?

And how could this disciple not know that Orion had already turned against the empress?

"It seems the Wenjian Sect will be a problem," Orion mused. The presence of this disciple confirmed that the sect, deeply intertwined with the empress, was likely to become an adversary. The Wenjian Sect was based in Liangzhou, right in Orion's backyard. If left unchecked, they could become a serious threat.

"Lord, what should we do with these captives?" Xu Chu asked, gesturing to the group of bound prisoners.

Orion thought for a moment before responding, "Release everyone except those with ties to the Zhou royal family."

His primary enemies were the empress and the royal family. While he wanted to conquer all of the Great Zhou Dynasty, he knew better than to make unnecessary enemies, especially when some might have Saint Realm ancestors backing them.

"Go back and tell your masters that the Northern Territory remains unchanged. If anyone wishes to test me, they should be prepared for the consequences," Orion warned, his voice cold and resolute.

Following his orders, the scouts from neutral factions were released, while those aligned with the Zhou Dynasty met a swift and brutal end. The disciple of the Wenjian Sect, now panicking, desperately pleaded for his life.

"No! You can't kill me! My master is a semi-saint and the junior brother of our sect master!" he screamed. "If you kill me, there will be endless retaliation!"

His words elicited laughter from those present. Semi-saints were nothing special in this crowd—except perhaps for Orion himself.

Orion stepped forward, seemingly casual as he asked, "Answer my questions, and I might let you live. Who sent you, and what is your mission?"

The disciple, now trembling, quickly confessed, "I was sent by my master to monitor your army's movements and report back to him. Please, I don't want to die!"

Orion's gaze hardened. So, the Wenjian Sect truly intended to oppose him. Spying on his movements meant they were preparing to act against him. This was not a threat Orion would tolerate.

"Xu Chu," Orion called out.

"Yes, my lord!" Xu Chu responded immediately, his eyes filled with deadly intent.

"No! You promised to let me go!" the disciple screamed in terror.

Orion merely shrugged. "I said I might let you live. Xu Chu, however, made no such promises."

With a cold laugh, Xu Chu unsheathed his blade and struck swiftly. The disciple's head rolled to the ground, blood spraying across the floor.

[Ding! The host's subordinates killed 3 Martial Kings and 12 Great Martial Arts Masters! Obtained 67,200 luck points!]

Orion's thoughts turned to the future. With only a few hundred thousand luck points left to gather, the Emperor-level lottery was within reach. His anticipation grew.

"Yuxiang, have Xiaoyu investigate everything about the Wenjian Sect," Orion ordered. "Yuan Zuozong, Gao Shun, prepare the army. We're going to destroy the Wenjian Sect."

Though it would require a detour, Orion had no qualms about eliminating those who opposed him. His enemies would be crushed, regardless of the cost.

As his generals began to execute his orders, Jiang Qianning approached him, her voice filled with urgency.

"Orion, I want to see my father," she said, her eyes pleading. "You promised me he would be safe. I need to see it for myself."

She had already sacrificed much. Now, she needed reassurance that her father was truly out of harm's way.
