Wolferan looked at the newest report and smiled. He finally had news about the silver eyed demon and it was a confirmed report. He stood his eyes like two Golden torches.
He ordered a bag of supplies to be made as he went outside to wait. He started to pace once outside, being too impatient to wait much longer.
Finally after a long while a servant brought him a bag of supplies. Wolferan grabbed the bag and with an impatient leap he flapped his black wings taking to the sky. He climbed high up into the sky heading for Rynion.
He found it odd that he would get a report of the silver-eyed demon from the same city he had last seen her in. Although he was curious about this he was more concerned about catching her.
He had to admit he was obsessed with catching her. He knew it had to be his dragon instincts that were driving him to obsess over catching her. What concerned him was not the fact that he was obsessing in catching her but was obsessing over everything involved about her. His instincts were demanding to know everything about her and even though he tried to ignore it he couldn't.
He willingly admitted he was obsessed but he wasn't positive if by now it was purely an obsession coming from not being able to catch her or something else. He also couldn't tell if he hated her because of her methods or because he couldn't catch her but knew he hated her or at least he thinks he does.
He wanted to skin her alive once he caught her. He had only one other instance of one of his hunting targets who had called forth his hatred. That person had killed children in brutal ways that had made his blood boil. Once he had caught the man his fate had been horrible up till his death.
He wasn't sure if he'd do such horrible things to the silver-eyed demon once he caught her but he knew he needed to vent this frustration he had once he caught her. He was not one to be trifled with and he demanded to know what had made her go on this path.
Wolferan blew out a short puff of fire to calm himself as he flew swiftly. He looked below to the ground seeing the green forests and valleys pass by under him. He fixed his gaze on the horizon towards the city of Rynion where the latest report on the silver-eyed demon came from.
——
Half a day had already passed by the time he could see the silhouette of the city of Rynion. None were faster than him when it came to flying. Normally it would take just over a day to reach Rynion from his home if any others flew the distance. Wolferan could shorten the time it took for him to fly the same distance as others due to his strength and magic.
He looked down at the city and glided down to the ground in front of the city gates startling the guards. Wolferan knew these particular guards actually when he looked at the two men. Last time he was in the city he had talked with them.
Wolferan nodded his head in greeting before he walked into the city. His destination was the inn where the report of the silver-eyed demon had originated from. He walked down the streets having already been told where the inn was.
He found the inn and looked at the sign that depicted a sun before he stepped inside. He walked over to the counter where he saw a tall lanky older man debating the price of a room with a young burly man.
Wolferan sat to the side to wait for the men to finish even though he didn't want to wait. He didn't want to alert his prey if she was still within the inn. He looked around the inn at the others looking for a sign of the silver-eyed demon.
He flicked the tip of his tail impatiently looking at the men arguing on price. He spoke finally, unable to wait a single moment more.
"excuse me gentlemen I need to speak with the owner"
The men looked at him and for a few moments they didn't speak. After a bit the tall lanky older man cleared his throat to speak.
"hello sir, I'm in the middle of a business transaction so I'll get to you when I'm done"
Wolferan huffed silently, "I'm here about one of your patrons. I'm a bounty hunter and this person is very dangerous so if you'd please…." He left off his words looking at the man.
The man blinked and after a moment went over after the young burly man waved him off saying he'd wait. The tall lanky older man looked at wolfram and spoke, "I'm Stalek, which patron are you seeking?"
Wolferan looks at the man. "I'm seeking a cattrina with white fur who could be going by the names, Nuluna, Kimi or Tunrun. I was told she has been staying here." He watched as the man, Stalek, blinked in nervousness.
"The cattrina you seek has already left. She left this morning. She was going by Kimi. What crime is she being persecuted for?" Stalek obviously was nervous.
Wolferan clicked his tongue hearing she was gone before he stood saying, "She is a killer of the highest skills." He then turned and left the inn not bothering anymore about the man.
He headed for the city gates to talk to the guards to discover where she could be heading. He walked to the city gates and approached the guards there speaking up. "Excuse me, this morning a white cattrina left the city. You know which gate she left from?"
The guards looked at him and one spoke up. "No white cattrina's have left through this gate sorry." The guard knew him to be a bounty hunter and didn't withhold any information from him.
Wolferan nodded to the guard before going to another gate in the city to ask. He walked swiftly through the crowded streets of the town thinking about how to catch the silver-eyed demon. He walked keeping his wings tucked into his back to avoid them getting bumped into and injured. He couldn't afford a broken wing currently. Not when he was so close to catching his prey.
He walked up to the next city gate and once again asked if a white cattrina had left through the gates this morning but with no luck at the gate. He flicked his tail before he headed off to the next gate.
He needed to think of a new way to catch the silver-eyed demon. His normal ways of catching her weren't working so he needed to try something new. He normally worked with the city guards but he decided after he caught up to her he was going to go solo. He worked with the city guards only to try and minimize any damage or injuries to the citizens. This time he was going to try and work without the city guards to catch her.
He reached another gate and this time had luck; the silver-eyed demon had left from the gate. He nodded his thanks to the guards before he left the city and took flight.
The gate she left from was the gate that had the road that led to the capital city. He wasn't sure why she was headed to the capital but knew he had some time to set up a trap for her. On foot it would take a week or two to get to the capital but by flight it would only take a day or two for him to get there.
Wolferan smiled, a terrifying thing to see currently. He flapped his wings and picked up speed. He wanted to get there and set up his trap for her as soon as possible.
