CHAPTER 3: Do I know you?

Another few years have passed, and Lan is in college while Leo is in his last year of high school, both of them have become taller than Ashly. Brother Han is a detective in the serious crime division. He and Sister Jun have a cute daughter named Lany. Sulli is a professional boxer right now and Meng inherited his father's business, they were dating each other after Meng's graduation day. Ashly is just the same, with no high education and no university certificate. Only take care of the bakery with Aunt Chin and Sister Jun. One morning, Ashly is walking with Dao to the park, she sees a car that she never saw before come out from the park, she thinks of her neighbor's new car and then walks straight to the park. She straight sits on her favorite bench, then she noticed a man sitting in front of her across the playground. Then the man walked away, Ashly didn't get a chance to see the man's face because of the slide in front of her. At night, Ashly, her family, and her friends are having dinner together. When finished, she sends back Sulli and Meng to their car, waiting until they

left. Before getting into the house she turned around and notice the same car that she saw in the morning. She gets into the house, and while her brothers were cleaning the table she asks if their neighbor buy a new car. Lan and Leo ask each other and say they don't know. She ignores the car and helps Lan wash the dishes then goes to sleep. At Lan college, there are held a food festival for a charitable activity that is open to the public. Ashly and Leo come and they were looking for Lan. Leo went to buy some drinks for a while. Ashly goes to a girl and asks about Lan. The girl is just silent for a moment then asks Ashly why she looking for Lan. Before Ashly did answering Lan and Leo come. Suddenly, the girl goes to Lan and holds his hand            `why are looking for my boyfriend?'          Leo burts drink in his mouth and Ashly holds her laughter, Lan put down the girl's hand in a hurry. Ashly hold Lan's hand and said                   `why don't you tell your sister that you have a girlfriend? Later invite her to have lunch together.'              Lan nodded his head while covering his face. Leo laugh at the way the girl acted, he tries not to laugh loudly while the girl got shocked and hurriedly apologize. She said that Ashly looks so beautiful. That's why she feels a little bit jealous when Ashly looking for her boyfriend. The girl does a proper introduction while bowing her head          `My name is Chua, I'm 21 years old, I'm in the same class as Lan, and I like everything about him.'           Lan still covering his face and his ear turn reddish. Leo Interrupts the conversation             `Do you love him?'               Chua faster answers the question and said        `Yes'.       Leo asked Lan         `Do you love her?'            and he said          `.....yes'.            Both of them start to blush. Ashly goes to Chua, she pats her head softly. She says                    'you're pretty and adorable, want to be my little sister'.                     Chua smiles brightly. She tells Chua to call his sister and Chua hugs her happily. After a couple of days, the bakery started to get busy. Ashly works so hard but she  tells others to take some rest if they were tired while she working. Aunt Chin and Sister Jun can't do anything about it because Ashly is the stubborn type of person who doesn't stop if her work is not done yet. The next day, the customer comes not so much so they can have a little bit of rest. Ashly feels tired but she still goes outside and water flowers herself. When she watering the flowers, suddenly 2 men cover her mouth with a small towel and they were wearing a mask. She fainted, then they carry her to a car which was the one that she thought it her neighbor's car. Dao attacked them but they throw him to the road and he died and got hit by a car. Aunt Chin tries to chase them but they got away, she calls Brother Han about the kidnapping. Quickly he asks the police patrol to find the car. Ashly had asked him about the car and he remembers the car's plate number. They found the car and start chasing it. But they got away after violating a red light and causing an accident. The car goes to the wood to a hidden place. Because of a bumpy road, Ashly wakes up. Silently, she opens the door and jumps off the car. She was unlucky because she falls into a steep, and her hand was scratched by a sharp rock. Even though the steep is not so deep, she doesn't have any energy left and she faints. They take her and cover her arm with a shirt and continue their way. They arrived at an abandoned factory, a man was waiting for them. The man goes to Ashly and takes her. He saw the wound on Ashly's hand and say                 `You said you will bring her safely?'              Then the man gave the signal to his butler named Chris to shoot them. Ashly woke up and sees that she was in a bed with a bandaged arm.The man comes, and he brings food for Ashly. They just look at each other, the man starts talking and says            `You need to eat, you look so pale and lost a lot of blood' while holding a spoon ready to feed her and she just opens her mouth obediently. It's weird for her because he feeds her gently as if nothing happens. After finishing eating, she asks him           `Why am I here?'               He told Ashly to have some sleep first, she was confused but still do what the man said. Ashly sleeps for a long time, then she wakes up and sees the man sleeping on the sofa in front of the bed. She silently gets up and tries to run away. After Ashly gets out of the room, the man opens his eyes because he doesn't sleep at all. She gets out of the house and got shocked. The house is on an island, she looks back and sees the house is really big. She feels dizzy and then passed out. The man got out and carry Ashly back into the house. Chris asks him if they can lock the door but that man doesn't agree with it and tell him that Ashly doesn't know how to get out from there. At the same time in the bakery, everybody was waiting for Brother Han. Brother Han arrives and takes a deep breath before getting into the bakery. He saw everyone there including Chua, Sulli, and Meng. He told them that's the police found the car but Ashly not there. They found 2 dead bodies near the car. They were shot. Aunt Chin starts to be anxious and say                     `Why this has to happen to Ashly, she is a good child. Why? Why is this world not fair to her, she lost her family, and Dao  just.....'                then she cried. Sulli begged Brother Han to find her and he promised. Lan and Leo just stand while their tears flow out because their precious sister got kidnapped and Dao died, they blamed themselves because they are not at home at that time and they can't do anything to save Ashly. After a couple of hours Ashly woke up again, she sees the man sitting on the same sofa and just looking at her. The man starts introducing himself                ` My name is Andrew, I'm sorry about what's happened.                   Ashly asks him                  ` Why are you kidnapping me, do I know you?'.           He replied       `.....Yes, long ago.'.                 Ashly asks how? where? when? But Andrew was just silent. She asks him another question         `Can I go home?'.                 Andrew stands and walks out of the room, before he gets out of the room he replied to Ashly's question with no and leaves her with an anxious feeling. She is trapped there. 3 months have passed, and Ashly is still stuck on the island. She acts as if nothing happened but inside she always feels depressed and anxious thinking about her family and tries to find a way to get out of there, that place has tough security especially when Andrew is there. Andrew always watching Ashly. They ate at the same table and sleep in the same room. Ashly will ask him the same question but Andrew still not answering it. In the morning, Andrew stays in his office and goes down to see Ashly in the evening, at night he sleeps on the same sofa. Sometimes he goes out to go somewhere and comes back after at least 10 days. One day, Andrew need to go somewhere for urgent work. Before he leaves, he looks at Ashly for a moment then set off using a helicopter. The next day, Ashly starts her plan to escape. She unlocked the door of the keys room using an iron pin that was part of the stand light in the room. She went back to the room and broke the lamp and pull the wire to her bed, she put the wire on a pillow and a blanket that she tears up. She switches on the button, put the wire together, and makes a spark. The fire began to burn the pillow and blanket then the bed. Chris comes with a fire extinguisher. After the fire is extinguished, he noticed that Ashly had gone. He tries to open the door but it is stuck with something. By using a walkie talkie he told all people that Ashly had run away. They try to find her everywhere but then they saw her riding a boat to run away. They go to the keys room and find that all the keys were gone. Ashly throws the keys into the ocean and drives far away. After she gets onto the beach, she lets the boat float away. She saw a fisherman's village, she heads there. She got into a truck that brings fish to the supermarket in the city and gets off when the truck stops at the traffic lights.
