Chapter 14

Ash sat next to the thron. Two days had passed since the assassins tried thier best to kill his majesty.

He stared at the doors, then suddenly a notification came in.

[Quest: The assassins will try to attack his majesty tonight. Defeat them. ]

[Reward: Sword of Sworrow, Gloves of Sworrow, Eyes of Sworrow ]

[Bonus Quest: Kill the assassins using trickery. ]

[Bonus Reward: Shield of the Betrayed, Boots of the Betrayed, Magic of the Betrayed ]

[Special Quest "Hail to the King": Make them your subordinates. ]

[Special Reward: "Arkangels Downfall"(Ability)]

Ash needed to blink twice. 'This can't be real. Why the f*** does it sound so overpowered?' Ash got confused, but after a little time he got up and excused himself. "Sorry your majesty, i need to do some things. I will be back before sunset."

While Ash left the castle, one could feel pressure when he passed the guards. 'I think i will take the rewards. Even if i can't use them, they are still nice to have.' he thought. A smile appeared on his face which showed his excitement. With the rewards in his mind, he started to scout the forest outside of the city. He could complete the first quest inside the castle while he could complet the last two everwhere he wanted.

Hours passed and Ash worked on some traps outside of the city. He would chase them in this direction after they left the castle. His plan was as complicated as ever. If the assassins were going to be traped inside the castle, he would give them a riddle with the hope of freedome if they answer correct. Then he would chase them out of the city and kill them using different identities and forms. If they weren't traped and could flee, he would trap them in a magical mist where he would trick and kill them. If all of them were captured he would disguise himself as a prisoner and kill them.

"Hey Ash, you are finally back. His majesty didn't even want to leave his room while you were away." a guard told him. Ash could feel how anger started to rise insde of him when he heared this, but then he looked at the guard and recognized him. " Prince Edward your talent to disguise yourself is almost as good as his majestys." Ash said with a smile on his face.

A few hours had passed since Ash had entered the city again. The whole city seemed to be quiet as if it was waiting for something to happen. The palace, which usually was guarded, looked almost empty. 'Some thing is wrong here. Why is it so silent?' Bastio thought while he was sitting on top of a roof like a crow. 'Watch me, m*th**f***ers!' someone thought.

Three shadows appeared infront of a window. Without saying a single word one started to cut the glas, another one threw a little tube through the hole once it was finished. After the tube broke, the whole floor started to fill itself with mist. The third shadow passed the hole and sneeked towards a door, while the other two searched for the guards which would come around in exactly five minutes. The third shadow opened the door slightly and threw a look inside. 'Three guards inside one by the window, one next to the bed and one right behind the door. The whole family inside.' send the third shadow to the other two shadows. The shadows retreated back to the door and the first one threw another tube inside the room. Sleepgas filled the room and none of the guardians reacted. All three sneaked inside the room and stood right next to the bed. "Sorry your majesty but you have to die for the sake of us, the human race." one whispered and graped a dagger hidden inside of the shadows coat.

The shadow lifted the dagger slightly and it then began its journey towards his majestys neck. Then suddenly, the shadows hand, who held the dagger, was empty. A fourth shadow appeared right behind the first one.
