Ascension Of The Strongest Warlock

William was a man whose source of work had turned him into the most wanted criminal in the world, but within those unfeeling eyes there held a throbbing warmth that belonged to his only surviving relation; his younger brother. However, his end came from that very same relation, and with endless pain, William breathed his last on earth only to find himself in a strange world and renamed; Jerouch. In a world ruled by warlocks and divine powers, sold by his family for awakening a worthless grimoire, Jerouch once again felt hurt and betrayed. Unknown to the world of Vastoria, a being with the name Jerouch had been gifted the greatest grimoire ever to exist. The treachery of two worlds had birthed a cold-hearted man who only sought power. 25 Triple Advancements

Several skills were activated all at once as they converged towards the dying serpent.

His vision had long blanked out, and only his sheer will keep him awake.

Even at that, he continued with the activation of his skills until mana exhaustion sent a backlash.

Jerouch didn't know how he did it. However, one thing was certain.  He was able to land the last hit on the vicious serpent.

Thud!

The powerful will that supported him this far finally stopped as he achieved his aim.

With nothing else to make him stay awake. All the pain, stress, and exhaustion that had piled up, rushed to every part of his body as his consciousness drifted away.

His body free-fell and landed on the ground amidst blood and flesh.

When the serpent attacked them, Jerouch had received a notification immediately. However, with how dire the situation was back then, he couldn't even bring himself to be distracted for a split second.

Now that he landed the last hit on the monster. However, the system had started calculating his juicy rewards.

[The host has killed an injured B rank monster. ]

[Large mana accumulation. Preparing host structural function for extreme advancements. ]

Level up

Level up

Level up

Level up

Level up…

The level up notifications kept ringing until Jerouch began to feeldiscomfort,t then soul-wrenching pain.

' Argh! ' He clenched his hands onreflex,x even though he wasn't aware of what was happening. His muscles budged, and thick red blood vessels were visible all over his skin.

Jerouch was unconscious, yet, the pain was strong enough to jolt him awake and also make him convulse.

'' Arg- ''

He wanted to screa, butt he couldn't. His body started swelling as though he would burst, which he did.

Poosh!

His right leg burst and turned into a paste of meat and blood, followed by his left leg.

[Directing excess mana for host restructuring. ]

The system notification popped u, butt Jerouch was in no condition to see that, his mental state was in disarray. He wasn't conscious, and neither was he unconscious.

He felt as though he was in a scary nightmare, where he was being subjected to torture.

At times, he felt as though his lungs were punctured and they had stopped working.

With his eyes and mind half closed, he endured the excruciating pain that zapped around hisbody,y which now looked like a puffball.

So many body parts were bursting apart, but they were being repaired again, almost at a faster speed.

After about half a day of tearing and repairing, the process eventuallystopped,d giving Jerouch room to catch his breath.

' Ouff! '

' Ouff!! '

Jerouch's eyes abruptly opened like a long, dead skeleton who was suddenly summoned by his master.

He grabbed his throat and startedcoughing,g which lasted for five minutes.

' Dammit.' He cursed in a low breath.

He looked pale due to the strain his body just went throug, andd he covered his nose, seeing the gory sight around him.

His body parts were scattered everywhere, and that increased the stench in the already puke-inducing hall.

He dragged himself away from the puddles ofmeats which were now layered with fungi.

The stench in the air made him stop breathin, andd his gut twisted in distraught.

The notification that rang afterwards, however, pulled his attention away from the nauseating surroundings.

[Triple advancement in rank]

[Host has advanced to C rank. ]

That was the first thing that popped up as soon as he regained his sanity.

Jerouch saw the notification and a bright smile appeared on hisface,e which soon turned to a frown.

[Multiple daily quests failed.]

[Punishment- drop in one rank. ]

' The fuck is this system talking about? ' Jerouch's eyes twitched. He breathed in and out and gnashed his teeth as a vein appeared on his forehead.

He remembered completing his daily quest before entering thecanyon,n so what was this all about?

He looked around the hall and saw dried blood and signs of rot on the serpent's organs.

' T-this doesn't look fresh. ' He frowned.

From Jerouch's train of thought, he was only unconscious for at most a day ortwo,o but the state of the things inside the hall told him otherwise.

' Fine. ' Jerouch muttered in defeat.

It wasn't as if he could do anything to the system anyway.

He could only endure and allowed the system to fix things the way it deemed fit.

If the system could make trash like him, something, then everything was worth it,including the punishment.

The best he could do for himself was to ensure he dutifully followed the system and not get on its wrong side lest it left him.

And who knows, perhaps his Grimoire would go back to being useless…

[Rank synchronization complete.]

A new notification jolted him to his senses.

As soon as the notification popped up, Jerouch felt a newfound strength gush through him.

He looked at his skin and he found it very smooth, tight, and resilient. He had shed the weak old ones and was now left with a powerful new skin.

His vision too was better, and so were his other senses.

He could see the dents on the rocks from a hundred meters away, and the surrounding mana felt closer.

There was a build-up of power in him begging to let itout,t which he did.

He punched the large skullnearby,y blasting out his exhaustion and…

Krack

Boom!

The large serpentine skull at first had cracks forming on it until itexploded,d turning into dust.

' Tsk. ' Jerouch clicked his tongue in satisfaction.

Then a couple of notifications rang again.

[Quest- survive]

[Reward- An ancient staff]

[Staff of the ancient @#$#- this is the staff created by the ancient @#$# himself using the core of reality and the primordial mana. ]

[Attribute]

Indestructibility

[Host cannot see the other attributes at his level]

' Oh my…' Jerouch facepalmed.

' W-when, did I receive the quest, also the sceptre? '

This was too good. He didn't have to get someone to make a personal weapon for him.

The system was a blessed manufacturer itself. And although it usually came at a greater cost, the rewards were, without lie, satiating.

Before he could finish drooling on his luck, he heard another 'ding.'

[Host has completed the system tutorial, A new quantification system shall now apply to the main system settings ]

' Oh? ' Jerouch arched his eyebrows as he opened the status page.
