Xavier is one of the unluckiest people in the world. He is affected by a disease that has made him bedridden for his whole life. His only salvation was Souls-like games. Just when he accepted the fact that he had died, the unimaginable happened... he reincarnated in a fantasy world. But Xavier knows better than to blindly trust strength, because nothing in the world in free, and everything requires a proper compensation. But before I start doing anything, I need to be sure to not run into anything dangerous... I'm barely stronger than a twig right now lol.

I could hear a slight noise to my left. I was coming from behind some trees and bushes. It sounded like water.

To learn anything about this world, there are 2 options: Ask the people of this world; And Ask the 'Guide' a question using FP...

"I don't think option 1 would be possible now... I don't see or hear anything related to intelligent life around here. And I don't know if they would be friendly towards me."

I decided to take option 2, Asking the 'Guide' using FP. "Do something difficult to gain FP...", I muttered. "Let's go to that water source first, maybe I'll find something interesting?"

I started walking in the direction of the water source. Withing 2 minutes, I found myself right in front of a small stream. The water so clear that I could see the stony bottom. And the most important thing, I could see fish inside the stream!

"Yesss! Maybe catching fish could be one of those 'difficult tasks'?", I thought to myself.

I turned back to face the trees again. I walked over to a tree with a rather sharp looking branch, and tried to snap it off. Of course, it didn't work...

Frustrated, I pulled down the branch with even more force, and eventually my whole body was hanging on my arms on the branch. I was now in a pull-up position. I've never done pull-ups ever in my life... I couldn't even if I wanted to. But I felt like, if I tried, I could do it here.

I jumped of the ground and mustered up all the strength in my arms to pull myself up to the branch. I succeeded. It was actually easier than I thought. But the branch was still intact though...

I needed more force. I started violently pulling my body up and then releasing my whole body weight on the branch. I got pretty tired after the 5th try. But finally in the 6th pull-up, the branch broke.

"KRUACK!" "DHRUGH" "OUCH!"

The branch broke, and so did my hip-bone, or at least, I thought so because the pain it caused and the sound it made.

[Difficult Task Accomplished!]

[Task Level: 2]

[Reward: 20 FP]

[Total FP: 20]

[No Bonus FP has been rewarded for the simplicity of the task.]

"Oh wow! I didn't expect that! well, I guess it really is a difficult task if you really think about it..."

"Maybe this is enough?", "Query! 'How Do I Use Magic?'"

[Query Received!]

[Required FP: 150]

[Couldn't Answer Query!]

[Reason: Not enough FP]

"150?!", I exclaimed. That would mean, I will have to break branches like this 7 more times?!

"well, at least now I know that failed Queries don't take your FP...", I tried to look on the bright side.

"Welp, Crying and Moaning about it won't help... might as well do this...", I steeled my resolve and recalled the countless hours I spent on Elden Ring, Farming runes to level up. "This is Nothing compared to those days!"

I got up from the ground and looked for another breakable branch. I found one, and then started the process of breaking it.

After a solid hour, I had broken all 8 branches.

[Total FP: 160]

Tired and sweaty, my whole body was aching. But I still had one task left. Asking the 'guide' about how I could use magic.

That's right! Xavier is going to be a mage. BUT, all the sword fans, don't drop this yet! (Its not like I even Have any fans...)

I promise that the magic systems and combat is going to be interesting. I'm actually putting a lot of thought and effort into making a reasonable and logical magic system, so it makes sense when a new spell is learned and when a new Level is reached.

If by any chance anyone is actually reading this, thank you for reading... I mean it. Its not like I'm writing this so that other people can read it, its because my head just won't stop coming up with ideas about magic and fantasy stories! If i don't write this down, its gonna hinder my studies in the future.

BTW: Human Interaction is still a bit far away. So have patience.

Romance is still very far away.
