As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. "Are you good, or do you need me to take you home?" asked Caleb, studying Lily as Dominik and Damien left the room. The second brother, the one that was originally upstairs with her, silently entered the living room, taking up the gap between Brandon and his friend.

Brandon and the man next to him straightened up, their bodies tense at the very suggestion that Lily wouldn't want to be taken home by them while the newcomer stood there dispassionately.

"I'll be fine. They are annoying and never seem to know when to shut their mouths, but I am safe with them," smiled Lily.

There was a low growl coming from the man not related to her, but unlike before, she was able to ignore him.

"If that ever changes, come find me," replied Caleb, handing her a card right before he left the room.
