As Satoru Gojo in the DC Universe

'Strange' is a term that can be defined in a number of ways. Though waking up as Satoru Gojo in a messed up world was certainly strange. Now follow the new Gojo on his path to becoming the strongest. Will he reach said goal, or merely die a meaningless death. Or maybe he will ascend as the honoured one.

As she read the message the phone in her hand was crushed to fine pieces. The residuals fell to the ground but she did not care, she could not care.

It was ridiculous. No, it was insane. Getting the attention of the whole Intergang base was already a suicide mission. They have already been fighting for hours on end without any breaks. Intergang was relentless and their armoury was no joke, it was difficult to defend against. But now this?

[Retrive what we came here for, I won't be showing up.]

That was the entire message, most would think it strange for someone of Deathstrokes caliber to leave the most important part of the job to other's. But Rose knew exactly what that message had meant. He perceived this job as not worth it and that is why he was not going to show up. Either that or there was a danger here that he did not want to deal with. But what could be so dangerous that even Deathstoke would stay clear? She could not say, but one thing she did know was that him leaving her behind like this could have only meant one thing.

She was not important enough to even consider keeping around. This job was impossible, she was sure to die here. Maybe she would last a few day's maybe a few week's but eventually she would die or be captured. Slade knew her full capabilities, on an Island filled with Intergang member's and with no supplies her chance of survival were so low that it was not even funny. She knew he was not one to show affection, even if it concerned his own daughter.

But she hoped, she really did. That one day he would acknowledge her efforts. To acknowledge how far she went for him, to acknowledge her as his daughter. What wishful thinking.

She could not help but think as a plasma bolt neared her face.

"Oi!" She felt someone pull on her as the bolt missed by mere inches, striking a tree behind her. Glancing to the side she saw him. "Damn, what the hell did you see on that phone that made you freeze up?" Oh right, he was here too. This boy who's name she did not even know.

Said boy shurgged as if dismissing his own question and it was then when she noticed that the dozen or so Integang members were still firing yet no plasma bolts came their way. But she quickly took note of why that was, dozens of plasma bolts were frozen in the air as if suspended in time itself. It was a surreal sight especially given that these were not physical constructs.

"Damn it! It's some kind of forcefield!" One of the Intergang member's shouted as plasma fire rained down on them only to be stopped by this strange invisible force.

"Bring out the big guns then!" Rose watched as they ceased their fire from their plasma rifles. One of them stepped forward something akin to an overly large and heavy rocket launcher hoisted upon his shoulder.

"The 'big guns' is actually a big gun?" Gojo questioned not seeming too worried as the man pulled the trigger. A large bolt of plasma ripped through the barrel with such a force that a small shockwave was generated. Dust was kicked up and tree's ached as the shot sped through the air at such a speeds even she perceived it as a blur. And then it collided...

*BOOM!!!*

An explosion ripped through the air as an even bigger shockwave was generated, even some of the Intergang member's found themselves flung to the side like ragdolls as the huge explosion resounded throughout the area.

"Did...did that get them?" One of the lucky one's who did not get flung to the side asked as the dust cleared. Revealing a grinning white haired boy and a dull faced white haired girl, both unscathed.

"That...did not in fact get them." Gojo responded with an oh so helpful input. "Now then, why don't we have some fun, yeah? I hope you brought bigger toys." Gojo spoke with a grin as he cracked his knuckles.

[ONE BRIEF BEAT DOWN LATER.]

"You know. I don't think they're trying any more. They're just sending the same guy's after us." Gojo mutterd more so to himself as he stared at the sprawled out bodies of the Intergang member's. This whole thing was honestly getting pretty boring, the only thing he had to look out for was sneak attacks. That was mostly because he did not want to exhaust himself too quickly by keeping Infinity active for too long. Hence he used the full extent of Six Eyes, sure he still tired himself out but to a slightly minor extent. No one was sneaking up on him this way.

"Apparently there's been a slight chance of plan." He noticed Rose talking through grit teeth.

"Oh? Do tell."

"Our job's changed. Deathstroke won't be showing up anymore. We're suppose to retrieve the object we came here for." She informed as Gojo quirked up an eyebrow.

"So we're suppose to retrieve something we have no idea about?" He questioned slightly bemused. "Ah I see. Daddy dearest isn't expecting us back is he?"

"Yup." Rose rather uncharacteristically answered. Gojo just nodded as he hummed whilst rubbing his chin as if in deep thought.

"Well then let's find the main base." Of course upon hearing his words Rose looked at him as if he were an idiot.

"I haven't known you for long. But from what I gathered you really aren't the brightest, are you?" Of course an exaggerated gasp escaped Gojo as he heard her words.

"Oh you wound me, Rosie." He said as he held both hands over his chest. "And I'll have you know that I am the brightest. Radiant in fact."

"Sure. Then how are we suppose to find this base of their's, mister 'brightest'?" Rose asked though she was not exactly expecting a serious answer.

"Eh, I already found it a few minutes ago."

"You're screwing with me."

"Am not." He immediately retaliated back. "Look at this handsome mug of a face. Would this beautiful face lie you?" The only thing she took note of with his face was that he was in fact still good looking and his lips looked surprisingly kisseable.

"All I see is the face of an idiot." Of course another exaggerated gasp.

"Fine be that way. Pshh, see if I care." He spoke as he folded his arm's and looked away, only to immediately glance back. "Sooooooo, wanna raid a base with me?"

"Ah, what the hell. You're an idiot but sure." Rose answered with a slight grin. If she was actually going to die then she might as well go guns blazing.

The base was designed to blend in with the surrounding environment, so as to remain hidden and undetected by outsiders. It was a massive complex spanning several square miles, with walls that were at least 20 feet high and fortified with layered steel plates and reinforced concrete.

The entire perimeter of the base was guarded by a high-tech fence made of thick wires laced with sensors and equipped with motion detectors and security cameras. The cameras were mounted on tall poles that tower above the perimeter wall, providing a 360-degree view of the surrounding area. The fence were connected to a central control room where the guards were stationed, always alert and ready to respond to any security breaches.

The main entrance to the base was a massive gate made of thick metal, beyond said metal doors revealed a long tunnel leading into the main base. Once inside, visitors were greeted by a sleek and modern lobby area, furnished with comfortable leather chairs and state-of-the-art equipment. The walls were decorated with artwork and high-resolution screens, displaying real-time feeds from surveillance cameras and other data sources.

The corridors of the base were lined with high-tech laboratories and research facilities, equipped with the latest instruments and machinery for carrying out cutting-edge experiments. The walls were fitted with transparent glass doors and windows, allowing to view the work being done inside.

The conference rooms were fitted with large screens and projectors, along with high-quality audio systems for remote communication with other bases and facilities. The walls were adorned with advanced video walls and information displays, which provide real-time data on experiments, security status, and other important information.

The entire base was powered by a sophisticated, renewable energy system, with solar panels and wind turbines scattered around the perimeter. The base also had large underground reservoirs for storing water and other essential resources, ensuring that it can withstand extended periods of isolation from the rest of the world.

Truly in such a 'state of the art' base most would find it impossible to attack. The very idea must have seemed idiotic if you would ask most. Guard's were stationed near every corner and spread throughout the entire base. And all of them were equipped with weapons that were far more advanced than anything else on this planet.

Truly attacking such a heavily guarded area would be a plain stupid idea. But....

"Nothing's working!"

"Just keep firing, damn it!"

"Screw this! I didn't sign up for this shit!"

"Hmm~ Hmm~ Hmm~" A white haired maniac happily hummed a tune as he extended his arm. Three of the Intergang members were suddenly flung to the side where a small blue orb rested against the wall of the lobby area. They mercilessly crashed through the wall as their bodies got thrown as if they were mere ragdolls.

Standing slightly behind him, another white haired maniac looked slightly flabbergasted. Were one to know her mind then her being so flabbergasted would be understood. She knew the boy before her was strong, she knew that when she fought him and lost. She knew that when he easily dispatched of the Intergang members outside.

But was he just always holding back?

That question sat through her mind as she witnessed him quite litteraly bulldoze through an entire heavily guarded base with a grin on his face the entire time. No attack reached him, and he merely made a slight gesture with his hand and all obstacles were tore down.

"Wish you told me earlier you were such a monster." Rose started as they moved through a corridor. "We could have atleast have avoided wasting this much time on this damn Island."

"Well ya never asked, Rosie~" He only got a dry look from the young mercenary.

"I hate you."

"Love you too." Gojo happily replied and Rose could just sigh as they came to a stop at barred entrance with two large and heavy iron doors keeping them out. Not for long it seems as Gojo clenched his right fist as it shot out. One of the doors received the full impact as it shot out from its hinges a large dent in the remains of the iron door as it skidded on the ground before coming to a stop.

Rose could not find herself surprised anymore as the two moved into the room.

As they stepped through the room, they were immediately struck by the sterile and clinical atmosphere. The floors were spotlessly clean and were made up of a white, glossed material that reflected overhead lights, making the room appear brighter and larger than it actually was. The walls were painted in a similar shade of white, and the entire space was illuminated by high-tech LED lighting that casted a bright, cool white glow.

Beneath the lights, one could see the different pieces of equipment that were littered throughout the space. On one side of the room, there were several tall, silver cabinets lined with blinking lights and screens that appear to house sensitive scientific machinery. There were several lab tables scattered throughout the room, each covered in an array of tubes and beakers filled with various amounts of liquids in different colors, some even smoking or bubbling from ongoing experiments.

The air, which is filtered to be free from any contaminants that might negatively impact the experiments, was cool and dry with a hint of a chemical odor. As they walked through the now apperant lab, they noticed the faint humming sound, which appeared to originate from the various hardware situated around the room. The mixed noises blended with the dull sound of their footsteps and the occasional beep of medical equipment.

"No one's here." Noted Ravager. "They must've already evacuated the place."

"Eh, who cares? Maybe our prize is in here." Gojo spoke as he pulled out his bandages, wrapping them around his eye's once more and spiking his hair upwards. A shame.

"I'll browse through their computer's, see if you can find anything that stands out."

"Roger that, captain." Gojo said with a two finger salute.

Rose moved to one of the various computers which were still on, that fact probably meant any of the people stationed here must have left in a hurry. She typed away as she glazed over meaningless information.

"Delta Experiment.....Zod Project, Beta.....Alpha #1....Alpha #2.....Kryptonite Weapon Blueprints....." Most of what she could find were records and documents kept on experiments held or ongoing experiments. With the occasional blueprint for a weapon, she did not even know what it was she should be looking for.

Her eye's moved over the desk of the computer until they came to a stop once she spotted a lone flash drive. Picking it up she stuck it into the computer before typing away at the keyboard.

[MOVING FILE'S]

[PROGRESS 1%.....2%...3%.....4%...]

Moving away from the computer her eye's scanned the lab for Gojo only to find him entering through the entrance once again, only this time.....

"What the hell is that?" She could not help but question as he sat something onto the ground. It looked like a large coffin only it was made of a thick steel and something was ingrained into the centre of it. It was a kind of symbol reminiscent of the Latin letter "Z" in its shape.

"Dunno, looks valuable though. Was pretty heavily guarded too." Gojo informed with a shrug.

"I was infront of that computer for like a second, how the hell did you....you know what? I don't even care." Rose spoke as she turned back to the computer, seeing all the file's were completely moved she took out the flash drive and shoved it in her pocket. "We have everything of value this place can offer, now we only need to find a way off this Island."

"C'mon we'll fly off of course."

"Why am I not surprised you can fly too? You really are a freak."

"Oof! Your word's cut deeper than any sword." He said over dramatically with a hand over his heart. "Anyway..." And like that he went back to normal. "Want me to princess carry you?"

"Fuck off."
