Hearing

The hearing began immediately after all members of the SRC and SEB of the Faculty of Economics came. The committee for the session was DEB from the SRC Faculty of Economics. Ardilo, Stefa, and Yola sat in the front because that was the main issue in the hearing this time. After the opening session, the committee started the core of the session.

"We received a report that there was a disgraceful action taken by Stefa against Yola because it involved the relationship between Yola and Ardilo. We don't want to interfere in personal matters, but this is about the good name of the SEB of the Faculty of Economics," said the committee.

All listened well. Taera and the others were worried about what sanctions SRC would give the three of them.

"Previously, we will allow Stefa to defend her actions. We have to hear what is the problem for Stefa so that she takes this action," the committee continued.

Stefa sighed and made up her mind, to tell the truth.

"Thank you for the opportunity for me. Previously I would like to apologize to all members of the SEB of the Faculty of Economics for my actions that were not commendable, so this hearing was held. I defend my friend whose relationship has been disturbed by Yola. I will not do that without reason. Maybe some of you already know that previously there was an incident where Yola hugged Ardilo at the SEB Secretariat of the Faculty of Economics. For me, it is also an action that is not commendable considering that Ardilo has already had a girlfriend, and Yola knows about it. I slapped her to remind her that Yola shouldn't do that. Thank you."

"Okay, thank you for the explanation, Stefa. But, here are you aware that your actions are not commendable for interfering in other people's business? Why can't Ardilo's girlfriend take care of the problem? Why do you have to interfere under the pretext of defending your best friend?" asked the committee.

"Because I think Yola has crossed the line. I don't mean to interfere, but I only want to help my best friend, who is Ardilo's girlfriend," explained Stefa.

"Okay. Now I want to ask Ardilo. What is the actual chronology of events that made Stefa do this? Don't you know that a boy and a girl shouldn't be alone even though they are in the SEB Secretariat of the Faculty of Economics because it can cause slander?" asked the committee.

"Okay. I'll explain. So, when it happened, I was at the SEB Secretariat of the Faculty of Economics alone. At that time, I wanted to study there and wait for the exam time to arrive. Yola suddenly came and hugged me. I already asked the reason, and Yola said at that time she was sad and needed support," explained Ardilo.

"So you think it's Yola's fault?" asked the committee.

"Yes, that's right. I have witnesses, namely Yuna, Putra, and Taera," replied Ardilo.

"Okay, we will ask for witness statements first. Please, Putra and Yuna to testify in turn," said the committee.

Putra stood up and started to explain, "At that time, Yuna and I were also waiting for the exam time, and we went to the SEB secretariat of the Faculty of Economics. We wanted to go in, but we saw Yola hugging and crying to Ardilo. So, we decided to just go outside. We were shocked and curious, so Yuna and I watched them both to be witnesses if anything else happened. However, it turned out that Yola hugged Ardilo twice, and it made Taera cry, also was the reason why Stefa slapped Yola because I thought it was very natural. After all, Stefa wanted to defend her best friend," explained Putra.

Now it's Yuna's turn to testify. "It's true what Putra said. We both became witnesses on purpose. We weren't forced to be witnesses either, but this was of our own volition because we felt that the main issue was Yola's actions that triggered other actions," Yuna explained.

"Okay. We understand. So, the core of the problem is Yola's attitude. How is Yola? Please provide information," said the committee.

"Okay, thank you for the opportunity. At that time, I was so sad and felt hopeless. Because I saw Ardilo at the SEB secretariat and he was one of my close friends, I spontaneously hugged him because I was feeling frantic at that time. I don't know if Yuna, Putra, and Taera saw us. I also didn't think that this would have an impact on Stefa's actions, who slapped me. Honestly, I don't accept Stefa's treatment," explained Yola.

Everyone immediately wanted emotion. They all know that this is Yola's fault, but why is Yola blaming Stefa instead. The atmosphere became noisy. Then the committee tries to calm down all the members present.

"Okay. Is there anything else to add?" asked the committee.

"I want to report on the incident where Yola and her friends forced one of our members to report to the SRC by threatening her," said Ardilo.

Everyone looked shocked, especially Yola. Her face went pale. Maybe she was confused about where Ardilo got this information.

"Who is the member in question, and is there any evidence?" asked the committee.

"That member is Airin," replied Ardilo.

Everyone present there was shocked. Airin, who heard about that, immediately turned pale. She couldn't imagine there would be another blasphemy and bullying. She didn't want any of that to happen. She doesn't know where Ardilo knows about this. But she was sure that she didn't say that to anyone.

"I have the evidence that Danisa and Erlita accidentally obtained," continued Ardilo.

"Can we see or hear the evidence?" asked the committee.

Erlita then took her handphone. She spins evidence of threats from Yola's friends. Everyone listens to her. They were surprised that Airin had been bullied all this time. Yola's friends and also Yola have gone too far. They were horrified by Yola's actions. They couldn't believe that Yola was like that.

While Yola, who listened to it, immediately turned pale. She wondered how this could happen. Her companions were too careless with her actions and orders. Yola was confused about what to do.

"Yola, do you admit that it was your order and plan to cause this problem?" asked the committee.

Yola, who wanted to make excuses, had seen the faces of SEB members of the Faculty of Economics who looked disgusted with them. She wanted to dodge but the facts were already there. There is no other way but to admit.

"Y... Yes, that was my plan," said Yola, finally confessing.

Everyone felt like cursing her at that moment. The atmosphere became noisy. Once again, the committee had to calm the participants who were there.

"Okay, we will discuss first what punishment will be given to the three of you," said the committee.

The committee discussed for a moment to decide what they should give to Yola, Ardilo, and Stefa. They consider many things. Although this is more of a personal matter, the reputation of the Faculty of Economics SEB was tarnished because of them. The committee must decide to give a fair and appropriate punishment.

"Okay, we have decided. For Ardilo and Stefa, we will give punishment for doing community service to the community around campus during the holidays. You can make a work project and run it during the semester break, and make a report that is submitted to the student at the beginning of the even semester" said the committee.

Everyone was relieved that Ardilo and Stefa's position was still safe. They are grateful that Ardilo was not removed from his position as Chairman of the SEB.
