Chapter 4 – Strangly Strong - 5
The disgruntled old man slowly lurches toward me, and he exudes an intense aura of Spirit energy.
I remember reading about this type from the books but had never seen it in person entirely.
Only in short bits from the father showing off.
He uses his spirit energy like a shield which is why he was unfazed by my earlier attack.
He dashes toward me in a silent mood, and I respond quickly by summoning a rock pillar to try and create distance.
In that instance, he stomps his foot on the ground retreating my earth magic, and I come hurdling towards him, and he catches me by the throat.
As if by instinct, I reach behind my back and pull out the short blade that Arlo had given me.
Seemingly pulling the sword from its sheath that's on my back, I go to perform a slashing motion to the man's arm that has me by the throat.
A loud clang noise sounds as I come in contact with this man's arm, and sparks fly, but ultimately, I am unable to even pierce his skin.
