Ordinary members would receive three meals a day consisting of one meat dish, two vegetable dishes, and a bowl of rice, while regular members would have two meat dishes, two vegetable dishes, and unlimited rice. Core members would have no restrictions at all.
Ordinary members would earn 30 points a day, regular members would earn 50, and core members would earn 100. Additionally, every time the Search Team went out on a mission, they would earn an extra 100 points.
Points could be exchanged in the warehouse for various snacks, daily necessities, and eventually, there would be entertainment facilities. Specific exchange standards would be announced by the warehouse team later.
"Are there any questions?"
The hall fell silent. Although there were still some doubts, no one dared to voice them.
Ye Zi'an's earlier intimidation had left a strong impression on everyone, instilling a sense of instinctive fear.
It was Chen Ruoxue who spoke first, "I think the points system for the Search Team should be slightly increased, given that the dangers of collecting supplies outside are much greater than those faced by logistics personnel inside the fortress."
Her words instantly offended a large portion of the logistics staff, but also earned her favor from many combat team members.
Chen Ruoxue was fiery and outspoken, often saying what came to mind without regard for others' feelings, which had led her to be ostracized from the Special Police Team.
"I've considered that too. Many of the rules are still being refined. How about this: the Search Team will earn extra points based on the amount of supplies they submit to the warehouse team, proportionate to what they collect—similar to a sales commission."
"Likewise, if logistics personnel perform well, their team leaders can apply for extra points, and even promotions."
These new rules sparked hope among both logistics and combat members, as everyone could earn additional points through hard work. Although the exact ratios had yet to be determined, at least there was a glimmer of hope.
"The logistics department will assign tasks based on previous divisions, managed by their direct team leaders. The combat teams can sign up with their respective captains based on preference."
With that, Ye Zi'an left with Lin Qianqian and Su Wei, choosing to keep them close to him for oversight.
Unlike Chen Ruoxue and An Ziyu, Su Wei was Su Chen's older sister, and Lin Qianqian was his childhood friend. Although the mental control from the Tower of Babel prevented them from rebelling, the so-called protagonist halo remained a difficult aspect to manage, making Ye Zi'an cautious.
While the Tower of Babel allowed for living quarters, Ye Zi'an still had to personally gather everything needed for the rooms he had designated.
Once Ye Zi'an left, the previously tense atmosphere began to ease.
Zhao Wanrong, appointed by Ye Zi'an as the logistics department head, easily gained the trust of everyone due to her capabilities and her status as the former vice chairman of the Ye Group.
"There's no need to be afraid. Everything Zi'an has done is to ensure that we can live orderly and with hope within the fortress."
Having calmed everyone's emotions, each group began to choose their members.
After the office personnel were assigned, Zhao Wanrong and several group leaders discussed the specifics of several tasks.
While Ye Zi'an had established the framework, the details still needed to be filled in. For instance, although three meals a day were provided, the exact portions and types of dishes still needed to be determined. Currently, the fortress was lacking in resources, and they could only reheat leftovers for breakfast the next day.
Hearing Zhao Wanrong's words, Liu Qinghuan timidly spoke up, "Sister Wanrong, this is the list of supplies that Brother Zi'an provided me. He said all the supplies have already been stored in the warehouse."
Zhao Wanrong glanced at Liu Qinghuan and felt no immediate fondness for her; after all, Liu Qinghuan bore a strong resemblance to her sister, Liu Sisi, though their auras were quite different.
Zhao Wanrong took the list, which contained the supplies Ye Zi'an had purchased in recent days.
"Aren't these supplies located in a warehouse a few kilometers away? I will communicate with the Search Team to retrieve them as soon as possible. Right now, we should focus on tomorrow's supply arrangements."
She returned the list to Liu Qinghuan without hesitation.
Liu Qinghuan felt a mix of fear and apprehension; Zhao Wanrong's aura was intimidating to someone without workplace experience. However, recalling Ye Zi'an's instructions and the importance of the supplies for the fortress's operation, she steeled herself and insisted, "No, Brother Zi'an said he has already stored everything in the fortress's warehouse. You can check for yourself right now."
Zhao Wanrong looked at Liu Qinghuan in disbelief. Liu Qinghuan's insistence surprised her, but she decided to inspect the fortress's warehouses immediately.
As Liu Qinghuan had said, each warehouse was filled with supplies. Zhao Wanrong roughly assessed that the amounts matched what was on the list.
It dawned on her that Ye Zi'an could easily transport the supplies here without anyone noticing, especially given his ability to conjure the tower.
Zhao Wanrong turned to Liu Qinghuan, "I apologize for my assumptions. Thank you for your persistence."
Zhao Wanrong showed no airs of superiority as the department head; her willingness to admit mistakes and learn was part of what made her successful in the business world.
Having received the list of supplies from Ye Zi'an, many of their difficulties were now resolved. Whether it was weapons or food, Ye Zi'an had prepared everything, and all the group leaders would simply need to collect their supplies from the warehouse team.
Seeing Liu Qinghuan's earnest but clumsy demeanor made her different from Liu Sisi.
Zhao Wanrong set aside her previous biases and patiently guided Liu Qinghuan as she helped her document the records.
After finishing everything, it was already 2 AM.
Zhao Wanrong followed Liu Qinghuan to the villa where Ye Zi'an was staying. She had many questions she wanted to ask him in person.
The villa had been specially constructed by Ye Zi'an, modeled after the Ye family home, though not as meticulously built. The first floor consisted of a large living room and kitchen, while the second floor had three bedrooms: one master and two guest rooms. The third floor had four guest rooms.
As Zhao Wanrong arrived at the door of the master bedroom on the second floor, she heard strange noises coming from inside.
At the door, Zhao Wanrong lightly scoffed, her pale face flushing slightly, and turned to Liu Qinghuan to ask, "Is this how you all have been lately?"
Liu Qinghuan nodded, her face turning red.
After a while, the noises from within quieted down.
Zhao Wanrong spoke up, "You go in and remind Zi'an to get dressed. I need to ask him something."
Liu Qinghuan nodded obediently and entered the room.
A minute later, Zhao Wanrong knocked on the door again, walked inside, and got straight to the point, "Did you know about the apocalypse beforehand?"
The gazes of the other three shifted to Ye Zi'an, as this was a question they all wanted to ask.
"So what if I did? And what if I didn't?" Ye Zi'an replied nonchalantly.
With a strong sense of justice, Lin Qianqian instinctively interjected, "If it's true, then why didn't you spread the word to save more people?"
